My cup runneth over (Psalm 23:5). The cup—the mind—runneth over. Limited to how much it can hold, the mind is like a cup. Your soul, however, can never run over because there is no limit to its capacity. Behold the kingdom of God is within you (Luke 17:21). The Godhead can dwell in your soul and still have plenty of room left over. The soul came from God; it can hold the whole Word of God, all of Heaven. The soul is sealed with the blood by the Holy Spirit Himself when the person is born again. All hell cannot break that seal of blood redemption. The angels, if they tried, couldn’t break it. Only the individual can break that seal by willfully sinning against God. The seal of blood conquers all the powers of darkness, all evil. Although the devil cannot touch the pure soul, the mind can be affected by the devil if it is not filled with the right things. What is in your mind cup?

The Word of God is living water, the water Jesus brought. Jesus said, He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.) (John 7:38,39). Flush the mind cup through the Holy Spirit. The Word-water will flush your mind cup, but remember, it’s the blood of Christ that brings salvation. With the blood, the soul is sealed by the Holy Spirit when a person is born again. The mind must be flushed to keep it clean, sometimes often in one day.

Never to go bed with thoughts that would keep your mind cup from overflowing with the goodness of the Lord. The Holy Spirit is your helper; He is very good at flushing out, and when you receive salvation He has the living water from your soul to flush with. We draw close to the Lord with a true mind of faith, his faith. Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; And having an high priest over the house of God; Let us draw near with a true heart [or mind] in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) (Hebrews 10:19-23).

How can we keep our faith from wavering? By using the Word of God. Because the capacity of the mind is limited, the devil tries to keep anything on the mind that would crowd out the Word. Strength, power and victory are in the Word. Put the Word into your soul and keep it in your mind. The Lord uses what is in your soul; He flows it to the mind that is receptive. The Psalmist said his cup runneth over; his mind cup was running over with the goodness of God. What made his cup run over? The same things that will make your mind cup run over.

In the Garden of Eden, the minds of Adam and Eve did not need to be flushed. Continually their mind cups were running over with the greatness and love of God. They knew no sin, no disobedience, no unpleasantness. Everything was lovely. The Lord came down to walk and talk with them. Their minds were miniatures of God’s great mind—until they turned from the truth, and sin entered. They let the devil defeat them, but we needn’t let him defeat us. The Word of God and the blood of Jesus are our defense.

The devil cannot defeat the Word of God. Jesus met him face to face and turned him back by using the Word of God: It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. It is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve (Matthew 4:4,7,10).

From the mouth of God comes the peace of mind that we need. From the mouth of God comes the strength of Heaven, the faith, the love to make a new life. We need not be worried, tormented, tortured in our minds; that is not the will of God. Mental torment for the Christian stems from the oppression of mental spirits coming against the person, bringing battles of the mind.

The Bible tells us what to do about the battles of the mind: Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ (II Corinthians 10:5). You cannot entertain weak thoughts and still have the strength of the Word in your mind. The Bible is filled with thoughts of strength to make you an overcomer; they are yours to use. The devil delights to see you accept discouraging thoughts; he plays them over and over in your mind like a broken record as he tries to deceive you. Use good thoughts to shoot down bad thoughts.

Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked (Ephesians 6:16). The devil is shooting fiery darts at your mind. He knows there is no need for him to take aim at the soul of anyone who is born again until he can convince the mind to commit willful sin. Then and then only can he drop that sin into the soul. The shield of faith defends against these fiery darts, these evil thoughts of the devil. Use the shield of faith and the fiery darts bounce off harmlessly.

You don’t have to embrace the devil’s thoughts. If he can get you to think with him, he will unload condemnation on you. He will say you’re guilty; you might as well do that forbidden thing since you were thinking about it. He is cunning; don’t let him plant his notions in your mind. No thoughts of his will edify you, bless you. Why let him unload any idea on you? He is not your teacher, not your guide, not related to you in any way.

When you took Jesus into your heart, you left the devil entirely, rejected his evil mind, evil thoughts. The Lord gives you the grace and power to trample the devil underfoot so that he cannot put things into your mind.

How much power does Satan have? God will send one angel with one chain, a chain of blood, to drag him to the bottomless pit. John the Revelator writes, And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, And cast him into the bottomless pit (Revelation 20:1-3). Through the blood of Jesus the devil will be cast into the bottomless pit and then, after one thousand years, into the lake of fire. And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever (Revelation 20:10). All evil, which will not already have been cast into it, will go into the lake of fire at the end of the thousand year Perfect Age.

You don’t need to worry about the soul as long as you commit no willful sin, but you must be a diligent caretaker of the mind. Guard your mind cup; sift out the wrong thoughts. Be careful what you listen to because it will register in the mind cup. Be very careful. Again and again the Lord warns us that our conversation must be holy, our thoughts wholesome. He wants us to think on things that will be a blessing.

Your mind is precious to you; it’s the only one you have. If the mind ceases to work, you cease to work. The mind does all your thinking, all your planning. For you to have a victorious walk with God, the mind must accept the plan of God daily for your life, listen to what God is saying. Without your mind, you would have no contact with God, would not be able to walk with Him and talk with Him. The mind makes you an intelligent being that the Lord can walk with, talk with and reveal things to. Realize that you have a mind that can fellowship with the Lord. When your mind is pure and clean, the lord will move for you. He has sent the Holy Ghost to help you, to be your guide, your teacher, warning you to have none of the thoughts of Lucifer. To have the thoughts of God, the things of God, you must yield to the living water.

A flush is a sudden rapid flow. A sudden flow of spiritual water—living water, the Jesus water—can flush your mind. That mind then will be able to think clearly unless you let it become cluttered again. Guard against the wrong thoughts. Don’t let people, no matter how much you love them, pour anything unholy into your mind. You wouldn’t drink from a cup filled with rat poison; it would be even worse to let your mind be filled with the devil’s poison. Take your stand against those who would serve you from the devil’s table. Their cups are contaminated, ungodly, unclean. They may try to serve you contamination sooner or later and think you are a fanatic when you won’t listen. If they become offended and go home, thank God for the victory. The devil would like to make you feel depressed when you are winning.

Rivers of living water flowing in your soul, bubbling into life everlasting are for you to use. When the rivers of living water are inside a soul, it is easy for the Holy Spirit to flow them into a clean, pure mind. Any time you need more of the Holy Spirit, all you have to do is ask; and the living water flows, makes the cup clean.

You expect the cup you drink from to be clean. Why tolerate a dirty, left-over cup of a mind? Let the Holy Spirit cleanse it. Get out all the bugs and flies. A roach you suddenly see swimming in your coffee cup has your undivided attention. You take care of it immediately. If someone were to tell you that a roach in your coffee won’t hurt you, to go ahead and drink the coffee, you would doubt his intelligence. Be even more concerned about the roaches and leeches in your mind cup: They are much more dangerous. Get rid of them a once. From the rivers of living water use that flush you need to cleanse the mind. That which you allow to remain in your mind you will sooner or later use; let it be the good things that stay in your mind.

Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish (Ephesians 5:25-27). The glorious Church, the Bride of Christ is sanctified, cleansed by the Word. The Word of God is living water. We can’t get along without the Word of God; it’s life to us.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men (John 1:1-4). In Jesus was the life of living water. Jesus told the Samaritan woman at the well, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life (John 4:13,14). How glorious to have a well of water in your soul that will pour into your mind cup, springing into everlasting life! When living water flushes the cup, the cup is clean, and then the Holy Spirit fills it with the right things, the promises in the Word of God, the strength, encouragement, peace, love, joy and happiness you need. He fills the cup with wisdom and knowledge—and more. The Holy Spirit knows all your needs. Sometimes we think we know what is necessary, and then find it wasn’t necessary at all. Like children, we require training.

To flush means to become cleaned, washed or emptied out. What is wrong with emptying your mind? Again and again empty it so it can hold the things of God. The mind, remember, is limited; but the soul is not. The soul came from God.

The soul holds the rivers of life, rivers of water gushing forth from your innermost being into the mind until the mind cup runs over. The soul is the reservoir for the things of God—if you put them there. Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee (Psalm 119:11). Hide the water of life in your heart so you won’t sin against God. Learn how to yield to God, to His Word. Many Christians are being defeated because they don’t understand how to yield.

No life can exist without water. Jesus let people know He was the water of life springing up. People need the water of life—what desert the soul is without that living water! The nine fruits of the Holy Spirit are not produced in the soul that has not that water. Each spirit-filled soul should produce the fruits of the Spirit. If you don’t have living water in your soul, you have no life there, only death, eternal death.

To purge means to cleanse, to rid of impurities, foreign matter of undesirable elements, corrupting elements. To purge means to cleanse of guilt and sin, to clear away, clear off or clear out; to become clear, clean or pure. Our sins are washed away in the blood of the Lamb, but our minds must often be purged. I say again, the water of life, the Word of God, purges, flushes out what hinders. Everything unlike Jesus will go with a flush of living water.

Why can’t you be rid of that which is unpleasant when you have rivers of living water flowing from your soul? Why be a slave to the mind cup? Why think you have something in that cup you can’t be rid of? When you hold a coffee cup in your hand, you can dump out the contents or drink. It’s the same way with the mind cup: you can empty it, flush it out, renew it or you can keep whatever is in it.

How can a troubled mind be renewed? By centering it on the Lord in complete trust. Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee (Isaiah 26:3). In order to keep the mind stayed on the Lord, it must have the Word of God, the living water, in it. This doesn’t mean you constantly think God, God, God; it means the Lord is your first consideration in all you do.

You may have a soul full of peace, yet have a storm raging in your mind. You who are on your way to Heaven have had some times of terrible storms in the mind. The disciples, finding themselves in a fierce storm at sea, had a storm in their minds as well. They were terrified, certain they were about to die. Jesus, however, was sleeping; He had the right things in His cup, a mind of peace. And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish. Then he arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm. And he said unto them, Where is your faith (Luke 8:24,25)? Jesus flushed their mind cups in a hurry: Peace, be still, He said (Mark 4:39). All the fear was flushed out. The Word of God is powerful. Jesus was the Word in a wrapper of clay.

The mind cup can hold much fear. Fear magnifies itself. A little fear can mushroom into a mountain. Have you ever been so terrified you thought you would die of it? You didn’t know your mind could hold so much fear. Fear can overtake you quickly, aided by a vivid imagination. You just know something is going to “get you.” Some of you can’t go to sleep until you check under the bed to see if anything is hiding there; you can almost hear someone breathing. You don’t have a weapon, but you get out of bed and look underneath. Have you ever thought what you would do if you looked under the bed and saw two eyes staring back at you? Would you ask what they were doing there? Since you cup can hold so much fear, why can’t it hold so much faith? Why can’t it hold that much joy, peace, happiness? Faith conquers fear.

You don’t have to be afraid; the Lord is your protector, your strength. He will take care of you. The 23rd Psalm tells of the good things that made the Psalmist’s cup run over. God wants your cup to run over, too, run over daily. No matter what is happening around you, your cup can run over with the goodness and mercy of the Lord. The same thing that made the Psalmist’s cup run over can make yours run over.

The protection available for your cup is found in the 91st Psalm. He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty (Psalm 91:1). When you are born again, His faith is in your soul; now let the Holy Spirit flush your mind with living water and put that faith into your mind. The mind that is flushed is pure, uncontaminated with fear or distress; it works the way God intended. The Holy Spirit must have your mind to be able to work with you and through you. He is the third person in the Trinity of the Godhead living and dwelling inside of you, but He must use your hands, your voice, your vocal organs. They are His to use.

I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust (Psalm 91:2). God’s promises are in the souls of all who are born again, and the Holy Spirit seeks to flow these promises to the mind. The Holy Spirit came to help you, to serve you, to live on the inside. If your cup has distress, fear, then reach over to the Holy Spirit and let Him flow His promises from your soul into your mind cup. But if they are not in your soul, if you are not born again, He, of course, can’t low them. The Word must be in your soul before He can serve it to the cup.

Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet. Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation (Psalm 91:3-16). Study the 91st Psalm; hold out your cup and let His protection overflow in your mind. The mind that is kept flushed holds a great anointing, and is directed by His measureless love. Let the goodness and the promises of God in action cover you. The Lord, the most High is your refuge, your habitation. He will give His angels instructions to keep you in all your ways.

Feast on the Word of God. He flows the living water to flush the cup because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us (Romans 5:5). The Holy Ghost flows the love of God in the soul to the mind cup. When someone hurts you, don’t carry that hurt in your mind. Dwelling on hurt is what the devil wants. Let the Holy Spirit flush it out at once, replace the hurt with healing balm, fill your cup with love; and you will heal up. Hurtful things people may say about you won’t matter. They slandered Jesus, too, and they are still talking against Him when they denounce His true followers.

That good thing which was committed unto thee keep by the Holy Ghost which dwelleth in us (II Timothy 1:14). Keep those good things by the Holy Ghost; He helps you with His mighty anointing, bringing to your mind the things God has said. Your mind is limited in how much it can take in during a given period; it can only handle one voice at a time. If you turned on the radio, and sixteen people were all reporting the news at once, it would be very confusing. Some people try to deal with this kind of confusion in their minds, the chatter of people and of the devil. It creates mind chaos. Will you listen to the voice of man, self, the devil or the Holy Spirit? Tune out other voices and tune in to the voice of the Lord.

Within yourself you cannot clear out mental confusion. Before you can find peace, the corrosive things in the mind cup must be flushed out with living water. Who will do that flushing? The Holy Spirit. Where will He find the living water? In your soul. That river of living water—and there is plenty of it—is bubbling up, ready to do the flushing. All you have to do is yield to the Holy Spirit, invite Him to take over. Say, Holy Spirit: Flush! Flush this out of my mind. Put Him into action for you.

The Holy Ghost is your servant, your teacher, your helper. Jesus said, But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you (John 14:26). The Holy Ghost did not come to be served, but to serve. He serves you so that you might serve the Lord in perfection.

Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus (II Timothy 1:13). Hold fast the sound words of the Lord given to you in faith and love. Sound words are God’s words. No weakness is found in His words. Man’s words, on the other hand, are tarnished with weaknesses and imperfections. God speaks words that last for all eternity. Because they have the life of God in them, they can never be destroyed. If the devil is able to get your attention, the first thing he wants you to do is turn loose of the Word of God, some of the Word and any promise in it. He tries to destroy in your mind anything God would say to you in the very moment of need. If he can rob you of the Word, you are in trouble. You cannot survive without the Word. Jesus said, remember, that man cannot live by bread alone, but by every Word of God.

The Holy Spirit serves the Word of God to you, filled with all the life it had when God first spoke it. When the Holy Spirit uses His promises in your spirit, when your spirit and the Holy Spirit blend, the word is just as sound and alive as it was when God spoke it, and it will have the same effect.

Remember to keep God’s living water in operation for you. If the water is turned off in your house, your heart sinks. You cry: What are we going to do! You try to get it back on. If you didn’t pay your water bill, you do everything you can to pay it now. We must have water to drink, to cook in, to bathe in! We’ll smell bad! What really smells bad is people who don’t use the living water to cleanse their minds and souls. If the living water stops flowing, if the Holy Spirit cannot flow it into the mind cup, the cup begins to stink. When people sin against God, the water of life is cut off. The stench of the world, the stench of the devil contaminates that life now.

Some people have the water shut off in their souls, and they are not willing to pay the price to start the flow. They know they could get it going again, but they don’t want to pay.

There is a price to pay to have this river of living water—not in dollars and cents, but in dedication and consecration to the Lord. Jesus paid the price of your salvation with His own blood. You can’t buy it with money. It’s whosoever will, let him come and take the water of life freely.

To show you that the water of life will flush your mind, read of the woman who met Jesus by the well, a degraded woman. Jesus saith unto her, Go, call thy husband, and come hither. The woman answered and said, I have no husband. Jesus said unto her, Thou hast well said, I have no husband: For thou hast had five husbands; and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband (John 4:16-18). Jesus’ words had a profound effect on that woman who had been living in sin, and the woman then left her waterpot, and went her way into the city, and saith to the men, Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ (John 4:28,29)? She forgot about her waterpot, forgot about everything except that she had just met the Christ. Jesus had flushed out her mind and immediately put His message into it. How much she had in her soul I don’t know; but when she met Jesus her cup was filled, and she served from her cup. What Jesus put into her mind stirred the whole city. Some people believed by seeing the excitement of that woman. Some were saved on the spot; others believed after they saw Jesus themselves.

When honest-hearted people met Jesus, He flushed their minds of all doubt. A noble man came to Jesus wanting Him to heal his son. He went unto him, and besought him that he would come down, and heal his son: for he was at the point of death. The nobleman saith unto him, Sir, come down ere my child die. Jesus saith unto him, Go thy way; thy son liveth. And the man believed the word that Jesus had spoken unto him, and he went his way. And as he was now going down, his servants met him, and told him, saying, Thy son liveth. Then inquired he of them the hour when he began to amend. And they said unto him, Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him. So the father knew that it was at the same hour, in the which Jesus said unto him, Thy son liveth: and himself believed, and his whole house (John 4:47,49-53). The Holy Spirit can flush out all doubt so you can receive the healing or miracle you need.

Some people pray and pray but don’t yield to what they already have in their souls. If you have rivers of living water bubbling up into life everlasting like the Lord said, you must know that the mind cup can be flushed any time. In the living water is everything you need to destroy all the works of the devil, all his power and thoughts. It’s eternal living water with eternal life and all the power in the blood of Jesus, all the greatness of Him, all the greatness of Him, all the greatness of the Godhead. The Word of God is living water.

Jesus met a man who hadn’t walked in thirty-eight years. In his cup was the idea that he couldn’t be healed because he had no one to help him step into the pool when an angel troubled the waters. He knew that the first person to step into the pool would be healed. When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole? The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me. Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk. And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked (John 5:6-9). The man didn’t doubt that an angel came down and stirred up the waters. He had been to the pool before and had seen people healed who first stepped into the waters. Then he found that he didn’t need anyone to put him into the pool; He just needed Jesus to tell him to rise, stand up. Take up your bed and walk. Immediately he stood up and immediately he was made whole. The Word spoke life; living water flushed the mind of unbelief, flushed that thought of not being healed. That’s the reason the man stood and carried his bed. The word had flushed out the cup. He didn’t say “I can’t,” or that he had no one to help him. He believed and was made whole. This healing pool is a type of Jesus’ miracle healing hand. Jesus opened up a healing pool for whosover-will to step in and be healed.

In the ninth chapter of John is a remarkable story of a man who had been blind from birth. The living water didn’t flow into his parents’ cups, but it flowed into his. Jesus knew if his cup were flushed, the man would do exactly what he was told. Jesus spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay, And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing (John 9:6,7).

It’s wonderful how Jesus flushed the blind man’s mind! His parents were afraid to even admit that Jesus gave their son a miracle. But the son’s mind was flushed from all fear, and the Lord poured into him a cup of faith and obedience. The Lord prepared him to be a witness to the greatness of God, a testimony of the good news. Obeying the words of Jesus, he washed and came from the pool seeing. He didn’t struggle, didn’t stop to ask what others thought about it; he simply obeyed Jesus. He had an obedient mind, an obedient heart, and he had his sight. A made-up mind in the faith and love of God brought his obedience.

When your mind is made-up in the grace, love and faith of God, nothing can stop you. The Word prevails and destroys all weaknesses, all the powers of the devil. The Word heals: He sent his word, and healed them (Psalm 107:20). In the Word is living water springing up into eternal life.

The man who Jesus healed of blindness had no doubt. With his obedient mind, obedient heart, he received his sight. The Jews didn’t frighten him; boldly he told them that Jesus had healed him. Then they reviled him, and said, Thou art his disciple; but we are Moses’ disciples. We know that God spake unto Moses: as for this fellow [Jesus], we know not from whence he is. The man answered and said unto them, Why herein is a marvellous thing, that ye know not from whence he is, and yet he hath opened mine eyes. Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth. Since the world began was it not heard that any man opened the eyes of one that was born blind. If this man were not of God, he could do nothing (John 9:28-33). For his testimony of Jesus, the Jews cast him out of the synagogue.

When man casts you out of a dead church, you don’t have to be afraid. The Lord will take you up, look out for you. Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God? He answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on him? And Jesus said unto him, Thou hast both seen him, and it is he that talketh with thee. And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him (John 9:35-38). The man had everything against him; he had been born blind, but when he yielded to the Lord, everything was in his favor. This is the Creator at work, the creator of man. All He needs is yielded, believing people. He is still working today, still speaking.

Why can’t you be made whole? Why can’t you have a miracle of re-creation? You can when your mind is flushed by the Word and you take on the promises of God in your mind as well as in your soul. As that living water flushes the mind, the mind will be in condition to hold to the promises of God and let the Holy Spirit work. It doesn’t matter what people think, what they say: You can have a miracle. Your family may not believe in miracles, but you still can have miracle, bring a live miracle into the home. Miracles can convince people of the greatness of God.

A mind should be a sober mind. Through God you can have good plans in life. Think about what is in your mind cup. How much faith, how much doubt, how much obedience, how much disobedience is there? It’s time to decide just where you stand. Paul in his letter to the Philippians specifies what to fix your mind on: Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things (Philippians 4:8).

Jesus said, And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free (John 8:32). Think on the things that are true: The Word is true, honest. God is just in every word He speaks. The Word is pure, lovely and contains a good report from Heaven, a good report of our salvation, our redemption. It has the good report that we are on our way to an eternal city whose builder and maker is God. This good report tells of a river of life flowing in that city. John saw that river: And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb (Revelation 22:1). The water of life, that same water is what we have in our souls now. It is not different; it is the same water that John wrote about: Living water, the water of life.

Why would you let the devil defeat you? Why let him bring things to your mind that weaken you? Does he tantalize you to lust? Don’t let one particle of it contaminate your cup. Anything that contaminates your mind cup is worse than poison. If you allow lust to remain in your mind, it will eventually drop into your soul, and salvation will be lost. You destroy the blood seal on that soul by willfully yielding to lust. You can’t play with lust in your mind and not become contaminated. Be careful of your cup. Anything unclean that comes to your mind, brush it out right away. Don’t keep it; don’t toy with it. Sin is a monster, worse than a herd of vicious animals, worse than a pit of poisonous snakes. Sin will kill eternally, an eternal soul death.

The Bible lists the seventeen works of the flesh, works that contaminate the cup: Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like (Galatians 5:19-21). Turn away from that which is unclean, that which God says Thou shalt not touch, because in the day you do, you will surely die. Remember what the devil put into the mind cup of Eve to convince her to take that first bite, to reach out for forbidden fruit. How long the devil must have worked to get her to reach! He was forever scheming to implant that little particle of deceit into her mind, that perfect cup that had never before known contamination in any form.

Always stay on guard. If the devil tries to put any disobedience into your cup, let the Holy Spirit flush it out immediately. Don’t carry a spirit of fretting and worrying; let the Holy Spirit carry it away. Take instead the joy and promises of the Lord, the greatness of Him. Check your mind cup many times day and night. Men and women must once again have holy minds. The Bible tells us to take on the mind of Christ. Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus (Philippians 2:5). The mind of Jesus is willed to us, a mind that will work just like His mind of flesh worked when He was here. Jesus was divine, but He was also very man. To be very man, He had to have a human mind, a mind with the ingredients we need.

Never go to sleep without the mind being flushed. Your last thought before you fall asleep is to have the Holy Spirit flush the mind and let Him flow whatever is needed from your soul into your mind while you sleep. But if you go to sleep with any contamination, anything that hinders the Holy Spirit, you will wake in the same condition. Let Him flush the cup so that the love, peace, joy, wisdom and knowledge in your born-again soul can be flowed into your mind. You will wake a different person, saith the Lord, because the Holy Spirit worked while you were asleep, flowed that which was in your soul into your cup. In the morning you can declare with the Psalmist, My cup runneth over!

How many times have you risen in the morning in the same condition is which you fell asleep, with the same dread, the same spirit of defeat? It was because the cup mind was not flushed with living water, and the Holy Spirit could not flow the things into your cup that the Lord wanted you to have.

Yea, saith the Spirit of the Lord: I am dealing with my people, and I am drawing on the Bride in this her final walk. I am giving her my mind and my ways, my personality, my characteristics. If offer her all of me for this her final walk. I delight in her. I delight in total obedience. I delight in looking upon her and declare that she is without spot or wrinkle or blemish, that she’s fair, fair, fair. She is all mine and I’m all hers. No power can defeat her because she walks with me. She finds the shelter and the peace and the joy and the strength and the greatness that she needs. There is no lack. All things are made ready for her for this her final walk and her final battles with the enemy, all things furnished to her to preach my Gospel to the world in this her final hour. She will know no defeat because I am her victory, because I am her faith and because I am her love, I am her greatness in this her final hour, saith the Lord.

Yield to His Holy Spirit; yield to Him now in this prayer: Oh, God, I give myself completely to you, soul, mind and body. Use me in this last hour. Help me fill my soul with your goodness and with your Word daily. Help me yield my mind to your Holy Spirit so that it can be flushed, so that the peace of God that passes understanding will overflow my cup mind. Help me yield my mind so that the strength of the Lord will be poured into my cup and I will have all the strength I need for the journey. Bless my mind cup and help me to be ready each day for my cup not only to be filled, but for my cup to overflow. Then I can declare with the Psalmist of old: My cup runneth over.

Let the Holy Spirit move for you now, use you like never before. Let Him fill your cup with that miracle of healing for you or yours that is so needed. One night so many years ago, death was in my cup; I knew it was there. But the Lord came to me, and with His life water He flushed out death and poured in life. My cup ran over; I was made whole that night, brought back from the edge of the grave. I’m so glad He filled my cup with life! I love Him for coming to me in that hour when no one else could help me. No one else could have flushed death out of my cup and given me life. He did it, and He can do the same for you. His love covers you, too.

I’m not a healer. I don’t claim to be a healer; the Lord is the healer. I believe in the power of healing prayer. The Bible says that by Jesus’ blood stripes ye were healed (I Peter 2:24). Jesus died for your healing as well as for your salvation. Lord, I bring the diabetics, the heart patients, the stroke victims, all those suffering with diseases and afflictions. Lord, I bring them all to you. I bring the little ones who will never be normal without your miracle touch. Lord, you have healed these afflictions and diseases so many times. I boldly declare that you will do it again. In the name, the holy name of Jesus through the power of the Holy Ghost it comes from the supernatural gift of miracles and the supernatural gifts of healing: Heal! Heal! in the name of Jesus. Heal! in the all powerful name of Jesus!

The healing waters of life are flowing, the same healing waters that flowed for me that night I was healed. They are flowing for many right now. Watch yourself or your loved one get well. Notice all improvements daily. Then write and tell me about it. I will rejoice with you as your write to say, Oh, Preacher, my cup runneth over! And your cup will run over as daily you keep it flushed with the rivers of living water flowing from your soul.
