The book of Daniel tells an account of the king of Persia. He had had a dream, and he wanted to know the meaning of it; but he couldn’t remember it. Daniel was a dedicated servant of the Lord; and through God, he was the only one in the kingdom who was able not only to tell the king his dream but also to tell him the meaning of the dream.

Daniel told the king he had seen a huge image. Each part of that image was made of a different type of metal except the feet—they were made of both iron and clay. Each body part and its metal represented different kingdoms which have now come and gone. Because the feet were made of both iron and clay, they represented a divided kingdom as explained in Daniel: And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken. And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay (Daniel 2:42,43). That divided kingdom is still in the making today.

Iron is very strong, and clay is very weak; and the two of them won’t mix. People today have feet of either iron or clay; which kind do you have?

The Truth Makes the Difference

Paul told us to take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand (Ephesians 6:13). The evil day Paul spoke of is now. If you have feet of iron, you can put on the whole armor of God and stand. If you have feet of clay, that armor won’t work for you; and you will be defeated. So many Christians today have feet of clay, and they compromise with people or the world’s ways instead of standing for the Word of God.

So what is that armor? Paul goes on to tell us, Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God (Ephesians 6:14-17).

Let’s examine this armor. You first must wear the girdle of truth, and you can only do that when you have feet of iron. Jesus said, And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free (John 8:32). Jesus is truth; and He said, I am the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). That truth came to set captives free. The Spirit of the Lord is upon me [Jesus], because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised (Luke 4:18).

When Truth spoke on the streets of Jerusalem and on the shores of Galilee, miracles took place. Before that time, the Bible says truth had fallen in the streets. And judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter (Isaiah 59:14). When Jesus came, truth was walking upright on feet of iron and strength that walked the waters.

Walk God’s Way

Jesus had human feet, but they had the strength of the divine blood. Nothing could keep Him from taking His stand to deliver the Gospel and set the captives free.

Jesus didn’t consider His own life dear. He said, I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine&8230;and I lay down my life for the sheep&8230;that I might take it again. No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again (John 10:14,15,17,18).

Jesus had power over life and death then, and He still has that same power today to make you whole and to deliver you from every bondage. You can be set free by the hand of God no matter where you are in this world.

The cleansing power of the blood will take all the weak clay out of your feet, and the Lord will set them on the narrow, love road that leads to Heaven. Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it (Matthew 7:13,14).

That strait gate is here on Earth, and you can only pass through it to reach the narrow road by being born again. Then only feet of iron can stay on that road.

For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts (Isaiah 55:9). You can only walk those high roads and have those high thoughts when you have feet of iron. The Word is your roadmap; so you must treasure it, live in it and dine on it every day.

The Righteous Do Not Sin

When you have feet of iron, you will be born again and wear the breastplate of righteousness. Then you can stand on the solid rock, Christ Jesus; and truth and righteousness will be yours. With feet of clay, you will be weak and have no godly strength or power from On High working in you; so you will not stand for truth or live in righteousness.

Jesus came to make us the righteousness of God. For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him (II Corinthians 5:21). To be righteous, there can’t be one sin in you.

Jesus never sinned, and He is our example. Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth (I Peter 2:21,22). The Bible also says, The soul that sinneth, it shall die (Ezekiel 18:20). Yet many people and even preachers say everybody sins. Well, that means they are sinning, or they wouldn’t say that.

Seek Divine Peace

Going back to the armor of God, your feet must be shod with the Gospel of peace. That is divine peace, and the world does not understand it because they have feet of clay. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Paul said, Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14).

To have that peace every day, you must receive all of Jesus; but very few Christians ever do that. They may get saved, but they don’t go on to deny themselves and take up their cross and follow Jesus all the way. You have to follow hard after the Lord with feet of iron, not clay; and He will always draw on you to go deeper.

Jesus is at your door every day, and He wants you to let Him in. Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me (Revelation 3:20). If you have feet of clay, you won’t open the door to Jesus. You need feet of divine strength, grace, power, love and faith to be able to let Jesus in, wear His shoes and walk with Him.

Use Divine Faith and Love

When you have feet of iron, you will carry and use the shield of divine faith. That faith moves mountains of sickness, disease, sin, sorrow, heartache, despair, depression, oppression and so much more. That is the faith the Bible describes in Hebrews 11. When you read about all the things faith did in that chapter and then claim that faith as yours, you will be able to stand with feet of iron.

You must have divine love to go with that faith, and that eternal love will draw you closer and closer to Jesus and give you the heartbeat of God. God gave His whole heart and all of His love when Jesus died on the Cross. If people won’t accept that love, the Lord has nothing more to give them.

The love and power in the divine blood will last for eternity; and when you are covered with that blood, nothing can defeat you. However, if you have feet of clay, you will be defeated day after day. Your name may be on a church roster, and you may have been baptized in water. You may even have said the sinner’s prayer; but if you didn’t really mean it, you still walked away with weak feet of clay that won’t keep up with the Word or the holiness of God.

Peter Carried the Wrong Sword

When you have feet of iron, you will carry the sword of the Spirit, the Word of God. That Word is stronger than any powers of the world, and Jesus said it will abide forever. Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away (Luke 21:33). The Word tells you that you can be made new, so you can have feet of iron and stand in truth and divine love.

If you have feet of clay, you may have the sword of the world; but that sword will only cause trouble. Peter had feet of clay and the sword of the world on the night Jesus was arrested in the Garden of Gethsemane. Then Simon Peter having a sword drew it, and smote the high priest’s servant, and cut off his right ear&8230;Then said Jesus unto Peter, Put up thy sword into the sheath: the cup which my Father hath given me, shall I not drink it (John 18:10,11)? Then Jesus, with His divine power and compassion, put that servant’s ear back in place. And he touched his ear, and healed him (Luke 22:51).

Earlier that same night, Jesus had asked Peter, James and John to pray with Him in the garden. Tarry ye here, and watch with me (Matthew 26:38). Jesus went a little further to pray on His own; and about an hour later, he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour (Matthew 26:40)? They could not because they had feet of clay.

Jesus had gone the extra mile for those disciples again and again, yet they couldn’t stay awake and pray with Him for one hour. It is so sad that Jesus had to go through that horrible night all alone.

Be an Overcomer

If you have feet of clay, you won’t stay awake with Jesus in this last hour either because you won’t have the strength you need to pray or to take time with God and His Word like you should. When Adam and Eve sinned, God threw them out of Eden; and they were left with nothing but feet of clay that carried them to the wrong places and a body of clay with no power in it. They had no grace and no overcoming strength.

It takes feet of iron to keep you moving in the right direction and to let no person or devil discourage you. No matter how rugged the road is, you will have all the strength you need to overcome any kind of persecution.

Feet of iron will take you to Calvary and help you know Jesus in all of His sufferings as Paul did. He said, That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings (Philippians 3:10). The old Paul had feet of clay that led him in all the wrong directions; but when he found the power of Christ’s resurrection, he left everything behind and followed Jesus all the way. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new (II Corinthians 5:17).

What kind of feet do you have today? If you have any clay in your feet, you are in trouble. You are not obeying the Lord in everything, and you don’t want His divine will because there are times when you still want your way. When you have feet of iron, you will always want God’s way. He will be the love of your life, and your greatest delight will be standing for Him.

Receive New Feet

If you have feet of clay today, it is time to find the Lord because those feet will not take you to Rapture ground. There is only one flight out, and you will miss it. Say the sinner’s prayer with me right now: Oh, God, save my soul. I am so sorry I sinned against you, but I have come home; and I am going to serve you, Lord, for the rest of my life. I don’t want to have weak feet of clay; I want iron feet, so I can stand for you. I believe the blood of Jesus washes away all of my sins. Come into my heart, Jesus! Come on in!

If you meant that prayer, Jesus is yours. Start praying, studying your Bible and doing some Bible fasting. Use your new feet of iron to walk with Jesus, and He will always be with you. For he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee (Hebrews 13:5).

Receive the Healing Promise

You have the Gospel of deliverance that will set you free, so you can receive a miracle right now. You may have AIDS, leprosy, cancer, diabetes, heart trouble or paralysis; you may be blind or deaf. It doesn’t matter to God because He can heal you of anything.

Lord, I come in the name of Jesus with your miracle, blood power. I come with your miraculous gifts, and I inject miracle, blood power into the bodies of the people today. Heal! in the miracle, blood name of Jesus. Heal! And I thank you, Lord, because I know you are moving, and your power is going forth for the people.
