Our recent tour to Rwanda was exciting in so many ways, and the people were thrilled to have us share the Gospel with them once again.  Thousands of people were healed, saved and delivered of bondages they had carried for years.  God changed lives and gave them hope for all their tomorrows.

As I pondered all God did during our stay, I thought about the value that God places on just one lost soul.  It came to my mind that if one soul was weighed on God’s scales against all the riches in the world, more worth would be placed on the soul He created than on anything this world could offer.  God created man with a soul that would live forever.  Our souls are priceless and very precious to the Lord.

God never planned on anything but good for us—soul, mind and body—but when Adam and Eve sinned against God, mankind was separated from God.  Only the blood sacrifice of the Son of God could bring about our restoration.  Christ Jesus came to earth, was born of the virgin Mary, suffered on Calvary and shed His divine blood for everyone—that if there had been only one lost soul to be redeemed, He still would have done the same thing.  And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.  I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do (John 17:3,4).

All the time and planning spent on our last crusade would have been worth it if even just one soul was won, but thousands came into the knowledge of salvation—what a mighty work was accomplished!  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16).   Just as multitudes in Rwanda took Jesus as their Savior, you too can receive Him as your Lord.  I encourage you today to accept His sacrifice of great love and find eternal life for your soul.
