Have you ever thought about what things give great pleasure to God, or are you too busy seeking your own happiness? You might think that the Almighty God does not get any pleasure from human beings because He is so far above them in glory and majesty that He does not desire anything from them, but you would be badly mistaken. God delights in many things about the man and woman He made. And God saw everything that he had made, and, behold, it was very good (Genesis 1:31). That means God’s creations pleased Him, and you must always want Him to be pleased with you.

You can please God first of all by becoming saved. For the LORD taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation (Psalm 149:4). When people are born of the Spirit of God, their appearance changes, their eyes change; and even their expressions are different. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new (II Corinthians 5:17).

The Father loves His Son so much. When Jesus was transfigured before the disciples, they heard God say, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him (Matthew 17:5). One of God’s greatest joys is seeing people recognize Jesus and receive Him. Jesus said, I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance (Luke 15:7).

Think how much it must have grieved the Father when Peter denied that he knew Jesus on that awful night when Jesus was being tried. And he [Peter] denied him [Jesus] ,saying, Woman, I know him not (Luke 22:57).

Earlier, Peter had told the Lord that he would never deny Him, that he would die for Him; but that did not turn out to be true. When the soldiers stormed into the Garden of Gethsemane to arrest Jesus, Peter got upset and cut off a man’s ear. Simon Peter having a sword drew it, and smote the high priest’s servant, and cut off his right ear…Then said Jesus unto Peter, Put up thy sword into the sheath: the cup which my Father hath given me, shall I not drink it (John 18:10,11)?

Jesus rebuked Peter, and then He stooped down and picked up the man’s ear and put it back in place. And he [Jesus] touched hisear, and healed him (Luke 22:51). That was an all-out miracle! God can do anything! But instead of rejoicing, Peter became insulted that Jesus had rebuked him; and later that night, Peter backslid.

You Can Delight the Lord

You can give pleasure to God, and the Bible says you put a separation between you and the Lord when you don’t believe that is so. Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created (Revelation 4:11).

Job’s so-called friends thought man could not give pleasure to God; and they said to him, Can a man be profitable unto God, as he that is wise may be profitable unto himself? Is it any pleasure to the Almighty, that thou art righteous? or is it gain to him, that thou makest thy ways perfect (Job 22:2,3)? Those men were not saved; and with friends like that, Job didn’t need any enemies. They really tried Job; but he said, Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him (Job 13:15). Job’s friends did not have reality in God, but Job did.

The devil never wants God to have any pleasure, so he is always trying to hurt Him by afflicting and robbing the creation God loves so much. Satan seeks to drive a wedge between man and his God, so never listen to him. He does everything he can to make people think they cannot give the Lord any pleasure because he never wants the Lord to have such delight.

The Bible tells us of different ways that God gets pleasure from the man and woman He made. One of those ways is through obedience. Samuel said to the Israelites, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams (I Samuel 15:22). God told Moses to tell the Israelites, Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine (Exodus 19:5).

An upright heart gives God delight. They that are of a froward heart are abomination to the LORD: but such as are upright in their way are his delight (Proverbs 11:20). The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD: but the prayer of the upright is his delight (Proverbs 15:8). God loves it when you pray from the heart and praise Him.

Those who deal with people and situations truthfully are His delight. Lying lips are abomination to the LORD: but they that deal truly are his delight (Proverbs 12:22). Many people who lie think they are going to Heaven; but the Bible says, All liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death (Revelation 21:8).

God delights in those who glory in knowing that He is God and that He does all things right. But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the LORD (Jeremiah 9:24). If people are going to glory in anything, it must be in the Lord. He is the only one who knows everything.

Seek Divine Wisdom

When you use God’s wisdom, you are a delight to Him; and He will give you all the wisdom you need if you will just ask. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him (James 1:5).

If you are not winning any souls, perhaps it is because you need more wisdom. To make proper contact with a soul, you have to use tact; and you won’t be able to use divine tact if you don’t have God’s wisdom.

God was delighted when Solomon wanted wisdom, understanding and the ability to judge righteously from Him more than he wanted material things. When Solomon first became king, he was so humble; and he prayed asking the Lord to give him the wisdom he needed to understand and properly judge God’s people. And God said unto him, Because thou hast asked this thing, and hast not asked for thyself long life; neither hast asked riches for thyself, nor hast asked the life of thine enemies; but hast asked for thyself understanding to discern judgment; Behold, I have done according to thy words: lo, I have given thee a wise and an understanding heart; so that there was none like thee before thee, neither after thee shall any arise like unto thee. And I have also given thee that which thou hast not asked, both riches, and honour: so that there shall not be any among the kings like unto thee all thy days (I Kings 3:11–13).

God gave Solomon so much, and then he backslid. The Lord had told Solomon not to take any wives from other nations, but he didn’t listen. God knew that such women would turn his heart away from God, and they did. For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods: and his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as was the heart of David his father (I Kings 11:4). Solomon’s disobedience hurt God so much.

To be a pleasure to God, you must be clothed with humility and stay that way. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble (I Peter 5:5). God will give you the grace you need to be humble before Him the rest of the journey; but when you do things God says you should not, you have turned away from Him. Solomon was no longer perfect before the Lord as the Bible says we must be. Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect (Matthew 5:48).

Take a lesson from Solomon because the devil will try everyone. He even tried to get Jesus to fail when he tempted Him in the wilderness, but he didn’t get anywhere with Him. Jesus gave him what is written in the Word three times, and the devil had to leave Him for a season. And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. And Jesus answering said unto him, It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season (Luke 4:4,8,12,13).

Be Truthful in All

You give God pleasure when you shun the things He hates and do the things He loves. These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren (Proverbs 6:16–19). God particularly hates the spirit of sowing discord, and He has moved people out of the body of Christ for doing that.

Those seven things God enumerated included lying; and Paul said, Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another (Ephesians 4:25). Your neighbor is not necessarily the person who lives next door; it could be someone miles and miles away. Your neighbors are your brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus.

We are to be members of the body of Christ who are in one accord as the Early Church disciples were for over 30 years. And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart (Acts 2:46).

Ananias and Sapphira were the only ones who lost that one mind and one accord, and the angel of the Lord killed them both. When the other disciples heard about it, the Bible says, And great fear came upon all the church, and upon as many as heard these things (Acts 5:11).

You must speak the truth in love. But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ (Ephesians 4:15). You do not grow into grace as some people claim. You receive that grace when you receive Jesus, and then you have to grow in that grace. Only then can you become just like Jesus. Then I was by him, as one brought up with him: and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him (Proverbs 8:30).

You can even think like Jesus. Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ (II Corinthians 10:5).

God delights in those who do His works and not their own. Jesus said, I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work (John 9:4). And we must do those works with our whole heart because God does not look at the physical man; He looks at the heart. For the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart (I Samuel 16:7).

Rejoice at All Times

Knowing that you can truly delight the Lord and give Him so much pleasure should give you a rejoicing spirit every day. The Bible says, Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice (Philippians 4:4). It also says, Rejoice evermore (I Thessalonians 5:16). God loves our praises when they are holy.

We can all rejoice in the Lord no matter what is going on around us because there is always something in the Lord to rejoice about. Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified (Psalm 70:4). A true child of God should always be happy in the Lord. But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee (Psalm 5:11).

“Rejoice” means to feel joy or great delight, and you must pass that joy on to others. Do you give joy to people around you? Do you give joy to your brothers and sisters in Christ when you go to church? Do you give joy to your co-workers and family members? When you truly rejoice in the Lord, you give joy to Him, to yourself and to those around you.

John wrote, For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth (III John 1:3,4). John had a lot of love for people, and he taught them God’s truth.

You must rejoice in the Lord even when you’re persecuted for doing what is right. Jesus said, Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake (Matthew 5:10,11).

When you face persecutions, let them drive you deeper and deeper in the Lord. I have always thought of myself as a big nail; and every time persecutions came down like a hammer and hit the head of that big nail, they knocked it deeper into the wood.

Let your persecutions be a blessing and not a curse. The Bible says, Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you (Matthew 5:12). Notice that Jesus didn’t just say rejoice; He said to be exceedingly glad, and He will anoint you with that gladness when you take persecutions like you should.

Just because you are persecuted doesn’t mean you can’t rejoice in the Lord. Persecutions for Christ’s sake will make you strong. The Bible says, Let the weak say, I am strong (Joel 3:10). It also says, The joy of the LORD is your strength (Nehemiah 8:10).

God hasn’t changed, and He is the one we rejoice in. He is the one who gives true joy and gladness, and there is a special anointing God has for gladness. Let Him anoint you because there is great strength in that anointing.

Never Listen to the Devil

When you are persecuted for righteousness’ sake and still rejoice in the Lord, you are ignoring the devil and rendering him helpless. He can’t stand for you to be happy in Jesus; and when you are rejoicing in the Lord, you are giving him no place in your life or mind. Neither give place to the devil (Ephesians 4:27). Some of you let the devil rob you, but you must never do that. Instead, you must say as Paul did, If God be for us, who can be against us (Romans 8:31)?

But and if ye suffer for righteousness’ sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled (I Peter 3:14). When you are persecuted for Christ’s sake, just identify that persecution as coming from the devil; and then turn from him and rejoice in your beautiful, magnificent Lord for all the wonderful things He has done. He has made the way for you when there didn’t seem to be a way. He has supplied your needs when no one else could. He has worked for you even when you were asleep.

Like Paul, it is time for us to rejoice in persecutions. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities [all kinds of persecutions] , in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong (II Corinthians 12:10). The infirmities Paul mentioned were not sicknesses and diseases. Paul never endorsed sickness and neither does God.

When a woman who had what we would today call arthritis went to Jesus for prayer, He called it devil bondage. Ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day (Luke 13:16)?

Jesus Was Persecuted

Jesus was never a coward in the midst of persecution, and He is our perfect example. For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps (I Peter 2:21). Jesus was firm in what He believed and taught, so we should not be cowards and draw back when persecutions come either.

Jesus was persecuted, and we will be, too. He said, Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also (John 15:20). However, we will also be blessed like Jesus was blessed.

Jesus was very God, but He became very man and took on flesh like we have. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth (John 1:14). Jesus was perfect, and the Bible tells us to mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace (Psalm 37:37).

When you are doing a good work for the Lord, pay no attention to those who are unholy; and never take even one step in the direction that would satisfy those who are failing God. For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect? God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar (Romans 3:3,4). Do the words that people spew out from hearts of sin and revenge change what God has ordained to be true? No.

From Abraham’s day up until today, those who have lived by the flesh have persecuted those who have lived in the Spirit. But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now (Galatians 4:29). You are going to be persecuted, so you must learn to rejoice and be glad.

Be Like Jesus

It is time to do what Jesus wants and then rejoice in it. Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart (Psalm 32:11). When you rejoice in the Lord, He will bless you. Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart (Psalm 37:4).

The Bride must be awake in this last hour and be exceedingly glad that she is doing the works of Him who sent her. When we finish our work, we will hear the cry, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him (Matthew 25:6). With the oil of the Holy Ghost in our lamps, we will light up the world in that final moment as we leave this Earth.

The Bride must be on fire with the power of the Holy Ghost and be established in the faith. Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith (Colossians 2:7). Don’t be like those in the Bible who had no root in God’s Word and went by the wayside when persecution came. Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended (Matthew 13:21). You can never be offended by the Word.

Jesus never compromised with people, and we must not either. I always give people the truth. We have to be just like Jesus, and you have to believe that you can be. The Bible says that Jesus came to make us sons and daughters of God. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons [or daughters] of God, even to them that believe on his name (John 1:12).

When situations arise that you don’t know how to take care of, you must ask yourself, “What would Jesus do? What would Jesus say?” Then God will let you know what He would do, and He will give you direction.

It is time to turn from your own thoughts, emotions and feelings and take the thoughts, emotions and feelings of God. Isaiah the prophet wrote, For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts (Isaiah 55:9).

It is time to gird up your loins with the truth and let your light shine for the Lord. Let your loins be girded about, and your lights burning (Luke 12:35). You must be ready at any moment to answer the call of God and let nothing separate you from the love of God. Paul said, Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter (Romans 8:35,36). The Early Church members faced death every day. They never knew when they were going to be killed, but that didn’t stop them.

Paul went on to say, Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him [Jesus] that loved us.For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 8:37–39).

Live in the Word

The Word is our refuge; we must hide ourselves in it. Thou art my hiding place and my shield: I hope in thy word (Psalm 119:114). When you run into the Word, you will find shelter. The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe (Proverbs 18:10).

The Word is alive and all-powerful. For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart (Hebrews 4:12).

Thy word is truth (John 17:17). Only that which is holy will mix with the truth. Jesus came to Earth as the Word made flesh; and He said, I am the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). He also said, Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free (John 8:32). True freedom will electrify and strengthen the whole you.

The Word of God will abide forever. Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away (Luke 21:33).

Anything other than the language of the Word is the devil’s language, and he is a liar. Jesus said, He [the devil] was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it (John 8:44).

Idle talk is the devil’s language, so you must never use it or listen to it. If someone starts to gossip to you, get away from them right away or hang up on them. You must not have the kind of ears that want to listen to such trash, and you must never let anybody deceive you into turning your back on the Lord. Jesus said, I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine (John 10:14).

There are those who are watching you to try to destroy you. They will lie to you to destroy your faith; but you just have to ignore them, rejoice in the Lord and go on your way. Feel no condemnation when you shun them because that is what God wants you to do. It is okay to insult the devil and his crowd.

The only way God will stand up for you is for you to stand up for His truth. Never think you have to laugh at people’s nasty talk or jokes to be polite. You must first be polite to the Lord and rejoice only in truth.

Paul did not mind insulting people when he had to. When there were some who were trying to convince the followers of Christ that they had to be circumcised, he said, As many as desire to make a fair shew in the flesh, they constrain you to be circumcised [in the flesh] ; only lest they should suffer persecution for the cross of Christ (Galatians 6:12).

Circumcision was given under the Law; but after Jesus came, it is only needed for health purposes. God is concerned only with people being circumcised in their hearts. Circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God (Romans 2:29).

Have No Fear

You must recognize that the Lord is for you as an individual. He is a personal God, and you can call Him any time. Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep (Psalm 121:4). God is always awake, and the number to call is J-E-S-U-S. That will put God the Father on the line every time.

In addition, both the Holy Spirit and Jesus make intercession to God for us. Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered (Romans 8:26). It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us (Romans 8:34).

Jesus said, Men ought always to pray, and not to faint (Luke 18:1). It is not time to faint or draw back from God. Don’t run ahead or lag behind, and don’t detour to the left or to the right.

You must pray to God with no doubt because doubt brings fear, and you are to have no fear. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear (I John 4:18). Fear will come, but you must let God’s love flush it out. The only kind of fear we are to have is the kind that honors God. The LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear [honor] him, in those that hope in his mercy (Psalm 147:11).

Trust God

The Lord said, Be still, and know that I am God (Psalm 46:10). When Pharaoh’s army was coming after God’s people, Moses said, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen today, ye shall see them again no more forever (Exodus 14:13).

Moses got the people quiet, and then God made a dry highway for them right through the Red Sea. The sea was 12 miles across and the water was banked up over 80 feet high on either side. And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the LORD caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided. And the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground: and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left (Exodus 14:21,22).

Pharaoh’s army followed them, and the Lord waited until all the soldiers were in the midst of the sea; and then He let the waters return and drown the greatest army of that day. And Moses stretched forth his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to his strength when the morning appeared; and the Egyptians fled against it; and the LORD overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea. And the waters returned, and covered the chariots, and the horsemen, and all the host of Pharaoh that came into the sea after them; there remained not so much as one of them (Exodus 14:27,28). That was a great defeat.

What did Moses do after that? He rejoiced in the Lord saying, The LORD is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father’s God, and I will exalt him. The LORD is a man of war: the LORD is his name. Pharaoh’s chariots and his host hath he cast into the sea: his chosen captains also are drowned in the Red sea. The depths have covered them: they sank into the bottom as a stone (Exodus 15:2–5).

Learn Jesus

Our flesh may shrink at times; but through God, the Son and the Holy Ghost, our spirits can soar. You just have to learn to always lean on what God says and not on your own understanding. Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil (Proverbs 3:5–7). When you are wise in your own sight, that is ego; and God hates ego.

You must unload your burdens on Jesus. If you have something that is troubling you, Jesus said, Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest (Matthew 11:28). If a human being would say that to you, you would run to them and unload right away; so why not do that with Jesus? You can leave your burdens with Him; and He will give you a song of gladness, hope, peace and joy unspeakable and full of glory (I Peter 1:8).

Jesus said, Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls (Matthew 11:29). You cannot rejoice in or praise someone you don’t know, so you must learn as much as you can about Jesus. He is the greatest personality ever to come to this Earth, and we will continue learning more and more about Him for all eternity.

One way to know the Lord is by keeping His commandments. And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments (I John 2:3). This is not referring to the Old Testament commandments but to the love commandments that Jesus brought. When you keep them, you are being obedient to the Lord.

The Psalmist said, I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. Therefore my heart is glad (Psalm 16:8,9). When you are going through tough times, the Lord will gladden your heart. And my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope (Psalm 16:9). The Lord brought His glory down to us, and He shows it to us in victories; so we can expect them. We are greatly blessed; so we should be free, happy and have peace.

Will the Lord hear the voice of rejoicing coming from you? Will you praise Him like never before? The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tabernacles of the righteous: the right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly (Psalm 118:15). The light of the righteous rejoiceth (Proverbs 13:9). We will shine with the glory of the Lord for all eternity.

Win the Lost

When your heart is crying for souls, that cry goes up before the Lord; and He sees every tear that is shed for the lost. They are not salty tears but the tears that Jesus shed when He went to Calvary and died for us. Those tears were from His heart; and He was full of forgiveness when He said, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do (Luke 23:34). Then He bowed His head and died and lifted up His eyes in Glory.

Stephen had that same forgiveness when he was being stoned. Just before he died, he said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God. And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit. And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep (Acts 7:56,59,60).

We have only a short journey left, and we have to finish the work of the Lord. His Son did so much when He was here, but He left much more to be done by faithful people who would be just like Jesus. We must give our hands completely to Him, and they must be holy because we hold the lost souls of the world in our hands. In between our fingers, we must have love, grace, humility and all of divinity or souls will slip through our hands and die without God.

Paul said his crown of rejoicing was to see souls ready for the coming of Christ. For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming (I Thessalonians 2:19)?

We must have joy in the Lord’s coming, and we must seek to rescue everyone we can before Jesus appears. This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come (Matthew 24:14). The Spirit is always leading us forward saying, “Hurry, hurry, hurry.”

The Hour Is Late

Jesus told us the signs that we would see just before He returns for the Bride, and they are all around us now. Then said he [Jesus] unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven (Luke 21:10,11).

Study the signs of the times. They are like big billboards warning us that Jesus is soon coming. Noah had to build an ark, but we don’t have to build an ark because Jesus is the ark. There is room in Him for everyone who wants to go to Heaven, but you must turn your back on all sin. Jesus is only coming after those without spot, wrinkle, blemish or any such thing. That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish (Ephesians 5:27).

This is a miracle ministry, and God raised me up for the great task of leading His people. I have never refused God, and I have always served Him in holiness and with the freedom of His greatness. I can say as the Psalmist did, I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). You can say that, too.

You have to decide that you are going to make it and that nothing will keep you from making the Rapture or going to Heaven. Some people will not seek and receive the Holy Ghost, but no one will make the Rapture without Him. The Lord told me it would take more power to go by air than by the way of the grave; and if you are left in the Tribulation Period and you take the Mark of the Beast, you will be doomed forever. There will be no God for you ever again.

The Tribulation Period will be a takeover by the Antichrist. People will be starving to death; and they won’t be able to buy, sell or even get their money out of the bank without the Mark of the Beast. They will tell you that the Mark is free; but in reality, it will cost your soul. When you take it, you will become a blasphemer; and God will never look your way again. He will despise you forever.

Take the Right Road

Sinner, you can give pleasure to God if you will turn from your sin and receive divine life. The soul that sinneth, it shall die (Ezekiel 18:20). Don’t let anyone tell you that you are going to Heaven if you have even one sin in your life. God gets no pleasure when people die and go to hell. For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord GOD: wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye (Ezekiel 18:32). But He does delight in the death of the righteous. Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints (Psalm 116:15).

If you are walking down the wrong road today, you must turn yourself around and get on the right road. The Bible says, Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it (Matthew 7:13,14).

If you are not living free from all sin, come to Jesus before it is too late. This could be your last chance, so say the sinner’s prayer right now: Oh, God, I am lost. I am walking in the night. My soul is covered with sin, but I want to be free. I know you died for me, and I know there is power in the blood of Jesus to wash away all of my sins. Come into my heart, Jesus! Come on in! If you meant that prayer, now you can say, Hallelujah! He has come. Hallelujah! I am born new. I am going to make Heaven my home, and I will never turn back.

God is God, and those who come to Him must believe that He is God. But without faith it is impossible to please him; for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him (Hebrews 11:6). Divine power will fill up your home if you will yield to God in the name of Jesus. Decide you will spend more time with Jesus and do more for Him than ever before. And always remember to give Him all the glory.
