Behold, I shew you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye (I Corinthians 15:51,52). This great verse speaks of the Rapture, the second coming of Jesus when He will gather home all His children who are saved, baptized in the Holy Spirit and living for Him. Deliverance for the children of God will come quickly. Why pine about the furnace of affliction, the den of lions or the deepness of the valley when in a twinkling of an eye they will vanish? The change that is coming will take place instantly; in a twinkling of an eye it will be over. When you see a loved one die, a child of God who means more to you than your own heart, you want to die, also. But suddenly you, too, will be changed, caught up to meet the Lord, and that loved one will be there waiting for you. In this final walk, look to the promise of the blessed hope to give you strength; in a twinkling of an eye, troubles will be left behind, tears wiped away. There will be those in untold agony, those suffering with cancer, bound with fear and torment, who in a twinkling of an eye will be delivered.

God Has Power to Change Things

As you think upon the things that will happen in a twinkling of an eye, open your mind to see the might and the greatness of God. See the power God has to change things, not only at the time of the Rapture, but in each and every moment leading up to that great event. God has power to change people and circumstances. Just as God has the power to gather up His children at the appointed time, He has the power to change things for you right now. In the twinkling of an eye, He can heal your body; in a twinkling of an eye, those cancer spirits can be gone, cataracts dissolved, spines straightened. In a twinkling of an eye, the doctor’s report will have to be changed. In a twinkling of an eye, God moves and does wonderful things; He is showing us His greatness today. God wants you to be conditioned for His swift hand to move for you and your work for God in this your final hour.

We are in our final walk, and the devil will try to discourage you in every way possible, try to make you doubt God and the reality of the Rapture. He will try to convince you that Jesus is not coming in our day and that it is impossible for you to be changed in a moment, in a twinkling of an eye. When you read your Bible, keep in mind the phrase, “in a twinkling of an eye.” Go back through the Scriptures to the things God did so quickly. Man is the one who is slow in moving, not God. Man has relied on his own abilities until he no longer has a clear concept of the real power of God. He has placed God under the limits of man’s power rather than placing man under God’s limitless power.

Eyes of Faith

In this final hour we must clearly distinguish between the things man can do and the things God will do. Look upon God in all of His greatness; see Him able to move for you the way Noah, Daniel and all the great people in the Bible saw Him. See Him through the eyes of the prophets of old and the Early Church apostles; see Him with eyes of faith. God is a faith God and only with eyes of faith can you find Him; eyes of faith will find Him every time. Although doubt, discouragement and fear bring shadows which hide Him from your sight, He is still there. Eyes of faith penetrate all the shadows. Jesus promised never to leave you or forsake you, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world (Matthew 28:20). Jesus has promised to be with you—believe Him. Why search for something you already have? If Jesus is in your heart then you have Him; what you must do now is learn to reach out to Him knowing He is with you. Some are always reaching for the Lord and never quite touching Him; it’s like a nightmare for them. It need not be like that. The Lord has put Himself within your reach; you can have all of Him. He has promised you His fellowship, His love and greatness; He has told you that you are bone of His bone and flesh of His flesh. How could you be closer to anyone than to Him? How could you be a part of anyone more than you are a part of Jesus? God planned it that way. He invited you to come unto the Throne of Grace with boldness; you have been told that He hears every word that you speak, that Jesus is at the right hand of the Father making intercession for you. With all those marvelous promises, why would you allow the devil to defeat you? In a twinkling of an eye, God’s greatness can move for you; in a twinkling of an eye, things can be completely changed. With eyes of faith claim the promises of God.

A New Dimension of the Spirit

In a twinkling of an eye, the Holy Ghost descended on those awaiting Him in the Upper Room. It must have seemed He would never come, but in a twinkling of an eye He was on His way; in a twinkling of an eye He had baptized about one hundred and twenty people. Some of those people were to go forth and change the known world of that day because, in a twinkling of an eye, the greatness of God had come upon them and they took on a new mind, a new outlook, a new strength and greatness of the Lord. They entered a dimension of the Spirit they had not known existed. In a twinkling of an eye, Simon became a mighty giant for the Lord; he was changed as the Holy Ghost descended upon him.

In a twinkling of an eye, a man called Saul was struck down into the dust of the earth, blinded. Then he was led to Damascus where, through the greatness of the Lord, Ananias was sent to pray for him. Saul received his sight and was baptized in the Holy Ghost; suddenly his whole life had been turned completely around.

In the past, this stay on earth has been a long night of searching; but the hour has come, not to search for, but to receive Jesus, to partake of Him so that you can serve Him to others. You cannot serve that which you do not have. The Early Church served Jesus; He was their song, their very life. Suddenly they knew that God had come down and walked the earth, that they had seen God heal the sick, that they had sat at the table and eaten with God. Suddenly they knew that the hand of God had been upon them, that the God of all mankind had descended from Heaven in the form of His Son, Jesus, and that He had died on the cross for them. They had touched divinity. Jesus must be just that real to you today; He is the same now as He was then.

Condition Your Mind for God’s Greatness

In this great hour in which we live, much will happen in a twinkling of an eye. Again and again the mantle of the Lord will fall upon many. In a twinkling of an eye, masses will come to the Lord, hundreds of thousands will be baptized in the Holy Ghost as the Holy Spirit sweeps down in great gatherings, saith the Lord. The Spirit of God will move in an unbelievable way and our minds must be conditioned for it; we must be ready for it, reaching out to God to know Him, to know the things of God and that all things are possible through Him. We must be reaching out to Him to know our way, to know that He is with us and that His love is upon us. He is counting upon us to know that we will never fail. Hear His voice; listen to Him daily so that you will not live in fear and despair, so that you will not talk sickness but talk health. Talk joy instead of despair as you see Him, and behold His moving with great force.

He will move in wonderfully marvelous ways the earth has never before witnessed. The earth and the heavens will shake with His greatness—the Bible declares it. His love and power will flow out like rivers until they become one mighty sea of the greatness of God. The devil will not have a chance unless we give him one. Unless you give him a place to land, he’ll have nothing to hold on to—he’ll be helpless. Neither give place to the devil (Ephesians 4:27). You cannot afford to give even an inch of territory to him. The territory you possess must have Calvary written all over it, and must be hedged in by Pentecostal power from On High. The Pentecostal fire is falling today; let it burn on the inside and blaze out to touch all with whom you come in contact. Arise and be about your Father’s business; work with the greatness of God upon you.

Revelations of God

In a twinkling of an eye, God is touching alcoholics, devil possessed people; and they are being delivered, set free. In a twinkling of an eye, the devils are coming out. It is very possible that in a twinkling of an eye multitudes at one time will see angels. In the Old Testament are types and shadows of living realities yet to come. I see a man surrounded by the enemy and hear his servant crying, “What are we going to do, what are we going to do!” The servant’s eyes are on the host of men come for the express purpose of killing his master, Elisha. The servant of God, however, is looking at angels. Fear not, he said, for they that be with us are more than they that be with them. And Elisha prayed, and said, Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha (II Kings 6:16,17).

In a twinkling of an eye, the Lord is going to give great revelations in mighty ways. He has brought many of His children a long, long way through valleys and dark places, but the time is so short now that we no longer have years to search for and to seek out the Lord. In a twinkling of an eye, Lucifer must be uncovered. In a twinkling of an eye, God will reveal many things both good and bad. In a twinkling of an eye, God is going to shake millions of people by His mighty power. There will be earthquakes of power, saith the Lord, in this final hour. The glory of the Lord will come down; the presence of God will be felt and seen. The hand of the Lord will be upon many, and they will declare His greatness. The Spirit of the Lord will come upon many, and they will know the mind of God and what God is doing for planet Earth. They will know the hour in which they live, and the cry will go up through our whole earth that the redemption of the Lord draweth nigh.

Every moment brings us one moment closer to that blessed event when our bodies will be changed so that we can leave here. But, in the meantime, in the twinkling of an eye, the power of God is moving. Get ready for His greatness to move, for His love to be poured out: in a twinkling of an eye He will pour Himself out to literally multitudes, healing and delivering them. In a twinkling of an eye, we have seen Him bring many out of wheel chairs in the crusades; but it is nothing compared to what we are going to see. In a twinkling of an eye, multitudes will be baptized in the Holy Ghost; tabernacles of clay will be filled with the Holy Spirit throughout the whole earth. During the telecast there will be literally multitudes at one time who will receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost, saith the Lord. The Holy Spirit is going to flow greater and greater; we have entered into His greatness, into His holy power. There will be no stopping His obedient children. “Take the whole world but give me Jesus! Give me the light of God and I will go into any dark corner,” must be the heart’s cry of every child of God in this final hour. We will rise up in the greatness of God, and the Holy Spirit will crown us with the glory and the strength of our God. The presence of the Lord will be ours, and we will walk with Him forgetting about the juniper tree, the discouraging moments and the powers of darkness as our eyes behold the glory of the Lord and the hand of God.

Jesus Prepared Us for This Hour

With the eyes of faith, like unto David going forth to slay Goliath, we will see. There will be no fear or reluctance as we are willing to do whatever God wants—to live or die, to battle for Him—because we know the victory will be given us: God has promised. There is no lasting defeat ahead, although it may not seem so in the eyes of the world. The real children of God will be overcomers as Christ was an overcomer. Jesus came preparing us for this hour, setting the pace, showing us how to live with and talk to God. Now, on a large scale, mankind on planet Earth is being shown how to walk with God. In Old Testament days just a few people were close to God, but now in this final hour He must have the millions and they are being made ready.

Do not fail to do His whole will as taught by the Word of God. People are ready to be won if only we can reach them. He has anointed their ears to hear, their eyes to see and their hearts to receive. He told us He would do it, and we have found it to be that way. The nations are waiting; their cry has gone up before the Lord; it is God’s hour. Since this is God’s hour, it is also our hour. No longer are we almost persuaded; we are altogether persuaded that we will not turn back from God now. Nothing can stop us, not doubt, fear or frustration; but it’s ever onward as we seek to rescue the lost before they are spewed into the Tribulation Period.

In a twinkling of an eye, those who do not go with God all the way will be out of reach forever; harvest time will be over. In a twinkling of an eye, we’ll be taken from the harvest field. We do not know when we will go. We just know the season and that our going will be sudden. There is no time to lose; we must work harder than ever. When you awaken at night, pray, “God, give us souls!”

Recognize God’s Hand in Action

Do all you can do about your problems, and that which you cannot do, put into the hands of the Lord. Perhaps your work for God has been hindered because the devil battled your mind to the extent that you looked to him instead of looking over his head to the deliverance of God. In a twinkling of an eye, all your cares of this world will be over when Jesus gathers you to Him at the Rapture. In a twinkling of an eye, He will come. In a twinkling of an eye, the things of this world will be closed out of your life forever, In a twinkling of an eye, the greatest event since the Crucifixion and Resurrection of Jesus will take place. Until that glorious catching away hour happens, prepare for God to move in ever increasingly greater ways. In a twinkling of an eye, His miraculous power will fall. You must not doubt God when He moves. Learn to recognize His hand in action, and move closer to that hand each day knowing that this is your hour.

When the Lord is with you, you cannot be defeated; you have nothing to fear, nothing to worry about. Let the Spirit of God come upon you as you take on the anointing of God. Clean out the attic, and kill all the spiders. Christians down through the years have spent much time removing the spider webs, but they never quite killed all the spiders. Cleaning out the spider webs became an endless process, but the time has come when we must deal with the cause of the problems rather than just the results.

Carrying a lot of self means you cannot carry much of God, and God must be foremost in all things. Empty of self and be filled with God as you continue to press into His greatness. Soon those hands that have worked for Him will be changed and no longer will it matter how many times you skinned your knuckles in the process or how tired they are. Suddenly they will be new hands; suddenly it will be a whole new body; suddenly it will happen in the twinkling of an eye. Why should you doubt?

Responsibility Placed On God’s Children

In a twinkling of an eye, Moses raised his rod and the waters began to separate; the children of Israel walked across on dry land to safety. In a twinkling of an eye, the hand of God moved for the Israelites, and the cloud rose up to go. The Israelites had to be ready to move with it: when the cloud moved, they moved. It must be the same with us today. When God moves, we must be ready to move with Him or we will be left behind. Our time is not our own, for we have been bought with a price. There is much responsibility that God has placed on His children. The harvest is now ripe; souls are ready to be brought in, souls who are crying to be rescued. They are seeking the way out, looking for the person who can bring the hope and love of Jesus to them; and often they are not even aware of what they are looking for.

The milkman delivers milk, the breadman bread. What will you deliver? As a child of God, what do you give others? Do you leave the love, the fragrance of Jesus and the touch of God, or do you leave your own touch? It’s time to know that God is moving, that we have a God who can save everyone on planet Earth who will just look to God and say, “Lord, here I am. Make me what you want me to be!” A nation will be born in a day, the Bible tells us; in a twinkling of an eye, the Jewish nation will see Calvary and will recognize Jesus. In a twinkling of an eye, they will behold Him; and in a twinkling of an eye we will behold His face as we meet Him in the clouds.

God Is Moving with Rapid Speed

Although you may think the Rapture is a long time off, that it never will happen, it is coming quickly; and it will take place in a twinkling of an eye. No doubt you will be rising in the air before your mind has time to register the fact that you have been changed. Let the excitement of the change give you strength now; look forward to it with joy and anticipation. In a twinkling of an eye, you can be taken out of any valley no matter how deep—if you are ready to go. What does it matter about the fiery furnace that has been heated for you? God delivered the three Hebrew boys, and He can deliver you. Keep in mind the phrase “in a moment, in a twinkling of an eye”; the Holy Spirit wants it to burn within your soul and heart.

Prepare for God to do things quickly, for His hand to move swiftly. He has let us know that He would move with rapid speed in this final hour. Lift up your heads and know that redemption draweth nigh. Look up in this hour—you’re almost home. Elijah knew that the time was close to his being taken up to Heaven, and we know that the season when the Rapture will take place is here. In a twinkling of an eye, the river of Jordan separated as Elijah struck the waters with his mantle. In a twinkling of an eye, he was taken to Heaven in a chariot of fire. In the past God has done great things for just one or two people and, in this hour of the outpouring of the Spirit, He will do even greater things for multitudes.

Use God’s Perspective

Jesus died for you. He paid the price for each person who would come to Him. Had there been no one on earth but you, Jesus still would have come all the way from Heaven to save you, to die for just you alone. He declared that one soul is worth more than all the wealth in the world. In this final hour we must look at circumstances through the eyes of Jesus; put everything into perspective according to the Word of God. The Holy Spirit will help you sort out your values and help you select your priorities. Suddenly, the Lord reaches into the Word, picks up a phrase and in a twinkling of an eye makes it come alive in your innermost being. God is moving now and, in a twinkling of an eye, He is going to change many lives as the Holy Spirit prepares His Bride for that one great final change in the Rapture. Don’t give up on any of your loved ones. In a twinkling of an eye, they will turn around and see Jesus. In a twinkling of an eye, they will decide they do not want to go to hell. In a twinkling of an eye, an agnostic will become a child of God, an infidel changed. In a twinkling of an eye, those who never recognized Jesus to be the Son of God will recognize Him. Perhaps your children are grown and it looks as though they are not going to follow the way of the Lord, but in this final hour, as the Spirit of God rushes in on them like mighty ocean waves, they can be changed in a twinkling of an eye. They can turn around, recognize God and cry, “What must I do, oh Lord, to be saved?” In a twinkling of an eye, many things will be changed by the hand of God.

“Be It unto Me According to Thy Word”

There is much the obedient will see God perform in a twinkling of an eye. Search the paths of the obedient in the Word of God, those who dared obey and believe Him no matter what He said. Mary, the innocent young maiden of the Lord who was picked to be the mother of Jesus, believed the unbelievable message from an angel of the Lord. Although a virgin, Mary was told that her Son would be called the Son of the Highest, that there would be no end to His kingdom. She asked a sensible question, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? The Lord does not mind sensible questions, and the answer was, The power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. Her response was outstanding: be it unto me according to thy word (Luke 1:34,35,38).

That must be our cry today: be it unto me according to thy Word in all things. Help me walk the path the Son of man walked, and I will not complain about Gethsemane or the place of my crucifixion because I will see His footprints before me at all times. I will know no matter how far I have come that He has gone beyond me; He has suffered more than I. I will pay the price whatever others do. I’m going through, Jesus, I’m going through. I will wade through each valley no matter the tears. I will go where you want me to go, and I will not despise the places that you take me. I will delight in thy greatness, oh God, and I will know somewhere in this valley I will be changed in a moment, in a twinkling of an eye. One day I will shed my last tear, suffer my last torment for thy name’s sake. I will journey through powers of darkness and trample devils underfoot for the last time as I use the name Jesus against Lucifer. Then in a moment, in a twinkling of an eye Jesus will descend to Earth again. The long night will be over as we are caught away to live with our Lord forever. In a twinkling of an eye, deliverance will come.
