For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps (I Peter 2:21).

Jesus, when He walked the earth, wore shoes that would fit all mankind. His intention? To make a plain path from Earth to Heaven for you to follow. By the Holy Spirit, Jesus was led into the wilderness where He fasted forty days and nights. At the close of the fast, Satan tempted Him by every means possible in an all-out effort to dethrone and destroy the Son of God, to force Him out of those miraculous shoes. Jesus had lived on Earth about thirty years—the sick had not been healed nor devils cast out. After that wilderness fast, however, Jesus was different. Wearing the miracle shoes, He walked the shores of Galilee to shake the known world. Blinded eyes were opened, deaf ears healed and the devils begged for mercy. Wearing the miracle shoes, Jesus could tread devils underfoot and destroy the powers of Lucifer. Yes, the shoes of Jesus are miraculous; but you must believe in Him and all His teachings if you are to wear those shoes He has provided for you. The power that Jesus brought with Him from Heaven is for your use, to fully equip you for life’s journey.

When it came time for Jesus to slip on the shoes of the power of Heaven, He demonstrated how we, too, could receive that power. Most people are selective in what they believe about Jesus, discarding anything that is not acceptable to their logic; they have stripped Jesus of His power and glory until only a shadow of His power remains for them to see. Because they’ve thrown away His greatness, they cannot wear His shoes. If you believe in His greatness, His miraculous acts and strength, if you completely trust His Holy Word, then you can wear the miracle shoes. Everything about Christ was miraculous—believe it all!

Although the world did not know what was about to happen to Jesus, Lucifer did. He saw Jesus preparing to put on the miraculous shoes, and desperately he tried to tempt Jesus into turning aside from the Father’s will. Lucifer offered all the kingdoms of the world to entice Jesus to serve him. On the pinnacle of the temple, Lucifer challenged Jesus to prove He was Christ. Lucifer even used scripture: Cast yourself down, and the angels will bear you up. Jesus knew He need not prove anything to the devil. Neither need we prove to the devil possessed how much Christ we have in our lives. The life you live will speak for you.

Jesus convinced multitudes of His divinity when He used the power of Heaven. You cannot use the power of Heaven unless you are in touch with Heaven. The world will know you’re different when you wear the shoes of Jesus.

The Bride of Christ Must Wear His Shoes

We find the Bride of Christ in the types and shadows of the Old Testament. In the New Testament, the Bride becomes a reality. Today the Bride of Christ is in her final walk across the face of the earth; today she is reflecting the greatness and the power of the Lord as He prepares her for that long-awaited, catching-away hour. Today the Bride must wear the shoes of Jesus. The Bible tells us that many are called, but few are chosen (Matthew 22:14). Few are chosen because few are willing to wear the shoes of Jesus. Those who have spent much time in the prayer closet of consecration, much time fasting and living in the Word of God, now qualify to wear His shoes. In order to wear those shoes, we must have the love that He has. The Holy Ghost will shed abroad that love in our hearts if we yield to Him.

Wearing the Shoes Means Using the Faith of God

Because the disciples had watched Jesus as He wore those miraculous shoes, they followed when He cried, Come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men (Mark 1:17). So much love and compelling strength vibrated through His voice that Peter immediately dropped his nets to follow the Lord. With great enthusiasm and determination, Peter learned by trial and error how to wear the shoes of Jesus, but not until Pentecost did those shoes stay on his feet to not come off again.

Wearing the shoes of the Master means using the pure faith of God, the pure love, the pure knowledge, wisdom and greatness of God. It can be done.

Simon Peter wore the miracle shoes when he pulled out a fish with enough money in its mouth to pay the taxes. When you wear the shoes of Jesus you automatically have His faith. Why worry whether or not your faith is sufficient? Just look through the Word of God, and identify the kind of shoes you’re wearing. Are they the shoes of a man or of a God-man?

Come to Jesus as His greatness pours out in a marvelous way. So many times Jesus has come to us; now it’s time for us, under the anointing of the Holy Spirit, to follow Jesus into the deepness of God, into the secret place of the Most High. Only the miracle shoes of Jesus can take you where you’ll have the peace of God that passes all understanding.

His Shoes Were Not Made to Slip Off

The reason so many have not understood the Word of God is because they have failed to wear the shoes of Jesus for any length of time. Again and again before Pentecost, Peter failed to put on the shoes of Jesus. Some of us have tried on the shoes of Jesus but then slipped them off, thinking: I don’t believe I can make it. The Lord doesn’t want me to wear His shoes. I could never be like Jesus. The Bible teaches that Jesus is our example, and we are to follow in His steps. Jesus said that as He was in the world, so you are in the world. Be an overcomer, walking the waters of life, letting nothing discourage you or cast you down.

Had Peter realized early enough the value of keeping on the shoes of Jesus, he would not have failed in the hour of trial. Instead of walking with Jesus, Peter became disillusioned when Jesus didn’t act in the way Peter thought He should. He wondered why Jesus refused to fight back, why He did not set up His Kingdom on Earth right then, why He did not seek to overthrow the Roman rule. Watching as Jesus allowed Himself to be crucified, Peter decided it was the end. How could he support someone who wouldn’t fight? Then came the Resurrection! When Jesus arose from the tomb, wearing the miraculous shoes that had conquered death, hell and the grave, His plan of salvation started to become clear. The shoes of Jesus are triumphant shoes; they overcome all. Victory in Jesus is yours when you wear His shoes. Jesus conquered problems, making it possible for you to conquer, too, when you wear His shoes. He gave His all so that you could have all. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid (John 14:27); arise in the strength and power of His Spirit, and go ye to the Mount of God daily.

Elijah went to the Mount of God only at special times; but, since Jesus has come, we can go to the Mount of God every day—if we wear His shoes. Climb that Mount; see the greatness of God; hear the voice of the Lord. Only those who wear the shoes of Jesus can hear that small still voice.

Elijah had on the shoes of Jehovah God when he killed four hundred-fifty prophets of Baal: it was a lot of blood to shed. Baal-loving Jezebel, in a fury, sought his life. Fear took Elijah over, and he ran right out of the shoes of miracle power. Many have been guilty of running, when in fear, desperation and frustration they slipped off the miraculous shoes. The shoes of Jesus will not run from Lucifer. When you find yourself fleeing from the devil, know that you have slipped off the shoes of Jesus.

The Father Always Hears Those Who Wear the Shoes

A great price is paid by those who wear the shoes of Jesus, a price so steep that many are unwilling to pay it; but less expensive shoes fall apart before the job is done. Jesus told us about the price: This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting (Mark 9:29). If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you (John 15:7). The price is total dedication to Jesus. Prayer must be free of doubt and fear. Never did fear or doubt come up before the Father in the prayers of Jesus; never did a prayer of Jesus go unanswered. Father…thou hearest me always, Jesus said (John 11:41,42). When you put on the shoes of Jesus, you, too, will know that the Father always hears you.

Why do I have faith to pray for people? Because I know the Lord always hears every word I speak. I pray for the sick, and the Lord answers. It cost me much to put on the shoes of Jesus; it was not easy. At times in the past I had worn the shoes and at times I had not. My life was placed on the altar of God when I became saved, the world behind me for good; but it takes more than receiving salvation to walk in God’s divine will. The hour came for the decision: was I going to wear the shoes of Jesus regardless of the cost; would I choose the divine will of God over His permissible will? I made up my mind that no matter the cost, I would put my life entirely on the altar of God.

There are those who insist they are giving all to the Lord, but nevertheless are withholding part of themselves from Him. It’s time to stop talking and start acting; if the Lord has one hundred percent of you, prove it! If you say you’ll live for Him, then prove it! Put your life on the line for Him.

Grow into the Shoes

Jesus did not talk much; He acted. He wasted no time threatening the enemy with some future comeuppance. Jesus commanded the devils to be cast out, and instantly it was done. Jesus knew who He was and what the Father would do for Him—it’s the same thing you must know about yourself and the Father. Each morning arise secure in the knowledge that you’re a child of God, blood-washed, blood-bought and on your way to Heaven. The devil cannot defeat you this day; no power can cast you down if you’re alive in the Spirit of God and baptized in the Holy Ghost. Even though the Anointer, the Holy Ghost, is in your life, you will come up lacking if you fail to use His anointing. It’s time to wake up and move, time to know whether or not the shoes of Jesus fit your feet. If they don’t, then be aware that you have some growing to do. Use the anointing He has made available to you.

As a child, did you sometimes try to wear your parents’ shoes? They were so large you didn’t think they ever would fit. That’s the way I felt about the shoes of Jesus; I didn’t know whether my feet ever would grow into His shoes. You must grow and develop in the Lord to be able to wear the shoes of Jesus. There is much to learn, but the Lord has promised we can be like Jesus.

His promises are an unbreakable covenant between you and Him. Count all the promises of God dearer than your own life. The Word of God must be more precious to you than the bread on your table, the clothes on your back, more important to you than fellowship of friends and loved ones. Jesus told us that man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God (Matthew 4:4). Learn the meaning of that kind of living; experience the growth that comes from living on the Word and in the Word. Let the Holy Spirit breathe the meaning into you and upon you until every dry bone is gone, until every doubt, fear and frustration has lost its hold. The Word is life; as you grow in Him, let Him become your life. Yield to the Holy Spirit until all the cleansing power of Calvary has flowed through you and made you whole, until it is as though you had never sinned, and you’re as pure as the first Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. While doubters are declaring the days of miracles are over, wear the miracle shoes of Jesus, and see Him move in a fantastic way in your life.

The Shoes Foreshadowed in the Old Testament

The devil trembles as he sees you growing into those shoes. When your stature in the Lord is such that you can move at ease in the shoes of Jesus, then you are a holy terror to Satan and his demons. Of course, the devil will come against you, but throughout the Bible we read how he has been defeated by men who trusted God with all their hearts.

No one but David wore victory shoes on the day Goliath confronted the Israelites and cried, Send me a man! At the beginning of King Saul’s reign, he wore the shoes of the Lord; God had ordained it to be so, and Saul won great victories. Then he backslid. He pulled off the shoes of Jehovah God. The Israelites all wore shoes made by the hand of man; only David wore the shoes of Jehovah God. He had feasted on the goodness of God, and no one had known it. In time of great trial, David, unafraid and single-handedly won victory for the Israelites.

How was Moses able to lead the Israelites out of the land of bondage? He wore the shoes of Jehovah God. How were Elijah and Elisha able to perform such great miracles? What accounted for their unusual strength? They, too, wore the shoes of Jehovah God.

With the birth of Jesus, the shoes of Old Testament types and shadows at last became real shoes. A Babe, born in a crude ox stall and laid in a manger, was to develop into such a power and force for God that Satan would never recover from the days Jesus walked on planet Earth. The vibration of those steps grows ever greater each day, and all hell trembles at the sound of them.

So Close and Yet So Far

The disciples watched those miraculous feet, and they wanted to wear the shoes at all times, too; but little did they know the awful price to be paid. At the most needful time to wear the shoes of Jesus, the disciples ran away in fear. In the Garden of Gethsemane, Peter stepped out of those shoes once again and cut off a man’s ear. Afar off he followed the Lord. You cannot wear the shoes of Jesus unless you walk hand in hand with Him. Without those shoes of Jesus, Peter had no strength, no power to stand.

The shoes of Jesus will make you steadfast, unmovable in the Lord, and yet sweet, gentle and humble. You will stand as a mighty giant and still have the softness, the tenderness and the fragrance of the man called Jesus. Peter was so close and yet so far away; many are like him today. They don’t understand that the Lily of the Valley, that the fertile ground of the Word of God is in the valleys. In many beautiful ways the Lord has revealed Himself to us. There is great beauty in the lily; and if you will wear the shoes of Jesus, you will find great beauty in Him.

Shed Off the Thorns

Jesus, the Rose of Sharon, is without thorns. Are all the thorns gone from you, or are there a few spirits, a few stickers that wound people? Jesus will take the thorns away: it was meant to be that way from the beginning. In the Garden of Eden, the roses had no thorns; the thorns are part of the curse. Jesus came to lift the curse of sin from your life; you need not have thorns that prick and hurt people. Be a peacemaker; carry within you His greatness and spirit of serving. Serve Him the way He served the people. I have meat to eat that ye know not of, Jesus told them (John 4:32). His meat is food that wins souls. When you walk in the shoes of Jesus, you know the value of one soul. All the wealth in the universe is dim in comparison. What shall a man give in exchange for his soul (Matthew 16:26)?

Soon the Rapture

Your sight in this hour is through the eyes of Jesus if you have on the miraculous shoes. Not having a vision of the Rapture in our day means you’re not wearing the shoes of Jesus at all times. Some people never wear the shoes, others only part-time. The hour has now come when the greatness of God is being poured out. You must put on the shoes of Jesus to be ready to do battle against the enemy twenty-four hours around the clock, ready to rise from bed any hour that the Holy Spirit calls you to prayer. One hour, two hours or the whole night through, it matters not—when you wear the shoes of Jesus.

As you look over Jordan with the eye of faith, you see the Rapture about to take place. The hour is so marvelous, so exciting that at times it’s hard to sleep for the pure joy of it. A few more rivers to cross, a few more mountains to climb, a few more Goliaths to slay and then we’ll be home.

Why be afraid when you’re with Jesus? Put on the whole armor of God; shod yourself with the Word of God so you can stand. Jesus is the Word made flesh. Heaven and Earth shall pass away, but the Word of God will abide forever. With Jesus you have nothing to fear, nothing to worry about.

Shoes Tied with the Love of God

When Peter realized that the shoes of Jesus had conquered death, hell and the grave, when he realized those shoes never could be defeated, he became a different man. In the Upper Room he put on the shoes of Jesus, tied them tightly with the love of God and sealed his dedication with the Holy Spirit: he had received the tongue of fire. Instead of running away from Jesus’ accusers, he boldly stood before them crying: You crucified Him! You crucified Him!

Conviction fell; it was marvelous how the people received salvation! He wore the miraculous shoes, and the sick were healed. Brought to him on couches, laid on the streets so that even the shadow of Peter could fall on them, people released their faith and God moved. Multitudes were delivered. Why? Peter was wearing the shoes of Jesus, and he kept them on; miraculous works were performed in the name of Jesus.

When you wear the shoes of Jesus, speaking in His name is the same as Jesus speaking; and when Jesus speaks it’s the same as the Father speaking. When the Father speaks, all hell and Heaven must listen.

Exult in the Strength of Heaven

Do you have the shoes of Jesus? Have you paid the price? That great price to be paid for wearing the shoes of Jesus at all times is more than worth it. The shoes of Jesus are priceless. Wearing those shoes, you never need be afraid. You will never walk alone when He holds your hand. Friends and loved ones, not understanding, may turn against you; but Jesus always understands. You can experience the greatness of God moving for you as your cup runs over; you can rejoice that He leads you into green pastures and restores your soul. When your soul is restored, you have eternal life. Your soul will live forever in the shadow of the Tree of Life.

Joint-Heirs with Jesus

The Israelites slipped on the shoes of Jehovah God and marched twelve miles through the Red Sea on dry ground. The waters did not close in. However, the Iraelites failed to keep those shoes on when they reached the other shore.

Rejoice that it is possible for you to keep the shoes of Jesus—they are beautiful indeed! All you need do is know you have them on. With those shoes you climb out of any valley, you walk the waters of life and nothing can sink you. You are more than a conqueror.

Jesus, in the seventeenth chapter of John, asked the Father: I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from evil…That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us (John 17:15,21). Thank God that that prayer has been answered! We have been sanctified through His blood, made one with the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Through Jesus Christ we have become joint-heirs with Him—how marvelous!

You live because He lives; your soul will never die because He is not dead. Victory is in Jesus, and your faith is the victory. Wearing the shoes of Jesus means having the faith of God. The Bible plainly tells you to have the faith of God. He offers it to you. Wearing the shoes of Jesus entitles you to the greatness and benefits of the gifts and the fruits of the Spirit.

Shoes That Trample the Powers of Darkness

Where do you stand today? If you are in His shoes, you will suffer persecutions…but so what? The persecutions of Jesus were greater. When the devil sees anyone wearing those shoes, he knows he has an enemy; and he begins to plot and plan. Know that in the shoes of Jesus your feet are on solid ground. You don’t have to lie awake at night wondering what to do or planning how to escape. Those shoes will take you right down the straight road, over all obstacles in your path. The shoes of Jesus never detour or take the long route. The shoes of Jesus wade right through the powers of darkness, and the devils flee. Never will those shoes run from Lucifer or be afraid of him. Thank God for Jesus paying such a price on the Old Rugged Cross so that you can wear His shoes! Those shoes cost Heaven everything. Heaven paid the supreme price. It took all God’s love for us to have a Calvary, for each one of us to be able to wear the shoes of Jesus. Don’t think of the price you must pay; think about the price it cost Jesus, and then think about the victories. All that matters is that Jesus paid that price.

Imprisoned, Paul and Silas were wearing the shoes of Jesus that night the jail reeled and rocked under the power of God. It brought the jailer and his whole family to God.

John the Revelator had on the shoes of Jesus when, according to historians, he was placed in boiling oil and came out alive. What could they do with a man like that? Since they weren’t able to kill him, they exiled him to the Isle of Patmos. They thought he would be alone, but all Heaven was visiting him. The book of Revelation, a book filled with fantastic prophecies for our day, was written by him on that isle. All the inhabitants of the earth can forsake you, but you’ll never be alone if you wear the shoes of Jesus. You’ll be visited by Heaven.

Shoes That Walk into Glory

How marvelous to hear someone coming your way who is wearing the shoes of Jesus! How sweet it is for God’s people to gather together in a spirit of unity and fellowship in the Lord! Whenever you feel discouraged, just look down to see what kind of shoes you’re wearing. Are you rooted and grounded in the Word? Is Jesus the Rock of your salvation, the joy of each minute of your life, your all in all? If everyone would leave you, would your security in Jesus remain? One day the death angel may come; nothing anyone can do will prevent it. If you have on the shoes of Jesus, you’ll walk right into glory. As you stand before the throne, God will look down and smile because the shoes of His Son have brought in another soul from planet Earth.

So long as you wear the shoes of Jesus, God never fails you; when you slip them off, you fail God. When you have on the shoes of Jesus, He’ll answer your prayers—He promised. He’ll always be with you—He promised.

Protection Assured

If you do not have fellowship with Him, if you are not walking in His presence, you do not have on His shoes. Because you’re not wearing His shoes at all times, your prayers go unanswered. Perhaps you have them on once-in-awhile; but when the battle becomes heated, you quickly take them off, thinking you can move more easily without them. You can’t. The devil is trying to deceive you the way he has deceived so many others. When you pay the price required to keep the shoes of Jesus on your feet, you have nothing to fear, nothing to worry about. Your protection is assured. Keep on the shoes of Jesus, and allow nothing to persuade you to take them off. Don’t let your human love or sense of obligation to others cause you to fail God in any way. Having Jesus is more precious than all the wealth in the world, more vital than the air you breathe. When you have Jesus, He goes with you through all the storms of life. When you have Jesus, you have the greatness of Heaven backing you up, working for you.

Crucified with His Head Down

Wear the shoes of Jesus; He is your example. Follow in His steps. Jesus cried one day to the disciples; Follow thou me! Peter at last came into the knowledge of what wearing the shoes of Jesus really meant. It took the Crucifixion, the Resurrection and, finally, the dawn of Pentecost before Peter stood upright in the shoes of Jesus. When Peter’s work was done on Earth and he, too, faced crucifixion it didn’t separate him from those shoes. Boldly he walked toward the place of his martyrdom. His request was strange and must have shaken his executioners: Crucify me with my head down. I’m not worthy to be crucified the same way as my Master. Historians tell us that Peter died, crucified with his head down. In Peter’s dying hour, he wore the shoes of Jesus. The glory of the Lord shining upon him, he could see all the way to Heaven. The shoes of Jesus made it all possible.

Grace to Cover All Persecutions

When you come to death’s chilly tide, if you have on the shoes of Jesus, everything will be all right. Paul wore those shoes. At first he hadn’t wanted them; he thought Christians were foolish to wear them, but then Jesus met him on the road to Damascus. From that hour onward, Paul wanted the shoes of Jesus. Ananias prayed for him. Paul received his sight and put on those shoes. Nothing was able to stop him although he was persecuted in every way possible. An angel of the devil went with him to stir up strife everywhere he traveled. He sought the Lord for deliverance, but God said, My grace is sufficient. The Lord does not take away all the persecution, He just pours out more grace to cover it.

When you’re being persecuted and tried, just reach to the Lord. If you have on the shoes of Jesus, you’ll be served much grace. Drink it down; you will find yourself refreshed in His strength, love and determination.

It came time for Paul to die. Nero was going to take his head. Paul’s thought was to write Timothy a letter. It was a pure shout of victory. For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith (II Timothy 4:6,7). Paul sealed his testimony with his own blood. Paul had kept the faith; he had worn the Master’s shoes. Wearing the shoes of the Master means you are always in contact with Heaven.

Are You Wearing the Shoes of Jesus?

With the shoes of Jesus on your feet today, you know the hour in which you live. You know the Rapture soon will take place and that you will be changed in a moment, in a twinkling of an eye. You know this hour, and you know that you must sacrifice much. Invest your time, efforts and money in the eternal Kingdom of the Lord. The world will think you foolish, but the day is fast approaching when man will stand before his Lord, stripped of all hypocrisy; he didn’t receive Jesus, didn’t wear His shoes.

If you’re wearing His shoes, you know you must sacrifice and continue to sacrifice until He says, It’s enough. Many of you, when the last prayer has been prayed, the last song sung, the last soul won, will be standing without spot or wrinkle for God. Wearing His shoes, you’ll be changed in a moment, in a twinkling of an eye, caught up to be with your Lord forever. All time and eternity will not diminish your gratefulness for the benefits of the shoes of Jesus. Do you have them on?

A Prophecy Direct from the Holy Ghost

I am the Lord thy God. I have led you by the rivers of strife. I have taken you through dens of persecution. I have led you through rivers of danger, but I have been with you. I have held you up with a mighty hand because your trust was in the Lord. You have adorned yourself with my greatness, with my love, with my Spirit; and no power can defeat you. You will go forth in this needed hour, and you will take handfuls on purpose to the multitudes, and they will be fed. Their souls will be restored within them; their sick bodies will be made well; their eyes will be anointed with the eye salve of Heaven, and they will behold the hour that you live in. And they will rejoice as you are rejoicing, and they will be made ready for the soon-coming of your Lord.

The hour is late, the sun is sinking fast. Open thine hearts to the Spirit like you have never opened your hearts before because the journey ahead of you must be made quickly.

My cry of victory will be in your ears as you go forth. Joy and gladness will be in your heart, and you will praise the Lord thy God with such joy and gladness that the inhabitants of the earth will see your joy; and many will be turned to righteousness.

With signs and wonders I will show them my greatness, and I will perform mighty miracles that will shake the inhabitants of the earth. Multitudes will bow that have never bowed before. Multitudes that have never known my name will know that I am God. They will look unto me and be saved and filled with my Spirit, saith the Lord. And then…and then…that hour will come, saith the Lord unto this people.

Learn to wear the shoes of Jesus at all times, and you will be ready for that hour, the Rapture of the Bride of Christ. Walking in the shoes of Jesus makes it all possible.
