In Hebrews 11, the Bible lists many things that were accomplished through divine faith, and it shows us that there are two sides to faith—conquering faith and enduring faith. Hebrews 11 mentions conquering faith first when it tells of those who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions,Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens. Women received their dead raised to life again (Hebrews 11:33-35).

That kind of faith conquered right away, and those who used that faith did not have to wait for their deliverance. They subdued kingdoms right away, wrought righteousness right away, obtained promises right away and so it goes.

Enduring faith is mentioned second. And others were tortured, not accepting deliverance; that they might obtain a better resurrection: And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings [horrible beatings], yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment: They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword [It was terrible to see loved ones killed.]: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute [very poor], afflicted, tormented; (Of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth (Hebrews 11:35-38). Some of those saints had to disguise themselves in animal skins so they could go out onto the mountainsides at night to search for food without their enemies seeing them. That was a shameful way to live, but I am sure God is now making it up to them because life in Heaven is perfect.

Why Two Kinds of Faith?

Conquering faith works right away, but enduring faith does not; and you have to be able to use either one. No matter what you are facing, you must yield to whatever the Lord chooses for you when you are walking in His will. There are some things you will have to wait for if you want to be on time with the Lord. They that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint (Isaiah 40:31).

If you don’t learn to wait, you are going to be a miserable child of God; but when you do learn to wait, you will reap God’s promises. And let us not be weary in well-doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not (Galatians 6:9). You don’t have to die to be able to reap God’s blessings, but you do have to learn to wait after you pray or you will have a lot of discouraging hours. All of our prayers cannot be answered here on Earth; some can only be answered in Heaven, but I am not in a hurry to get there. I am hurrying to reap the harvest, and I would hate to face eternity knowing that I did not reach all of the souls the Lord had marked for me to win.

Although enduring faith does not work right away, that doesn’t mean it will not always produce victory because it will, either in this life or in the life to come. The Bible says, For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith (I John 5:4). Through faith, you are an overcomer when you are born of God.

God Knows Best

You may think that divine faith should always produce the same results—that everyone should be able to conquer in this life and see the results of their faith right away—but the truth is that it depends on what God’s divine purpose is for a person in a certain situation. God sees all and knows what is best, and He always has a specific plan for a specific purpose. You have to leave things in His hands and accept the whole plan of God for your life, not just part of it.

Whether you see the result of your faith right away or later, the outcome will always be overcoming victory. We cannot see the future or even tomorrow, but the Lord sees all of our tomorrows; so we must depend on Him. That is how my wife, Angel, and I built this Jesus ministry over sixty years ago.

Paul said, And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose (Romans 8:28). Notice it says God’s purpose, not our purpose; and you have to love God for His purpose to be accomplished. You also have to serve Him in holiness and righteousness and in the pure blood and grace of God.

The Bible says, Be ye holy; for I am holy (I Peter 1:16). You can be as holy as God Himself when you are born again because you become His son or daughter. But as many as received him [Jesus], to them gave he power to become the sons [or daughters] of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God (John 1:12,13).

Faith Brings Salvation

“Endure” means to undergo hardship for a long time without giving in, to remain firm amidst suffering or misfortune without yielding. You do not have to yield to suffering or misfortune because those things are from the devil. I never yield to anything of the devil because I don’t want to be like him.

Faith endures for souls to be saved. Paul said, Therefore I endure all things for the elect’s sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory (II Timothy 2:10). The elect are those who are walking in the whole will of God for their lives.

Jesus was very weary after a long journey to Samaria, and He sat by the well to rest; but He endured to save a soul. He took time with a sinful woman who came to draw water, and it changed her life. When Jesus simply asked her for a drink, she said, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans (John 4:9).

Most of the Jewish people looked down on the Samaritans and even called them dogs, but Jesus loved everybody. Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water (John 4:10). That woman had been selling her body for money, but she accepted the truth; and it started a revival in the city where she lived.

No Sin in Heaven

Enduring faith not only saves souls; you have to use it to stay saved and have eternal life. You can’t backslide and expect to go to Heaven because you won’t go unless you repent again with sorrowful repentance. Many preachers teach once saved, always saved and once in grace, always in grace; but that is not so. Grace is all the favor of God; and once you are in grace, you have to endure to stay in grace.

Without Jesus and His shed blood, nobody can receive forgiveness for sin in the first place. And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission (Hebrews 9:22). Then when you have Jesus, you will not commit any more sin. The Bible says, Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God (I John 3:9). You have to please God to go to His Heaven, and you can’t get through one of its gates with one speck of sin.

Jesus came to save our souls; and He told Nicodemus, Ye must be born again (John 3:7). Just joining a church is not salvation; you have to be born again, and you won’t get to Heaven any other way. The soul that sinneth, it shall die (Ezekiel 18:20).

Jesus came to give us power over sin and the devil. He said, In my name shall they cast out devils…they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover (Mark 16:17,18). The Lord also gives us power through the Holy Ghost. Ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you (Acts 1:8). Nevertheless, many people will never receive the Holy Ghost. Then they will never have the power they need to go when Jesus comes because only through that power can they be changed. If the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you (Romans 8:11). You must have the Holy Ghost.

Suffer for Christ

Jesus endured much persecution, but He never let it defeat Him. For consider him [Jesus] that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds (Hebrews 12:3). You must never give up, and you can’t even faint in your mind. A person who faints can do no more work than a dead person, so ask God to help you to use enduring faith to obey.

Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution (II Timothy 3:12). When my wife, Angel, and I moved to Akron, Ohio to start this ministry, many people and even preachers fought us and mocked us; but we won and rejoiced in winning many souls.

Jesus said, And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved (Matthew 10:22). You cannot just start out living and working for the Lord; you have to continue on and endure. Paul told Timothy, Watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry (II Timothy 4:5). It is not only evangelists who have to endure persecutions; any true child of God who seeks to win souls and tear down the kingdom of Satan will have to endure persecution.

But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were illuminated [lit up by the truth], ye endured a great fight of afflictions (Hebrews 10:32). God blesses us in so many ways to get us ready for the great battles ahead. Some of you may think He is just getting you ready for Heaven; but if you are a child of God, you are already on your way to Heaven. You have to be ready to stand for God until you get there; and you will be all right as long as you pray, fast and live in the Word. Jesus said, This kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting (Matthew 17:21).

Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ (II Timothy 2:3). You can be a good soldier of the Cross as long as you endure through faith. Don’t throw up your hands in defeat when a hard situation arises; be ready to fight.

I stay plugged in to Heaven all the time, and I stay ready to fight. When a crisis comes, I don’t have to search for God because I know He is always with me. As God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people (II Corinthians 6:16). That is a marvelous promise. I don’t know how many times the Lord has said to me in times of crisis, “I am the Lord that walketh with thee.” That is the sweetest music this side of Heaven.

We are supposed to walk like Jesus, talk like Jesus, love like Jesus and work like He worked when He was on Earth. You must be able to say as Paul did, I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me (Galatians 2:20).

Persecution is good for you. You may not think so when it comes your way; but when you brave the storm and come out a winner, you will become stronger in the Lord every time. Thank God, we won’t have any persecution in Heaven; but until we get there, we have to keep our hands in God’s hands because He is the one who will lead us to the Promised Land.

Divinity Changes Lives

Paul was a great Apostle, but he was once the chief of sinners. This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief (I Timothy 1:15). Paul was having Christians put to death; but then, he met the real Christ on the road to Damascus. And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest, And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem. And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven: And he fell to the earth (Acts 9:1-4).

That was Paul’s changing hour; and he heard a voice saying, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks (Acts 9:4,5). To Saul’s surprise it was Jesus, the One he had been persecuting.

After the Lord had finished speaking to him, Saul arose from the earth; and when his eyes were opened, he saw no man: but they led him by the hand, and brought him into Damascus (Acts 9:8). Within just a few days, Paul was saved; and the Lord restored his sight. Then he went on to endure more than any human except Jesus Himself.

Paul had to use a lot of enduring faith, but he never complained. He said, Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me (II Timothy 3:11). In Paul’s final letter to Timothy, he said, I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing (II Timothy 4:6-8).

When you live godly in Christ Jesus, you will receive a crown of life just like Paul did. Then you will be rewarded even beyond that for your works. For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works (Matthew 16:27).

Just as Paul gave up his comfortable life to follow God all the way, so did Moses; and he endured. By faith he [Moses] forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible (Hebrews 11:27). Jesus Christ was invisible to him at that time, but Moses knew that a deliverer would come one day. He told the Israelites, The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken (Deuteronomy 18:15).

Jesus was directing Moses thousands of years ago, and He is leading people today. Those who follow Him will outshine the sun. Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear (Matthew 13:43).

The Word Is Truth

You will never make it in the Lord without faith. Faith is one of the fruits of the Spirit, one of the nine gifts of the Spirit, a piece of God’s spiritual armor and a gift measured to everyone. God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith (Romans 12:3). God has given every person a measure of faith; but I have heard Christians say, “I don’t have any faith.” That is ridiculous because you could not be a Christian without faith; but if you are not enduring, you are failing to use your faith. You need to seek God to help you use your faith.

The Bible declares that faith comes from the Word of God. So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17). You not only have to hear the Word; you must study it. Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth (II Timothy 2:15). Then the Word will bring you all the faith you need.

The Word will never fail you because it endures forever. But the word of the Lord endureth forever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you (I Peter 1:25). I can stand up to the world and all of its persecution because I stand up through Jesus Christ and His Word that will never pass away. Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away (Luke 21:33).

If you are not rooted in the Word, you will not be able to endure to the end. When explaining the meaning of a parable, Jesus said, And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness; And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word’s sake, immediately they are offended (Mark 4:16,17).

You must use the Word to be sanctified. That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word (Ephesians 5:26). The Bible is the holy Word of God, so you must take everything to the Word to make sure it matches. If something doesn’t stand the Word test, get rid of it.

I preach the truth straight and strong, and I will never apologize for it or compromise with anyone. Truth is truth, and people must have it. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me (John 14:6). You will never have all the truth without Jesus, the Word made flesh. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth (John 1:14).

Faith Endures All Things

Enduring faith enables you to yield to the discipline of the Holy Ghost because your feelings certainly will not do that. The Lord has to correct His children, but do you take His correction? The Bible says, If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not (Hebrews 12:7)? If you were raised right, you had discipline in your home; and there must be discipline in the family of God, too.

Paul knew the importance of people having the Holy Ghost; and he said to a group of disciples, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost. And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John’s baptism. And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied (Acts 19:2,3,6).

Faith helps you to endure temptations. Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him (James 1:12). When you are tried and win, you will receive a crown of life. Those who love the Lord are those who serve Him and worship Him in Spirit and in truth. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth (John 4:24).

You have to leave the world completely behind. Before I was saved, I loved the dance floor and the swing bands; but after I was born again, I didn’t want the world’s music—I didn’t even want to sing it or hum it. All I wanted to hear and sing were spiritual songs. Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord (Ephesians 5:19). You can have a great time doing that.

Do You Want Truth?

It takes faith to endure sound doctrine; but today, most people only want to hear things that will make their flesh feel good. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables (II Timothy 4:3,4).

Many people go to church just to socialize or talk about sports and who won the last big game. At Grace Cathedral, we are interested in winning the last big race of life. Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us (Hebrews 12:1).

Faith will give you the strength to work for Jesus and bear fruit. Jesus is the vine, and we are the branches; and He prunes us again and again so we will bear wonderful fruit. I [Jesus] am the true vine, and my Father [God] is the husbandman. Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. (John 15:1,2,4).

Faith Endures Sorrow

Only through faith can you endure the loss of a loved one. The Lord let me know that He would take special people home ahead of time to shake others up and to save souls who could not have been saved any other way. You have to trust God and believe that He knows best and never blame Him foolishly. We may not always understand God’s ways, but that is where enduring faith steps in and takes over.

I know all about the valley of death because I have been there, and I don’t know how people make it without God. The Lord took Angel home to be with Him many years ago; and when she died, I died. I fell into a million pieces, and the Lord had to put me back together again. I was always a happy person who wanted to live; but after Angel died, I did not care whether I lived or died.

I never thought the time would come when I couldn’t talk to God, but I couldn’t even pray. I was just numb and speechless. God had told me that Angel was marked in her mother’s womb for me, and I was marked in my mother’s womb for her; so I could not believe God would take her. He had tried to warn me ahead of time, but I would not accept it.

That was the deepest valley I will ever go through; and even though I didn’t know how I could live without Angel, I knew I had to trust God. Little by little, He brought me out. I didn’t think I could ever laugh again, but God has given me great joy and laughter.

Faith makes beautiful steps; and as you wait upon the Lord, faith will step in and the Holy Ghost will guide you all the way through any valley to victory. In times of trouble, I have heard the Lord say so many times, “I will take you through this all the way”; and then I trust Him to do that.

God is love, and faith works through love. For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth anything, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love (Galatians 5:6). You cannot have God’s divine faith without His divine love because the two can’t be separated. Just as faith endures, love endures. [Charity or love] beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things (I Corinthians 13:7).

You need to have just as much love as you have faith and just as much faith as you have love, and you can. The Bible tells us that the things of divinity come without measure. For he [Jesus] whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him (John 3:34). Christ received faith and the things of the Spirit without measure, and you can have them, too.

Go God’s Way

You can endure with happiness. Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful [very understanding], and of tender mercy (James 5:11). That word “pitiful” here means the Lord has great understanding and unusual love and compassion. Although He is divine, He can feel as we feel. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin (Hebrews 4:15). Jesus was a man, so He knew what it felt like to be human.

You must understand God; but to understand Him as much as you should, you have to be true to Him. Then He will reveal to you the things you should and should not do. When I don’t know what to do, I always ask myself, “What would Jesus say? What would Jesus do?” Then the Holy Ghost will give me an answer any time I need one. You don’t have to wander around not knowing what to do or who you are in Christ Jesus.

From the time I was saved, I always wanted to do everything God had planned for me to do so I could win victory after victory for Him; and He has helped me to do just that. He promised to bring me people from the East, the West, the North and the South to help me do His work; and He is still bringing people today.

God has gathered together a great army, and we are taking Jesus to the whole world. He has also sent angels to help us and minister to us. Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation (Hebrews 1:14)?

We are the heirs of salvation and joint-heirs with Jesus Christ. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together (Romans 8:16,17). There is not a greater statement in the whole Bible than the one that says we are joint-heirs with Jesus Christ. God has made us equal with His Only Begotten Son, the One who died so we could have everything we need as a son or daughter of God.

Stop the Devil’s Darts

God’s blameless children will have to endure the devil throwing many fiery darts at them, but always remember that Satan has nothing good to throw at anyone because there is nothing good about him. The Bible says he is a thief, a robber, a deceiver, a liar, a murderer and so much more. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber (John 10:1). He [the devil] was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it (John 8:44).

People who line up with the devil will do the same works he does, but we have heavenly protection. Let people do whatever they want to do, and trust God to take care of them. If you let them get the best of you, you have given them what they wanted; so turn all your enemies over to the divine blood. Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord (Romans 12:19). I let the Lord pay off my enemies, and He has done a good job.

Child of God, never worry and fret about the devil’s darts that come flying at you because God has made provisions for you to render every one of them helpless. Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked (Ephesians 6:16).

One of the definitions for the word “quench” is to cool suddenly or plunge into liquid. I like to think of the liquid as being the divine, living water, and we must let that divine water flow to give us strength so we can bring souls into the Kingdom. The Bible says, He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water (John 7:38). Those rivers are flowing out of so many children of God now.

Satan’s fiery darts have no power to burn us when we drown them by faith with the living water of the Word, the water of life. We have life while the devil and his demons have nothing but death. We also have the divine blood, and that blood burns the devil and his demons like fire burns our skin; and they run from it.

Stand through Faith

What do you do when trouble comes knocking at your door? You must use the shield of faith that is made available to you in the armor of God. Faith will keep the devil’s trials, persecutions, scourgings, lies and seducing spirits from getting inside you if you let your faith endure for you and win. If you don’t do that, you will give in to your feelings and eventually give up; but you must never do that.

You must use the shield of faith that God has given to you because self is not strong enough to do battle against the devil’s kingdom. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places (Ephesians 6:12).

We are fighting against all the powers of the devil and everything he stands for; so without using the shield of faith, it will be impossible for you to stand. The carnal weapons of our own warfare are not sufficient for the battles we have to face. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand (Ephesians 6:13).

There is no power of the devil that you cannot stand against, but you have to lift up the shield of faith. There are parts of God’s armor that will work just by you wearing them, but not the shield of faith. It is not attached to you like other pieces of the armor are, so you have to pick it up and use it. Then you will be unsinkable.

There is nothing the devil can bring against you to defeat you. All the powers of the devil are going to be destroyed through God’s children using conquering and enduring faith. We are going to shout until we shout his kingdom down, pray until we pray it down and use the Word until it crashes down to the pits of hell never to rise again. We have what it takes to bring Satan’s kingdom down, and we are going to do just that.

We have nothing to fear or worry about. God is our high tower, and He watches out for His children because they are special to Him. The Bible says, I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). If the Psalmist could say that thousands of years ago, how much more should we be able to say that through Jesus Christ, the One who gave His life for us?

Divinity Always Wins

The saints in the great Battle of Armageddon will not be able to be stopped, and we can’t be stopped either. They will be bulletproof, and we are bulletproof now. One day, we will ride with Jesus; and He will be our captain. And I [John] saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS (Revelation 19:11-16).

God’s army will be fearless, and they will defeat the enemies of God in a mighty way. The blood from that great battle will run up to the horses’ bridles for 200 miles. And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs (Revelation 14:20).

I am glad we are living in this final hour. I know it is the most evil hour that has ever been, but think about all the rewards and blessings we will receive. However, I am glad we don’t have to walk this valley of life alone; we have Jesus to hold our hand.

Faith always wins, and the Word of God tells us that we will soon win once and for all. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away (Revelation 21:4).

When God first made man, He made him perfect. Adam and Eve didn’t have tear ducts or a little septic tank on the inside of them; their teeth would never have decayed, and their eyes would have always been bright and shining with the glory of God…but everything changed when they sinned.

Be Grateful

We need to get this Gospel to the whole world, and it takes money to be able to do that. But the Lord told me money is not His problem; people are His problem, and I have learned that. You can almost give your life for some people, yet they don’t even return to say they appreciate it; but Jesus endured when people treated Him that way, and we must endure, too.

No matter how good you live or how much you do for some people, they have the sin of ingratitude; and the Bible speaks about it in the story of the ten lepers. And as he [Jesus] entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off: And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us. And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed. And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God, And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan. And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine? There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger. And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole (Luke 17:12-19).

Only one of the ten lepers turned back to say, “Thank you, Jesus. I am going to worship you, love you and glorify your name for the rest of my life and for all eternity.” I have never heard anyone else say so, but I believe that the one who turned back received the perfect miracle. All of his scars were healed so that no one could tell he had ever had leprosy.

Faith Brings Salvation

Leprosy is a cruel disease that eats the flesh off a person’s bones; but there is something worse than leprosy, and that is sin. Sin is the worst thing in the world, and God has damned sin for thousands of years; yet people embrace it like it is something wonderful.

If you are a sinner today, won’t you give your heart to God? If you will say this prayer and mean it, you can be saved. Oh, God, I am lost! I am so sorry that I have sinned against you, but I have come home; and I am going to serve you, dear Jesus, for the rest of my life. I believe there is power in the blood you shed on Calvary and that it washes away all of my sins. Come into my heart, Jesus! Come on in! If you meant that prayer, He has come. Now, you can say with all faith, “Hallelujah! I am saved, and I am going to Heaven one day.”

If you need a miracle or healing, God has promised to heal His children. That is why He sent Jesus to us with healing in His wings. But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings (Malachi 4:2).

Lord, I bring the people to you. I come with your supernatural gifts to inject divine, miracle power into their bodies. Jesus, you went to the whipping post and shed your divine blood; and with your blood stripes, the Bible declares we have physical healing. By whose stripes ye were healed (I Peter 2:24). If you are blind, you can receive your sight. If you have AIDS, diabetes, heart trouble, lung trouble, leprosy or any other deadly disease, God is healing all of that. Heal! in the name of Jesus. Heal!

Let God’s power flow and get you completely well. Then write or email and tell me what happened to you today, and I will rejoice with you.

You can always be a winner, but you must never forget the two sides to faith. Study the scriptures in this message and spend much time with the eleventh chapter of Hebrews. The more you learn, the more you will know how to conquer, how to endure persecution, how to tear down the kingdom of Satan and how to endure in the Lord and win souls.

You will have to endure many things in this final hour, but you can do it if you keep your eyes on Jesus. Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God (Hebrews 12:2).
