Be definite in believing what God has said. Doubt none of God’s Word, allow no shadows over it, no maybe’s. Settle it. The Bible tells us in Psalm 119:89, For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven. How long? For time and eternity. Permanently the Word of God is settled in Heaven; that means the Word is settled for us here on Earth, too. God has said it; all we have to do is believe it, and that settles it so we can use the promises in His Word to receive anything and everything needed.

God’s words are settled in Heaven; His words are settled down here—if you allow them to be. The Holy Spirit works around the clock trying to get you to settle the Word of God in your mind and spirit so you can go on to do the work of God, do what He wants you to do. You will not make a great worker for the Lord if you don’t settle in your heart the will of God, the greatness and promises of God for you. Believe His will for you, settle it. The Word is settled in every heart who will give over to it.

It isn’t enough to have the faith of God; you must learn how to use it. The things God gives you are things you then must learn to use. Why do you think the Holy Spirit came to baptize, to live and dwell on the inside of you who are born again? He came to help you, to teach and guide you in using the things God hath made possible for you to have right here on planet Earth.

God said it; I believe it, and that settles it!

God promised to supply all your need. But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). How many people really believe that God will supply all their needs? How many still struggle with that wonderful promise of God? God said He would supply all my needs, and I believe it. God, not man said it, and that settles it.

Are you walking the floor, wringing your hands and wondering what you are going to do? God told you to trust Him. God said it through His Holy Word: Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths (Proverbs 3:5,6). This means God will supply your needs. He would not ask you to walk His paths and then when you do, neglect to supply your needs. He makes plain paths for you to walk on, paths on which He serves you through His grace and power. The paths He leads you on are those of holiness, righteousness, paths full of the fruits of goodness and mercy. His bountiful supply is provided all along those paths. Help yourself to what He offers.

God said it; I believe it, and that settles it.

Since God’s promises of supply are settled in Heaven, you know they are settled here on Earth, also. God’s Holy Word is infallible. No matter what anyone might say against it, no matter how many doubt it, what God has said is settled in Heaven. If it is settled in your heart, you are at one with Heaven.

Why stay up all night full of fear, crying, dreading what lies in store when the sun comes up, wondering how you are going to meet your needs? The Lord promised to supply your needs. Settle it in your mind. When you don’t let the promises of God become real enough for you to settle the results in your mind, you struggle and hope; but struggling hope is not believing.

God’s Word Heals

God declared that He is the miracle God; believe in His miracles because you believe in Him. Believe He works with miracle hands and miracle power. Believe it, and that settles it here on Earth. His promises have already been settled in Heaven, remember; now you are the one who must settle them on the inside. Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee (Psalm 119:11). Hide the Word in your heart and settle it there. My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh (Proverbs 4:20-22). God’s Word will bring healing to your flesh.

God said it; I believe it, and that settles it.

The Word must be paramount in your life, in your spirit. Act out your faith. Faith will do you no more good than the faith you act out. You may say you have a lot of faith, but just the saying doesn’t settle a thing. Lord, I believe you will move for me…sometime. Maybe next year. Maybe ten years from now—but I believe you will. Lord, if I live long enough I may see the day it will happen. You might move. You haven’t settled it. Now is the time to believe.

You are either going to settle these things of God or you are going to be frustrated, living in oppression, depression and despair.

The reason you will not have distress—or worse—in Heaven is that peace, joy and happiness are settled up there. Peace, joy and happiness are settled down here also in the hearts of those who will believe them to be. The trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory (I Peter 1:7,8).

God said it; I believe it, and that settles it.

The Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us (John 1:14). The Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil (I John 3:8). If you have settled in your heart that sickness is a work of the devil, then you can believe Jesus was manifested to destroy that work. Sickness does not come from God. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning (James 1:17). Have you settled in your mind and heart that sickness does not come from God? Some people have not settled it. God does not make us sick. He makes us well. Settle it in your mind and spirit. That’s the end of it. No need to give it another thought. When something is settled, it’s done, over with. You can shake the dust off your hands and move on.

God Answered My Mother’s Prayers

The reason my mother had so much success praying for the sick and for her children is that she settled in her heart and mind that God would answer her prayers. She would say, “Honey, God’s going to heal you now!” It was settled, and I believed it was. She would lay a hand on me and God would heal me. Again and again it happened. She would pray and then start in rejoicing and praising God for the victory. She didn’t worry about me any longer; I was going to get well. It was settled. Why should she follow me around saying, “Honey, I don’t know, you may not get to go to school in the morning. I know you want perfect attendance, but you are sick.” She never said anything like that. It was settled that I was healed. No matter what was wrong with me, I would be going to school the next day.

One time I was in a very serious accident; blood was just pouring out. People carried me to the house crying that I was dead. From all over the neighborhood, folks came running. Some thought I was dead; some thought I was dying. Mama snatched a cloth off the line and said, “Bring him on in!” She called up Heaven. A neighbor lady heard the commotion and rushed over. But when she got to our house she remembered she had left her stove turned on, and she ran back to turn it off. In the meantime Mama prayed; I got my miracle and went out into the back yard. I didn’t even feel weak. From her kitchen door the neighbor lady looked out and saw me. It frightened her almost to death; she thought I had died and she was seeing my spirit. Mama knew it wasn’t my spirit; she knew I was healed. She didn’t tell me to lie down, that I couldn’t go outside because I almost had been killed, had lost too much blood. The miracle was settled in her mind.

When you have the promises of God settled in your mind and heart, you will use them first thing whatever happens. Instead of becoming hysterical about a matter, the promise that God will move is settled. God will bring deliverance! God will perform a miracle! Hallelujah! Our God is more than able. God is on the throne, and He is doing wonderful things. He wants you to use His supernatural miracle faith—settle it!

Nothing Is Impossible for God

The spiritual senses are powerful, divine. Faith is the sixth sense. The Bible tells us that God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith (Romans 12:3). Pure faith speaks to us in Matthew 19:26, But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible. Jesus-faith tells us still today that all things are possible with God.

If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you (Matthew 17:20). If a grain of faith can move a mountain, think how much more a measure can move! Why, a measure could be a whole peck of mustard seeds! How wonderful is the Lord! Use that measure of faith; God is always ready to give you more. God said it; I believe it, and that settles it.

First Peter 1:25, But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. We don’t have to worry about the promises of God going out of style; they will endure forever. Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away (Mark 13:31). Have you ever worn out a promise of God? Have you even seen one that looked tattered? Of course not. The promises are always bright and shining. That’s how bright your future is if you have settled God’s promises in your mind.

Ask What You Will

If you say your hands are in the hands of God, but fail to act as though they were, then you haven’t settled it. You either speak the Word of God that endureth forever with God’s supernatural miracle faith, or you just say empty words.

Many Christians have nothing but words, words that get no results. While they are praying, they don’t really believe God is listening, even though the Bible says that the Lord heareth the prayer of the righteous (Proverbs 15:29). Jesus said, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them (Mark 11:24). We read these words of Jesus in John 15:7: If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. Ask what you will; ask what you will.

Even in Old Testament days there were people who asked what they willed, and it happened. Why? They used the same faith of God and the same Word of God that worked when Jesus was here, faith that still works today. And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets: Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens. Women received their dead raised to life again (Hebrews 11:32-35). The Word of God works. Neither time nor the devil can destroy the Word. It’s all-powerful! It’s settled! Use the Word of the living God and praise Him. God loves to have His children praise Him.

The Word—God said it. The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe (Proverbs 18:10). This is Old Testament God-talk. The words God speaks in the Bible are just as strong and powerful as God Himself and have just as much life. For I am the LORD: I will speak, and the word that I shall speak shall come to pass (Ezekiel 12:25). It shall come to pass! I believe it, and that settles it.

Why should anyone doubt God? We talk about what He created, the moon, the stars, the earth, man and the animals. Are His works really settled in your mind?

Never pray in doubt or despair again. Lord, I’m not fit to talk to you yet. I’ll put my hand over my mouth because your promise isn’t settled in my mind. I’ll be back when I get it settled. Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD (Isaiah 1:18). Go to the Word of God and reason with God. He reasons with us through His Word, not through people’s opinions, not by what people might think.

Keep the Storm Outside

When you settle God’s promises in your mind, a great calm moves in. You wonder why you thought the storm was so ferocious. Oh the storm is still raging, but it’s no longer inside. You have settled it on the inside. Where God’s Word has been settled, the storm can’t reach—although it may be raging all around you.

None of the storms raging around Jesus could reach inside Him. God’s Word was settled for Him in Heaven and on Earth. When Jesus spoke to the angry waves on the roaring sea, His Peace be still had long before been settled, and the calm came.

All of this is ours to use, the whole Bible. It belongs to us. It’s a Bible for people on Earth. If you are planning to wait until you reach Heaven to understand it, you have not settled its promises in your mind. Now is the time you need understanding. Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth (II Timothy 2:15). You cannot rightly divide the Word of truth if you don’t let it become settled in your heart, mind and soul.

Settled, it’s over, done. Nothing more to talk about. Why should you contend with God? Will a man contend with the Almighty? No, when everything is settled in Heaven, it’s settled on Earth. The greatness of God’s power, love, joy and peace is yours. Would man doubt the God who made him? Would he doubt that God sent His only begotten Son to die for him? Would he doubt that Son who died on Calvary? Would he doubt the power of that sacrificial Lamb to deliver whosoever will from all sins? Divine blood He brought—is it settled in your mind? It must be settled there for you to find Jesus and keep Him.

Except a Man Be Born Again

What can wash away your sins? Nothing but the blood of Jesus. People sing it, but some don’t believe it. Believe in the blood; without shedding of blood is no remission (Hebrews 9:22). No remission, no forgiveness of sins comes without the precious blood of Jesus.

I believe it, and that settles it.

Jesus said to Nicodemus, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God (John 3:3). That settled it. There was nothing to add. You are either born again or not. You’re either free of sin or bound with it.

And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free (John 8:32). No longer are you in bondage when Jesus sets you free. If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed (John 8:36). Your spirit should shout it: I’m free! It’s settled on the inside!

Live in the liberty of the Spirit of the Lord. Have that blessed fellowship with Him, walking hand in hand with Him as the first Adam and the first Eve once walked. Thank God for Jesus!

Forever, oh Lord, thy Word is settled in Heaven! How wonderful to be able to look up and say, It’s settled down here, too, Lord! You are a witness that it’s settled. However, if you are frantically agonizing over what to do, you are settled neither in Heaven nor on Earth.

Know that the Word of God is certain. His salvation is real, settled, His miracles a fact. His Holy Ghost baptism is for all born-again believers. Be a witness to the reality of all God has for those who want Him. You won’t be a witness if you are not settled in the greatness of God. To help the sinner, you must be settled in the Word. You can’t bring people into the Ark of Safety as the Lord wants you to unless you do know the Word is all truth. You must know God said it, you believe it and it’s settled.

God Is Our Refuge

For over a year the Noah family was in the ark. Being shut up like that would take quite a toll on people today in this time of stress and unrest, on people who do not have God’s peace settled in their souls. God gave Noah assurance that his family would be all right, and that settled it for Noah.

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof (Psalm 46:1-3). Refuge means protection. Are you secure in God’s protection, in your refuge? How much did you worry today? How much did you worry yesterday? Don’t let worries be your way of life: Believe God and settle it. Believe God not just with your mouth, but with your whole being.

I have heard people say over and over in desperation: I believe! I believe! What were they believing, really? That they would starve to death? That the Lord was going to forsake them? That God didn’t care about them anymore? They were believing fear more than they were believing God’s deliverance. If they were believing all was well, they would be acting differently, a calmness would be there. Jesus said, Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid (John 14:27).

Jesus believed. He acted like it, talked like it, lived like it. It was settled. He taught the disciples to live the same way: Believe it and it’s settled. In God there is nothing to doubt, nothing to fear.

Enjoy the Fruits of the Holy Spirit

Isn’t it settled that the nine fruits of the Spirit belong to God? Of course it is! But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law (Galatians 5:22,23). When such marvelous fruits are offered you, why eat crab apples? If you have ever bitten into a crab apple, the experience should help you realize the drawback of being a “crabapple Christian.” You want to be one of those sweet, wonderful Christians who enjoy the fruits of the Spirit. You believe the fruits are for you, and it’s settled. Unless your determination to use those nine fruits is settled in your mind, you are not using them. God said it. God numbered those fruits, gave you nine of them to use; now settle it.

The Lord is saying to you, Where is your faith! You think you have no faith? You couldn’t be a child of God without faith. Remember, to everyone He gives a measure of faith. What have you done with that measure? God does not mean for you to bury it and not use it. Of course, if you have dead faith, that you can bury; but dead faith isn’t the kind God gives. God gives live faith, working faith, faith that claims all the promises in the Word of God.

Signs Follow Believers

Faith is wonderful. When you look at Jesus, you look at your Savior, your Lord; you look at God’s great love and peace for you, God’s great forgiveness for you. Just looking at Jesus gives you faith. You see your Deliverer; you see God’s fellowship and companionship for you in Jesus Christ. God sent Jesus, His only begotten, to be your elder brother, your guardian, your security, your sufficiency.

Jesus gave us an incredible gift when He said we could use His blood name: And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; …they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover (Mark 16:17,18). God said it; I believe it. I lay hands on people and I believe they will get well. To me that settles it. God said it, and I do what God said. God said they would get well, but some people won’t let this marvelous promise of God settle. If you don’t let it settle, you are in trouble, battling and battling.

Years ago in the very early part of my ministry, God miraculously healed me when I was close to death. Afterwards, I had false symptoms, but I wouldn’t accept them. I knew I had to get well. God said so, and I believed it. I believed God would heal me more than I believed the pain. I knew those afflictions had to be dead; it was settled in my mind. God said it. No one need ever be afraid to accept what God has said.

God reasons with us through the Resurrection. Think of the power in that Resurrection. Saints of God whose bones have been in the grave for years and years have the promise that they will rise from the dead. And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God (Job 19:26). Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead (Isaiah 26:19). You believe with all your heart that on the Resurrection Morn the saints of God will come forth from the graves. Why do you believe the dead will rise? Because you believe God with fantastic faith. Why is it so settled in your mind that you don’t question the resurrection of the righteous at all? You believe what God has said, and that settles it. You don’t even think that the resurrection won’t happen. The devil can’t bother you with doubt about it. God said it; you believe it, and that settles it. You just know that the righteous dead will come forth.

The Bible tells us that the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words (I Thessalonians 4:16-18). Jesus’ second coming is settled in my mind. Is it settled in yours? Behold, I show you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ (I Corinthians 15:51-57). You who are ready will be changed in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye when Jesus comes. Thinking about His coming, I feel the greatness of the Lord upon me in such great waves that it seems I could go up just any moment. Haven’t you felt like this at times? The Lord was so real to you that you felt you could fly away with Him right then. One day it will happen. Jesus is coming again to take the Holy Spirit-filled obedient Christians with Him. God said it. Do you believe it?

God’s Healing Promises Are Many

Do you believe that God said He would heal you? Or do you believe God will heal anyone but you? God said, for I am the LORD that healeth thee (Exodus 15:26). If you believe what God said, then it’s settled.

God has many promises of physical healing. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:5).

For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps; Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously; Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed (I Peter 2:21-24).

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised (Luke 4:18).

And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee (Exodus 23:25).

And the LORD will take away from thee all sickness (Deuteronomy 7:15).

There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling (Psalm 91:10).

Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases (Psalm 103:2,3).

He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions (Psalm 107:20).

Untold thousands have received healing from the Lord when they believed His Word. He said it, and that settled it.

Salvation Is Received through Faith

You who are saved and know that you are: Think about the faith you used to receive that salvation. Where did you get that faith? From God. You can’t receive salvation through human faith; it takes divine faith to believe in the blood of Jesus that will wash away your sins. It takes divine faith to believe the holy blood from Heaven that Jesus brought is still in action today. Through faith it works: Whosoever will, let him come! You believed the blood would wash away your sins; you accepted Jesus into your heart and became a new creation in Christ Jesus. Why? Because God said it and you believed it and it was settled in your heart.

You believed the Word that said, That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation (Romans 10:9,10). Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot (I Peter 1:18,19).

You believed the blood of Jesus would redeem you from all sin. You confessed your sins and asked God to save you. You did everything except believe He was doing it, but you kept in His presence until the Spirit helped you use that faith the Lord had given you. You came to that place you believed you were saved at that very moment, and it happened. You finally settled it.

If you are unsaved, you can be saved. The Lord is a forgiving God. No one has ever loved you the way Jesus loves you, no one has ever cared the way He cares. He is reaching out for you. Settle it in your mind now; believe it and settle it with the Lord. He will sweep you into His arms of love and wash away all your sins, and your salvation will be a sudden thing. No more doubt; no more fear. It’s all settled in Heaven and on Earth.

Let’s get rid of all your sins. Pray the sinners’ prayer with me: Oh, God, save my soul! Forgive me of all my sins. I’m so sorry I sinned against you, Lord! I believe in the blood of Jesus, and I believe the blood of Jesus washes away all my sins. Come into my heart, Jesus. Come on in! If you believed that prayer, now rejoice and praise Him that He has come into your heart.

Act Out God’s Word in Faith

You who need a miracle for yourself or your little one, get ready to receive. Jesus said, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you (John 16:23). As you act out God’s Word in faith believing, He will do it. It’s settled in Heaven, and it’s settled in my heart—now let it be settled in yours. Lord, I bring the cancer victims, the diabetics. I bring those who have had strokes, those who are paralyzed, crippled, those with heart trouble, lung trouble. Lord, I bring those who are in a dying condition; I bring the little afflicted ones. I bring them all to you. I bring them in your faith. I believe your healing power is flowing, and Lord, in the name of Jesus: Heal! in the all-powerful name of Jesus!

The miracle power is in the vision in a beautiful way, and I am beholding it. The Lord is here, and He is there where you are. Watch all improvements daily, and glorify the Lord as you see them.

Write and tell me what happened to you today so I can rejoice with you. God’s blessings upon you. Oh neighbor, God said it; I believe it, and that settles it. It works! It’s settled! Thank God and close your case.
