The Bible tells us, But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come (Matthew 24:37-42).

Do you know the hour you live in? If you really study your Bible and live close to God, you will know without a doubt what hour you live in. The Word of God is thousands of years old, and we are privileged to have it in print form; but how often do you open it and really study it?

God gave prophecies to the prophets of old foretelling things to come. How many people held to those prophecies? How many knew what hour they were in when those prophecies came to pass?

Christ’s Birth Prophesied

Think about the prophecy that foretold the birth of Jesus Christ. It took a visit from the wise men for King Herod to check into that matter. Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him. When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him. And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born. And they said unto him, In Bethlehem of Judaea: for thus it is written by the prophet, And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the least among the princes of Juda: for out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel (Matthew 2:1-6).

How many people saw that star in the sky? The Bible only tells us of the wise men following the star in search of the King of the Jews who was prophesied about. They knew the hour they were living in; and they didn’t miss their opportunity to be a part of it, even if it meant leaving their homes and their loved ones behind and traveling many miles to find the Christ child.

The wise men were so far away from that promise physically, but they were spiritually closer than many of the people who were in Bethlehem when Christ was born. One of the greatest prophecies ever given was being fulfilled right under the noses of those people, so to speak; and they had no idea. They were focused on their own comforts and needs and not on the fact that the Messiah was coming into the world to save their souls.

Don’t Ignore God’s Prophecies

The chief priests and scribes whom King Herod had demanded reveal the prophecy of the birth of Christ should have realized the prophecy they were reading had already taken place, but what did they do with that information? What did they do when King Herod sent forth men to kill all the children in Bethlehem who were two years old and younger, fulfilling the prophecy given by Jeremiah many years earlier? Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremy the prophet, saying, In Rama was there a voice heard, lamentation, and weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children, and would not be comforted, because they are not (Matthew 2:17,18). Why did those priests and scribes not know the hour they were living in?

Why do people not know the last hour we are living in right now? We have the prophecies that warn us of this hour. We can see the end-time signs all around us, but so many people are clueless to this hour just like the people were when Jesus came to Earth and was born of a virgin in a lowly stable in Bethlehem.

The star was in the sky for all the world to see, but how many people followed it? The Gospel light is shining brightly today for all the world to see, but how many are really embracing Gospel truth? How many Bibles are sitting unopened day after day? Friend, if the Word of God is not a part of you, you will not recognize the hour you live in. Other things will become more important to you than the things of God.

Gifts of Love

I want to share a popular story with you that was written in the early 1900s. A young married couple was struggling financially, but they each wanted to get the other person a special gift for Christmas. The wife had saved as much money as she could all year long; but by Christmas Eve, all she had saved up was $1.87. She knew that was not enough to buy anything very nice.

Then she got the idea to sell her most valuable possession, which was her beautiful, long hair. She rushed to the wig shop, and the woman cut off her hair for the price of $20. This was enough money to buy her husband a beautiful silver chain for his pocket watch. That watch was a family heirloom that had been passed down from his grandfather to his father and then to him. It was his most valuable possession, and she knew how much he cherished it.

The wife waited anxiously for her husband to come home from work that night, and she did her best to make what she had left of her hair very presentable to him. When he finally got home, he was shocked to see that his wife no longer had her beautiful, long hair. She didn’t want his reaction to affect her excitement about her gift to him, so she had him open it right away.

The wife thought her husband would be excited when he saw the chain, but she got a different reaction from him. Then he gave her the gift he had bought for her; and when she opened it, there were two beautiful hair combs she had been longing to have but could never afford.

Her husband told her how much he loved the beautiful chain but then said he had sold his pocket watch to buy the combs. Then she cried and said she had sold her hair to buy the chain for his watch. Each one had wanted to do something special for the other; but in the end, they had nothing to show for it because both gifts became useless.

Acknowledge the Gift of Jesus

Gifts will come and go. Some will be put to good use, and others will become useless or obsolete. The couple in that story had sacrificed their most valuable treasures for each other; but in the end, their gifts became useless.

God gave us Jesus, the most valuable gift in Heaven. That gift will never become useless or obsolete, yet so many people overlook the value of it or completely ignore it. Some don’t even know that Jesus came to Earth to bring redemption for their soul and eternal life.

You have to realize that the gift of Jesus is worth all the money in the world, and it’s free to all people. That gift will bring healing for soul, mind and body. Without that gift, you are nothing because Jesus is God’s love gift to the world.

This hour is a late one, but it’s also an hour of grace and redemption. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16). Everyone can have everlasting life if they will reach out and embrace the gift of Jesus.

The Ultimate Sacrifice

God made a great sacrifice to send His only Begotten Son from Heaven to Earth to live in a body that would experience pain and suffering. God witnessed all the times Jesus was disrespected and treated like He was nothing. He witnessed the times people conspired to kill Him. He witnessed the times people came to Jesus to receive a miracle but then went back to their own lives and forgot about what He had done for them.

God witnessed Jesus being betrayed and denied. He witnessed Him being beaten by cruel men until He was almost unrecognizable. He witnessed Jesus being nailed to a Cross of shame while the priests and the scribes mocked Him and told Him to come down from the Cross if He was really the Son of God.

God witnessed soldiers casting lots for Jesus’ garments while His mother, Mary, cried in grief. God witnessed Jesus asking forgiveness for the people saying, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do (Luke 23:34). None of those people knew the hour they lived in.

Study God’s Prophecies

The divine blood Jesus sacrificed on the Cross will last for eternity, but many people did not know what was taking place the day Jesus died. Do you know what is taking place in this world right now? When God gives a prophecy, you can count on it happening. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry (Habakkuk 2:3). A prophecy may not be fulfilled at the time you think it should be, but it will take place.

The end-time prophecies in the Bible are beginning to come to pass, but are you watching and waiting for them all to be fulfilled? The signs are all around us, but have you let the cares of this life cause you to miss out on this hour we are living in? Jesus warned, And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places (Matthew 24:6,7).

We are seeing many conflicts in the world today, and things are just getting worse. A pestilence is a pandemic. I’m sure no one ever thought we would see a day when the whole world would be shut down because of a virus. There have been plagues in the past, but not on the scale of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Jesus also said, And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold (Matthew 24:12). People’s love is waxing cold today, and sin is such a normal way of life that many people don’t even care that they are degrading their bodies or doing other things displeasing to God. People used to try to hide their sins behind closed doors; but now, everything is out in the open for all to see, and the devil loves it.

Jesus Is Coming

This is the final hour, and our mission is to get this Gospel to the world. Do you believe that; or do you just think people have been talking about the Rapture for thousands of years, and it still hasn’t happened? Peter wrote, There shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation (II Peter 3:3,4). Many people think the Rapture will not take place in their day, but I am sure many people didn’t think Jesus was going to be born in their day either; and they missed that great event.

Friend, Jesus is coming soon; but this time, He won’t come all the way to Earth. He will appear in midair on that great Rapture Day, and those who are dead in Christ will rise first. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first (I Thessalonians 4:16). Then those who are blood-washed and Spirit-filled will meet Him in the air and go to live with Him forever.

Be Blood-Washed and Made Whole

The Bible says, Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh (Matthew 24:44). Friend, Jesus is coming very soon. Are you blood-washed and Spirit-filled? If not, let Jesus wash away your sins right now. All you have to do is ask Him into your heart.

Pray with me and say, Oh, God, save my soul. Forgive me for my sins. I have come home to serve you for the rest of my life. Come into my heart, Jesus. Come on in, Jesus. Amen. If you meant that prayer, you now have Jesus Christ in your heart.

Now, it’s time to get a miracle for whatever you need no matter what sicknesses or diseases are in your body. God made you; He can heal you, so let God heal you today. The Bible says, They [believers] shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover (Mark 16:18). I’m a believer; so as we pull down Heaven together, expect God to move for you. Raise your hands right now as a point of contact, and let God move for you today.

Lord, Heavenly Father, you know what the needs of these people are. Break their bondages and set them free in the blood name of Jesus. Heal, in the holy, blood name of Jesus Christ, I pray. We curse every sickness and disease in their bodies. Heal, in the holy, blood name of Jesus. Amen.

Friend, look for every sign of improvement and always give God the praise, the honor and the glory for what He has done for you.

Now, if you want to be ready for Rapture Day, you need to be Spirit-filled. Accepting Jesus into your heart makes you blood-washed, but you still need to receive the Holy Ghost baptism. Holy Ghost power is what will change you in the twinkling of an eye so you can meet Jesus in the air.

Friend, to receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues, all you need to do is start praising the Lord. Just say, “Glory”—one “glory” right after another. As you are saying those glories, let the Holy Spirit come on in, take over your tongue and speak in a heavenly language.
