Are you happy? Do you even know what real happiness is? Unfortunately, many people today don’t know how to be truly happy because real, lasting happiness only comes from Heaven. I was raised in a good, godly home, and I thought I was happy; but I didn’t know the joy of really being happy in the Lord until I found Jesus. When I was born again, I was completely changed; and in Jesus, I found true happiness because He had given me a new life.

When God saved me, I left the whole world behind. I left worldly music, dancing and all of the places I should not have been going to; and I never missed any of it. I wanted to know more and more about Jesus; and my cry was, “Give me Jesus night and day; give me Jesus all the way.” I love to walk hand in hand with Jesus, to know the fellowship of Him and the power of His resurrection. I love knowing what pleases Him, and I love having the joy of dining in His presence and doing whatever He tells me to do.

Live in God’s Divine Will

Happiness is not having houses and lands, money, nice cars or beautiful clothes; happiness is fellowship with Jesus Christ and walking in God’s divine will. In His permissible will, the benefits and blessings you receive will be very small; but in God’s divine will, you will be greatly blessed.

I always want God’s divine will, and I get it not only for myself but for multitudes of people. I always serve people divinity because divinity is what really counts. That is why Jesus took on the fashion of a man and brought to Earth all the divinity we need. But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross (Philippians 2:7,8). All the divinity we need is within our reach, but some people never reach for it; and others reach for it only part of the time.

To walk in the divine will of God, you must have a born-again experience. Then you will walk in truth and have the same baptism in the Holy Ghost that the disciples received on the Day of Pentecost. That is the power that started the Church, and that same great power will end the Church Age because only through that power will the children of God be changed on Rapture Day. Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed (I Corinthians 15:51,52).

Pray God’s Way

Prayer brings happiness; but you must pray according to God’s divine will and know that God hears every one of your prayers just like Jesus did when He said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me. And I knew that thou hearest me always (John 11:41,42). When you come to the end of a prayer, you too should say, “Jesus, you always hear me.” Then He will make intercession to the Father for you, but God answers our prayers only according to His divine will. It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us (Romans 8:34).

When you pray according to God’s divine will, the Holy Spirit will also make intercession for you. The Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God (Romans 8:26,27).

You must always want God’s divine will and never be disappointed in it. When you are truly living in it, you can claim this scripture: And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God [those who have been made holy], to them who are the called according to his purpose (Romans 8:28). “All” things means “everything” when you are walking according to God’s purpose.

Joy in the Lord

Happiness is joy and strength. For the joy of the LORD is your strength (Nehemiah 8:10). The Lord wants you to be happy; and when you walk in step with Jesus, you will walk in love, divinity, faith, joy and gladness. The Bible tells us to rejoice evermore (I Thessalonians 5:16). To rejoice means to be happy, and a child of God should be able to rejoice; but that rejoicing has to come from the heart. Never let the enemy get you down. When depression comes, decide that it is the devil and not God who is trying to make you unhappy.

After the Lord took my wife, Angel, home to be with Him, I thought I would never laugh again and it be for real. We had waited on God to bring us together; and the Lord let us know that He had marked us in our mothers’ wombs for each other. We never doubted that we were made for one another; so when the Lord took her home, I was dead inside. I never expected God to take my little lamb; I thought we would be together until the Rapture took place, but that was not God’s will.

Today, the Lord has made me to laugh again, and I am so happy. I am contented with the Lord because I know I am in His divine will. I know He took Angel at the exact time He had planned to; and He told me, “By me taking her when I did, she will win more souls for the Kingdom than if I had left her with you.”

Happiness is getting a true, godly helpmate, so you must let God choose your mate. Angel and I wanted God’s divine will for our lives, so we waited on God. Our homes were over 600 miles apart; but in due season, the Lord brought us together, and that is why I found happiness beyond compare in Angel. I had never met a human being like her, and our spirits blended together so well.

During the twenty-seven years of our marriage, we never argued. If we had, we could not have helped the multitudes we did or won so many souls. You must not argue in your marriage or even with other people, or you will not make the one flight out. It takes two to argue; so if your mate argues, never argue back.

If you refuse to argue when somebody wants you to, you will win. The person may get mad at you, but you do not want to be the one who is left behind. I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left. Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left (Luke 17:34-36). Jesus does not want us to argue; He wants us to be patient and longsuffering like He was when He was here.

You Must Bear Fruit

Joy is one of the fruits of the Spirit. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance (Galatians 5:22,23). The divine fruits are produced by the Holy Ghost through the blood on the inside of your soul. The fruit of love brings the fruit of joy; and divine love will make you happy and keep you happy. Love will also help you to live by faith. The just shall live by faith (Galatians 3:11).

If you do not have the fruit of divine peace, you can have it by yielding to the Holy Ghost. Then He will also bring you the fruit of longsuffering, which is patience; and that means you never grumble, complain or show a grouchy spirit. Bad things will happen in this life, but you cannot blame God for them.

The Bible says, Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning (James 1:17). Heaven sends down only good and perfect gifts for children of God, and the Lord said we are not to forget those benefits. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases (Psalm 103:2,3).

You have to learn to be patient and to wait upon the Lord. They that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint (Isaiah 40:31). Some of you will make your own decisions and get into trouble. Then you say you want the will of God, but it is a bad time to want God’s will when you are already in trouble. I wanted the will of God for my life from the moment He saved me, and I stayed in His presence night and day until I found it. I knew without a doubt that His will was for me to preach and teach His Gospel.

Meekness is the divine fruit that makes you humble and forgiving, and the fruit of temperance helps you to keep self under control. You cannot just receive the Spirit and then forget about Him; you have to yield to Him day and night. He is yours, and He will bring you all the fruits of the Spirit.

Delight in the Lord

Happiness is delighting yourself in the Lord, and I am so happy because I delight in the things of God. Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart (Psalm 37:4). “To delight” means “to take pleasure in or to give keen enjoyment or great satisfaction.” To delight yourself in the Lord is to desire Him. It means that you have His fellowship, His love, His presence, His grace, His truth, His joy, His peace and His power.

And I will delight myself in thy commandments, which I have loved (Psalm 119:47). Do you truly love the ways of the Lord? I love everything He brought for us—the nine fruits of the Spirit, the nine gifts of the Holy Ghost, the divine power of God found in the Gospels and divine miracles. Jesus left all of that greatness here for us to use.

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night (Psalm 1:1,2). If you will meditate more on the things of God than on the things of man, you won’t have nightmares and sleepless nights. You will be happy in Jesus when you reach out for all of the divinity that He has made available to you.

You must delight and be happy in the Lord, in His love commandments and in the divinity and the blood Jesus brought. That blood gives us power to trample devils underfoot. Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you (Luke 10:19).

Love to Follow God’s Ways

I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word (Psalm 119:16). When we do those things, we will be all right; and we will be happy because the devil won’t be able to bother us.

I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart (Psalm 40:8). God’s children are delighted in Him because we have proved Him again and again and have found no fault in Him. His Gospel is in our hearts with all of its divinity, love and grace; and we are taking that message to the whole world.

To carry that message, you have to honor God. The Bible says you have to honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words (Isaiah 58:13). You are not honoring God by going your own ways; you have to leave them all behind. God loves to take His children His way, but everything has to be done His way.

Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it (Isaiah 58:14). When you walk in God’s divine will, you can expect this.

When we delight in and are happy in the Lord, He will delight in us. He brought me forth also into a large place; he delivered me, because he delighted in me (Psalm 18:19). The Lord has brought His children into a large place, too. They are not only saved, living holy and walking like Jesus, they also have the third person in the Trinity of the Godhead available to them; and they must receive the Spirit’s tongue of fire.

Yield to the Holy Ghost

Happiness is being full of the Holy Ghost. Did you ever see anybody get truly saved or receive the real Holy Ghost baptism who didn’t look happy? When I received the Holy Ghost, I didn’t care whether I went to bed that night or not. I wanted to tell the whole world about it; and now, that is what I am doing.

The Holy Ghost is to be your teacher, and you must be full of Him so He can direct you and bring souls to you. But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you (John 14:26).

The Holy Ghost will be your guide. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come (John 16:13).

Jesus told the disciples that it was necessary for Him to go away or the Holy Ghost would not be sent to them. Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you (John 16:7).

Christ wants all people to be filled with the Holy Ghost, and He said He would give the Holy Ghost to all who obey Him. And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him (Acts 5:32).

Then Jesus said that the Comforter would dwell on the inside of us. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you (John 14:16,17). When the Comforter dwells inside of you, He will speak. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance (Acts 2:4).

Whenever you feel confused in your mind, let the Holy Ghost clear it up. Confusion comes from the devil, but happiness and truth will get rid of all the confusion the devil brings to you; so don’t accept any of it. The Bible says the Lord has nothing to do with confusion. For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints (I Corinthians 14:33).

Jesus came because the world was in confusion; and He said, And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free (John 8:32). We are not to be of the world but rather just pilgrims and strangers passing through it. We can have God’s divine knowledge of this hour, so we should not live in confusion.

To have a clear mind is to have the mind of Jesus. Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus (Philippians 2:5). To have the mind of Christ, you must have the Holy Ghost; so you must tarry and seek until you receive Him. Then you must use the mind of Christ, but you can only do that through the Holy Ghost.

The Spirit Reveals the Word

Never say you can’t understand the Word. Instead, yield yourself to the Holy Spirit and let Him take you over because He is there to help you and give you understanding. When you study the Word, He will give you revelations of it; and the Lord will also be there to help you understand it.

If you have a question about something in the Bible, you should go to the place where it is first mentioned because it will almost always shed more light on the subject. The reason some people don’t understand the Word is because they read it just like they would read a newspaper or a magazine, and that won’t work. The Bible says, Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth (II Timothy 2:15).

We can learn everything we need in this life from the Word of the living God. I keep my life in the Word; it is my protection, and the Word will be your protection, too. Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee (Psalm 119:11).

Happiness is trusting in the Word of God, the truth; and that Word was given with power. And they were astonished at his [Jesus’] doctrine: for his word was with power (Luke 4:32). The Word will endure forever. But the word of the Lord endureth forever (I Peter 1:25).

Blasphemy Is Death

People who make fun of the Holy Spirit of God and the tongue of fire will never see Heaven unless they change. When Jesus was here, He said that people who do that will blaspheme against the Holy Ghost and end up in eternity without God. Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speak-eth against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come (Matthew 12:31,32). Today, even many preachers have blasphemed against the Holy Ghost by talking against the tongue of the Spirit and the miracles of God.

Blaspheming against the Holy Ghost was never uncovered in Old Testament days, but people did blaspheme; and they were killed for it. When Saul, the first king of the Children of Israel, was crowned king, he had so many things in his favor; but he let ego lift him up.

Saul eventually failed so completely that he could not make contact with God and sought the help of a witch. And when Saul saw the host of the Philistines, he was afraid, and his heart greatly trembled. And when Saul inquired of the LORD, the LORD answered him not, neither by dreams, nor by Urim, nor by prophets. Then said Saul unto his servants, Seek me a woman that hath a familiar spirit [a witch], that I may go to her, and inquire of her (I Samuel 28:5-7).

Later, Saul used his own sword to take his life when he was being pursued by the Philistines. And the Philistines followed hard upon Saul and upon his sons; and the Philistines slew Jonathan, and Abinadab, and Melchishua, Saul’s sons. And the battle went sore against Saul, and the archers hit him; and he was sore wounded of the archers. Then said Saul unto his armour-bearer, Draw thy sword, and thrust me through therewith; lest these uncircumcised come and thrust me through, and abuse me. But his armour-bearer would not; for he was sore afraid. Therefore Saul took a sword, and fell upon it (I Samuel 31:2-4). Saul blasphemed and committed suicide.

When Jesus came, He brought salvation for all; and He said, Let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely (Revelation 22:17). I am a happy preacher, and I never doubt my salvation; and if you want to be happy, you can’t doubt your salvation either. He that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him (Hebrews 11:6). You can never doubt God.

No Sin in Heaven

There was a Calvary; and because of that, we must be born again. Nevertheless, people will join a church, get baptized in water and think they are going to Heaven; but Jesus said, Ye must be born again (John 3:7). If water could wash away sins, Jesus never would have had to leave the throne of God; but He did, and He became poor to make us rich. For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich (II Corinthians 8:9). We are rich in divinity, the things of God.

Jesus went to Calvary to make it possible for us to have a passport to Heaven, but you first have to come out of darkness because the Lord will not accept sin. He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil (I John 3:8).

The first place God found sin was in Heaven, and He had to cleanse it. Lucifer was the most beautiful angel in Heaven; but when he and some of the other angels fell into sin, the Lord cast them out. God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment (II Peter 2:4).

The book of Revelation plainly tells us who will be left outside the gates of Heaven. Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie (Revelation 22:14,15).

God means what He says, and the Great White Throne Judgment is coming—a day when all the crimes and sins of the unrighteous will be told to them. And I [John the Revelator] saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works (Revelation 20:11,12). At that time, people will be so ashamed of themselves; and they won’t be able to look upon the face of God. Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14).

Churches Have No Truth

Many people today do not live holy lives, and they go to dead churches where ministers teach that everybody sins. It is true that every sinner sins, but God’s people do not commit willful sin. Why would Jesus set us free and then not give us power to stay out of sin? The Lord said, Come now, and let us reason together (Isaiah 1:18). We must reason with God rather than people.

Most churches today have no zeal for souls, and they don’t preach the truth about the blood. Some of them have even removed their altars while others no longer use them. The preachers are dead and have no happiness, so there is no happiness in the pews.

If you are going to a dead church today where souls are not being saved, you are in the wrong place. If people are not receiving the baptism of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit takes over and gives the tongue of fire, you are in the wrong church.

Happiness is being where the Lord wants you to be, and He wants you to be in a church that believes in the whole Bible and teaches the whole truth. I always speak the truth to my congregation, and I speak it in love; and the members of my church hunger and thirst for all of God they can get. Unfortunately, there are some people who grumble about the services being too long; but if they continue to do that, they will eventually backslide because that attitude is against God.

In Troas, the Apostle Paul preached all night; and while he was talking, a man fell from the third loft and died. And there sat in a window a certain young man named Eutychus, being fallen into a deep sleep: and as Paul was long preaching, he sunk down with sleep, and fell down from the third loft, and was taken up dead (Acts 20:9). However, that didn’t stop Paul. Paul went down, and fell on him, and embracing him said, Trouble not yourselves; for his life is in him. When he therefore was come up again, and had broken bread, and eaten, and talked a long while, even till break of day, so he departed. And they brought the young man alive, and were not a little comforted (Acts 20:10-12).

Today, many churches no longer believe in the Virgin Birth, but those people will not go to Heaven because no one can get into Heaven without Jesus. If Jesus had not been born of a virgin and been a child of the Holy Ghost, He could not have become our Savior and our passport to Heaven; but people today have made their own Jesus, and they don’t believe in the divine blood. How sad. You need to find a church or some other place where you can receive the whole truth, even if it is just a family altar in your home.

Have a Heart of Love

You must take time to be kind to others and to show them love. When you have divine gentleness and goodness, you will show others great mercy and thoughtfulness; and you will want to help them. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another (John 13:35). When you have divine love, you will have real life, Heaven’s life.

Divine love will make you want to intercede for others in prayer; and when you get in the habit of praying for people, God will bring your brothers and sisters in Christ, your neighbors and even sinners to your mind. He will wake you up at night to pray for a lost soul who is about to drop into hell, a child of God who has a desperate need or someone who is being tortured by the devil; so don’t just go back to sleep. You must pray until you are relieved of the burden, and then you can go back to sleep.

You must never judge or criticize your brothers and sisters in Christ; instead, you must want to see the good in people. You have to be upright and speak the heavenly language, words of wisdom from On High. The Bible says, For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ (Philippians 3:20). That heavenly conversation is a language of love. When I don’t know what to say to someone, I stop and ask myself, “What would Jesus say?” The Lord has never failed in all these years to let me know what Jesus would say.

I live close to God, and He will let me look into the hearts of people. That is why I know that some people talk one way but think another way in their hearts. They will think things in their hearts that are not true without even realizing it because they have let the enemy deceive them.

We must have a heart that beats in rhythm with the hearts of the Almighty God, Jesus and the Holy Ghost. God created man and woman in perfection and gave them a heart that beat in rhythm with His heart so He could walk and talk with them. Adam and Eve had nothing but perfect peace, and they were so happy until Eve listened to the devil.

God had warned them that they would die if they ate fruit from the tree of evil, but the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat (Genesis 3:4-6).

When you listen to the devil, you are in big trouble. You may think you are smarter than he is, but you are not. The only way you can overcome him is to use the blood of Jesus. Even when the devil disputed with Michael, the archangel, over the burial of Moses, Michael said, The Lord rebuke thee (Jude 1:9). Notice that he didn’t rebuke the devil himself; he said, “The Lord rebuke you.”

Be God’s Light

Happiness is knowing that God keeps His promises. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance (II Peter 3:9). Your future is as bright as the promises of God, and that is why you must know His promises. You must also know that every promise has a condition, and you must meet those conditions. For example, the Bible says, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (I John 1:9). The condition in that verse is that you have to be as sorry that you committed those sins as God is that you committed them. Then you will be forgiven.

God never breaks His promises to us, so we must never break our promises to Him because it is dangerous to do that. The Lord said that if you keep His promises, you can ask what you will. If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you (John 15:7). That means that whatever the Holy Ghost gives you is the will of the Lord; and when you walk hand in hand with Jesus, you will want nothing but His perfect will.

Children of God who are living in God’s will are to be the salt of the Earth. Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men (Matthew 5:13). You have to be happy to be the Lord’s salt and to be a light to the world. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven (Matthew 5:16). You cannot be a light to the world unless you are a light of shining happiness from Heaven, and that is the only kind of light the Lord serves His people.

When people are really happy, they light up. That is why God’s children have to be happy. People want joy, and they must see it in us because they will not find it in the things they are reaching for. They have no happiness in their marriages, in their homes or in their churches. In fact, many people feel worse after going to church than they did before they went. Why?—because happiness is winning souls, and many churches are not interested in doing that. I am a soul winner. I have given my life for souls, and I plan to continue doing that until Jesus comes.

Persecution Makes You

The Apostle Paul endured much suffering and persecution, and the Lord has used all that Paul went through to keep me going no matter how much I am persecuted. I let persecution draw me closer to God; and you should too because the Bible says, Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven (Matthew 5:10).

You can be happy even when you are fighting the devil if you have on the whole armor of God found in Ephesians 6:11-17; so when persecutions come, just rejoice and go on. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you (Matthew 5:12). I turn my enemies over to God because He said, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord (Romans 12:19).

You need to stay away from people who criticize your Christ and the Holy Ghost. Some of your enemies may be in your own family, but turn them over to God and don’t let them hinder you. Jesus said He came to divide. Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household (Matthew 10:34-36).

We will have persecution, but the Lord said He would not allow us to be tempted above what we are able to bear. There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it (I Corinthians 10:13). When I get to the place where a trial seems unbearable, sometimes I will look up and say, “Jesus, I am ready to get out of here; I have taken as much as I can.” But when He does not answer me, I settle down and say, “Lord, I can take some more.” The Lord will never send you into a valley that He has not already been in. That is why He is the Lily of all our valleys. I am the rose of Sharon, and the lily of the valleys (Song of Solomon 2:1).

Jesus Will Come

The Lord told me that happiness is looking for Jesus to come. Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching (Luke 12:37). Children of God are expecting Him to come any day, so they act like it and talk about it; but those who are of this old world are not thinking about the coming of the Lord, and Jesus said it would be that way. For in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh (Matthew 24:44).

Are you looking for Jesus to come? Read about the end-time signs in the Bible, and you will see that they are all around us now. That is why we are getting ready to take our flight, and that should gladden your heart and make you happy.

People mock us because we are looking for Jesus to come, and even many preachers now claim the Rapture will not take place; but that does not mean it will never happen. The people in Noah’s day heard about the Flood for years, but they did not believe it would happen. However, they changed their minds when the Flood came, but then it was too late; and all but eight souls perished. And every living substance was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground, both man, and cattle, and the creeping things, and the fowl of the heaven; and they were destroyed from the earth: and Noah only remained alive, and they that were with him in the ark (Genesis 7:23).

The Bible says, It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God (Hebrews 10:31). If you live pure, clean and holy, you will know you are on your way to Heaven; and it will become a real place to you, one where there is no sorrow or heartache. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away (Revelation 21:4). There will be no tears in that city.

Jesus Brought Peace

Happiness is having peace that passeth all understanding. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

I never let the devil rob me of God’s peace. People will ask me how I can take so much persecution, and I tell them it is because I unload it on Jesus. He said, Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls (Matthew 11:28,29).

When you can’t sleep, count your blessings instead of your troubles. Then you will fall asleep long before you have time to count any of your troubles, and you will wake up to a new day ordained by Heaven that you can use to do more work for Jesus. When I come to the end of a day, I want to know if I have pleased the Lord. If I have, then I call that a perfect day.

We have everything we need to please God, so it is time for us to wake up and be about our Father’s business. The Bible says, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil (Ephesians 5:16). Christ realized that He had a limited time to work, and He willingly suffered all things so that we could be free and go to Heaven; but until we go, we must be living, walking epistles for Christ. Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men: Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart (II Corinthians 3:2,3).

Don’t spend your time trying to convince people that you are saved, baptized in the Holy Ghost and living in God’s will. You don’t have to prove anything to man or the devil; the Lord knows the ones who belong to Him. The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity (II Timothy 2:19). When we are washed in the blood and set free, then it is the blood that keeps us free.

Do you really have the joy and peace of salvation? If so, then get off your little raft and don’t be afraid of life’s storms because Jesus serves us the same divinity He used to walk the waters. And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea. And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear. But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid. And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus (Matthew 14:25-29). You must learn to face the storms of life while the sun is still shining by looking to God in prayers, fastings and living in His Word.

I don’t walk in fear when the storms come, and I don’t dread my tomorrows because I know I can walk the waters with Jesus. I know He will stand with His children because He said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee (Hebrews 13:5).

Prayer and Fasting

Jesus said, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting (Mark 9:29). When Jesus’ disciples asked Him why they could not deliver a young boy who had what we would call epilepsy, He answered, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting (Matthew 17:20,21).

Jesus’ disciples did not fast at that time; but when Jesus was questioned about it, He said they would fast after He was gone. Then came to him [Jesus] the disciples of John, saying, Why do we and the Pharisees fast oft, but thy disciples fast not? And Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bridechamber mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? but the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken from them, and then shall they fast (Matthew 9:14,15).

The disciples knew about prayer, but they failed Jesus in His hour of great need. Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane, and saith unto the disciples, Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder. And he took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and very heavy. Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me. And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt. And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour? Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak (Matthew 26:36-41).

If you are falling asleep on Jesus and not praying like you should, you are failing Him when He needs you the most; and He needs you now even more than He needed the disciples when He was here on Earth. He needs you to evangelize the world because your life is the only Bible that many people will ever read. It is not what you preach that affects people but the way you live before them.

Never Doubt God

Happiness is trusting God. Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths (Proverbs 3:5,6). You have to use your faith to be able to trust God, and the Bible says that God gives everyone a measure of faith. God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith (Romans 12:3). But you have to use that faith or it will never increase.

How many measures of faith do you have? The Bible says we are to contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints (Jude 1:3). I claimed that promise, and I sought for the faith of those saints; and I thank God that He gave it to me. You will find that faith in Hebrews 11, the faith chapter; but there is no need for you to contend for that kind of faith unless you really believe in and trust God. If you have one speck of doubt, you will be in trouble.

Happiness is not doubting God but believing Him and keeping His commandments. Jesus said, If ye love me, keep my commandments (John 14:15). God’s commandments for us today are love commandments because we are no longer under the Old Testament Law which was very cruel. Jesus said that He came to fulfill the Law. Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil (Matthew 5:17).

You will delight in keeping the Lord’s love commandments when you are in love with Him. Jesus said, If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love (John 15:10).

Never let anybody make you doubt God and His love, and stay away from anybody who talks doubt. If you meet people who talk that way or they call you on the telephone, just tell them you have to go…and you do because you don’t want to hear any doubt. You could also say, “Tell me something about Jesus; but if you don’t have anything to say about Him, then I don’t have time to talk to you.” Don’t worry about insulting them because they have the spirit of the devil, and it is good to insult his spirit.

God Will Supply

God promised to supply all of our needs. But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). If your needs are not being supplied, you need to find out why. If you do not tithe, the Bible says you are robbing God. Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings (Malachi 3:8).

The Lord told me years ago that I was to teach people to tithe and give to God; and then He would prosper them physically, spiritually and financially. The Bible says that if you don’t tithe and give to God, you are like a man trying to fill a sack with holes in it. Now therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways. Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes (Haggai 1:5,6).

People who don’t tithe may wonder why they are not getting anywhere; but how do they expect to be without spot, wrinkle or blemish when they are robbing God? You may think you are too poor to tithe, but have you ever wondered why you are so poor? The Lord said that a dime out of each dollar belongs to Him. The tenth shall be holy unto the LORD (Leviticus 27:32).

Live in God’s Grace

Happiness is having the grace of God. But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) (Ephesians 2:4,5). God’s grace is sufficient for everything we need for this whole journey. And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness (II Corinthians 12:9).

With that grace, you can go before God with the right attitude; and He will make you sit in a heavenly place with Him. And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 2:6) You will have to climb up to that heavenly place, but the Lord wants each member of the bridal company to live there.

We are so blessed to have all of God’s blessings, His rainbow of promises and the very Son of God as our high priest, the One who paid the price for us to be happy; but are you really happy in the Lord today? I don’t depend on the things around me to make me happy; I look to Jesus. I depend on His grace, on His divine blood, on the nine, beautiful fruits of the Holy Spirit, on His signs and the wonders and on the power of God. That power saves souls, and I would not want to live any longer if I could not win souls. It is food for my soul to do the will of the Lord and to bring the lost to Him—those things are what I live for.

We have to finish our work for the Lord, and then we can go to Heaven. Jesus finished His work for us, and He showed us how to finish ours, too. He brought all the power we need, and He left it within our reach.

The Bible says, He that winneth souls is wise (Proverbs 11:30). Every time we go to the mission field, God gives us thousands of souls. People are saved, healed and baptized in the Holy Ghost; and the Lord will number them for me. When you are winning the lost at any cost, you should be so happy.

Happiness Is Salvation

Sinner, I want you to get saved through this message. If you are unhappy and having all kinds of trouble, come to Jesus. Then you will not need drugs, alcohol or anything else the world has to offer because when you find Jesus, you will find pure, eternal joy. Say this prayer right now: Oh, God, I am lost. I am struggling in the dark, but I can now see the light shining upon my path; and I am coming to you, Lord. I am coming to Calvary and confessing all of my sins with godly sorrow, and I believe the blood of Jesus cleanses me from all sin. Come into my heart, Jesus. Come on in! If you meant that prayer, He is yours; and now you can say, Hallelujah, Jesus is mine!

Healing Can Be Yours

Now, you are ready for a miracle. Jesus went to the whipping post where cruel men nearly beat Him to death, but He spilled His blood for you and me; and with His blood stripes, we have physical healing. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). It is hard to tell how many millions of people have been healed of all kinds of sicknesses and diseases through this ministry. Thousands have been healed of AIDS, and we are documenting the cases; but I am not the healer—I am just God’s believer. The Bible says, And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up (James 5:15).

I have no ego about how God uses me; and I always give Him all the praise for every miracle, every healing and every sign and wonder. I never talk about what I have done but about what the Lord has done; and He reminds me again and again that when Jesus was on Earth, He healed the people He prayed for of everything—He made them whole all over.

Although I am in my nineties, I am young in the Lord by the grace of God; and you can be young, too. The Bible says, Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s (Psalm 103:5). I claim that promise; do you?

Lord, here they are. You told me you would heal people, and you have healed untold multitudes of them down through the years. Only eternity will tell the story. Heal these people today of AIDS, cancer, diabetes, heart trouble, lung trouble and all diseases that man cannot cure. Re-create kidneys that have been destroyed and skin that has been eaten up with leprosy. Heal! in the holy name of the Lord! Heal! in the all-powerful name of Jesus! And, Lord, renew their youth just as you renewed mine. In the name of Jesus I pray, and amen.

Write and tell me what happened to you today, and I will rejoice with you. I have a great army of prayer warriors who help me pray over all of the requests we receive; so you can mail, call in or email us your request at any time. God hears our prayers, and we believe Him.

Now, as we bind ourselves together through love and grace, we will find great joy and happiness. Remember, the joy of the Lord is your strength (Nehemiah 8:10).
