The Lord wants His people to be separated from the world and completely yielded to Him in this last hour. They must be regenerated, sanctified and baptized in the Holy Ghost. They must be consecrated, dedicated and fit for the Master’s use. God is ready to use every person He can in this last hour, but so many people look to themselves for what they need more than they look to God.

Some of you haven’t done all you could have done for God because you didn’t think you had what it takes. You’ve been waiting to receive what it takes without realizing that all God wants is for you to use what you already have.

Moses Did Not Always Trust God

You can’t try to figure things out on your own like Moses did. After God had given him instructions to go into Egypt and ask Pharaoh to let His people go, Moses looked to himself and tried to figure things out. First, he told the Lord he was not a good speaker. And Moses said unto the LORD, O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant: but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue. And the LORD said unto him, Who hath made man’s mouth?…have not I the LORD (Exodus 4:10,11)?

Then Moses questioned God further. And Moses answered [the Lord] and said, But, behold, they will not believe me, nor hearken unto my voice: for they will say, The LORD hath not appeared unto thee. And the LORD said unto him, What is that in thine hand? And he said, A rod (Exodus 4:1,2).

In the eyes of people, all Moses had was a rod; but when God was finished using that rod, it brought the Israelites out of Egypt and even separated the waters of the Red Sea. That simple rod became one of the greatest possessions Moses ever had because God made it great. God did miraculous things through that simple rod.

Some of you look to yourselves as Moses did, and you think you don’t have anything to work with. Then you wonder how you can possibly accomplish what God wants you to. You can’t look at what you have and then decide on your own whether or not it is going to be a success for God. You have to look to God, trust Him and say as the Psalmist did, Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee (Psalm 143:8).

You Must Be Willing

When the Lord called me to preach, I couldn’t look to myself because I did not have one sermon. I had only been saved for a few weeks; and I fell to my knees with my face to the floor crying, “Lord, I will, but I don’t know how.” Not until I accepted God’s call did He give me my first sermon. The Lord wanted me to preach what He gave me, not things I had heard from others.

If I had looked to myself when God called me, I would have made all kinds of excuses—“I don’t know how…I don’t have money to go to theological school…I don’t have what it takes to be a preacher.” God is God; and all He needs is a willing, obedient and trusting heart.

The time we have left on Earth is very short, so you must yield yourself to God and let Him use you to finish bringing in the harvest of lost souls. God is the Master Potter, and He can do marvelous works with yielded clay. But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand (Isaiah 64:8).

When God called Noah to build an ark to save his family from the great Flood that was to come upon the Earth, he had probably never heard of or seen an ark let alone built one. He could easily have looked to himself and said he didn’t know how to accomplish such a feat, but he didn’t; he looked to God. The Lord isn’t looking for experience; He is looking for yielded vessels. Are you ready and willing to do whatever God wants you to?

Noah accepted the call from God to build an ark, and God gave Noah the knowledge of how to do it. By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house (Hebrews 11:7). Would you have told God He needed to look for someone else?

Never Look to Yourself

Some of you are always so busy looking at what you don’t have that you don’t see what you do have. You may think, “Lord, when I get this one thing, I will work for you.” But if you aren’t willing to work with what you already have, you won’t be willing to work when you receive more because you are looking too much to yourself instead of looking to God and trusting Him to work through you. You are clay that is resisting the work of the Potter’s hands.

God doesn’t want you to take pride and joy in what you have or what you have done; He wants you to trust Him and glorify Him for what He has done. But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: That no flesh should glory in his presence (I Corinthians 1:27–29).

You have to believe that God can do anything. Jesus said, All things are possible to him that believeth (Mark 9:23). God can make what you have great when you depend on Him. Jesus said, I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing (John 15:5). God wants His work to be recognized in such a way that people will have to admit that no one else could have done it but Him.

Claim God’s Promises

When you are facing tribulation, sometimes all you have are the promises of God; but they will be enough. As long as you keep those promises alive within you, nothing can defeat you. Paul said, For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 8:38,39).

Every promise in God’s Word is as strong as God Himself, so don’t worry about what you don’t have; just be willing to furnish what you do have and trust God. Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ [Rapture Day] (Philippians 1:6). Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it (I Thessalonians 5:24).

This is the final hour, and God wants to use every person He can to finish His work; so stop limiting Him by looking to yourself and to what you think you don’t have. Just look to God and let Him use you and what you have no matter how insignificant it may look. You are just human, but God is the God of all flesh; and nothing is too hard for Him. Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me (Jeremiah 32:27)? When you try to figure things out by how things look in the natural, you limit God.

Trust God’s Plan

When God called Joshua to lead the people in tearing down the walls of Jericho, it seemed like an impossible task; but he didn’t look to himself. Joshua looked to God who said, See, I have given into thine hand Jericho, and the king thereof, and the mighty men of valour. And ye shall compass the city, all ye men of war, and go round about the city once. Thus shalt thou do six days. And seven priests shall bear before the ark seven trumpets of rams’ horns: and the seventh day ye shall compass the city seven times, and the priests shall blow with the trumpets. And it shall come to pass, that when they make a long blast with the ram’s horn, and when ye hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people shall shout with a great shout; and the wall of the city shall fall down flat, and the people shall ascend up every man straight before him (Joshua 6:2–5). And that is exactly what happened. Joshua didn’t have a heavy heart when God gave him that plan, and he didn’t try to figure things out. He trusted God, and God brought a great victory.

When you are facing a bad situation or carrying a heavy burden, do you look to God; or do you look to yourself and other people? Jesus said, Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest (Matthew 11:28). Look to the One who really cares for you. Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you (I Peter 5:7). The Bible says, Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need (Hebrews 4:16).

Vengeance Belongs to God

When someone hurts you, do you look to friends or relatives for help; or do you look to the One who can heal your broken heart? He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds (Psalm 147:3). God can do that; but if you look to yourself, anger and revenge will fester when the Bible says, Put off all these; anger, wrath, malice (Colossians 3:8). You have to turn your enemies over to God and let Him take care of them. Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord (Romans 12:19).

Anger and malice are not included in the fruits of the Spirit. You must let the Holy Spirit produce His nine fruits within you and flow them through you to others. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law (Galatians 5:22,23). You will never get those fruits by looking to yourself.

Reason with God

When God called Paul, he didn’t look to himself or to anyone else. He looked only to the Lord, and the Holy Spirit taught him what God wanted him to know. But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb, and called me by his grace, To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood: Neither went I up to Jerusalem to them which were apostles before me; but I went into Arabia, and returned again unto Damascus (Galatians 1:15–17). Paul was alone with God, and he was looking only to Him in the desert of Arabia for about three years.

When you look to yourself, you will never get God’s thoughts. The Bible says, For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts (Isaiah 55:9). If you start reasoning with yourself, you are apt to talk yourself right out of God’s divine will. That is why the Bible says, Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD (Isaiah 1:18).

Have Faith in God

When God called Gideon to save Israel from the Midianites, Gideon first looked to himself and said, Oh my Lord, wherewith shall I save Israel? behold, my family is poor in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father’s house (Judges 6:15). Gideon was very humble, and he didn’t think he could do what God was asking; but he still obeyed the Lord.

When Gideon humbled himself before the Lord, God took him step by step and showed him exactly what to do. God told Gideon to gather together an army, and he ended up with 10,000 soldiers; but when God was finished weeding out all those who were not yielded to Him, there were just 300 left. Then God used those 300 men armed with only trumpets, clay pitchers and lamps to defeat the great army of the Midianites. And they stood every man in his place round about the camp: and all the host ran, and cried, and fled (Judges 7:21).

When God called Jeremiah to be a prophet unto the nations, he said, Ah, Lord GOD! behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child (Jeremiah 1:6). Jeremiah was looking to himself, and the Lord was not pleased with that; so He told Jeremiah, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak. Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the LORD (Jeremiah 1:7,8).

It takes faith in God to bypass the flesh when God calls you to do something you think is beyond you, and you can only learn to use your faith like that by doing it again and again. Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works (James 2:18).

Divine Help from On High

When you look to God in times of trouble instead of yourself, you can say, We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed (II Corinthians 4:8,9). The Lord said through the prophet Isaiah, Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness (Isaiah 41:10).

When trouble comes, don’t let fear take you over. Respond to what the Lord is telling you and decide that you have all the divine help you need from On High. Say as the Psalmist did, I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD (Psalm 121:1,2). When my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I (Psalm 61:2). Jesus is that Rock of salvation, strength and eternal life. Let Him be your all in all!

Look to Jesus for Salvation

Divine healing and deliverance begin in your soul. You can’t look to Jesus for your help until you accept Him into your heart. If you are not saved, lift your hand right now and pray this prayer: Oh, God, save my soul! I am so sorry that I sinned against you; but I have come home, and I will serve you, Lord, for the rest of my life. I believe the blood of Jesus washes away all of my sins. Come into my heart, Jesus! Come on in! If you meant that prayer, He has come into your heart; and He is yours.

Look to Jesus for Healing

Now that you have Jesus in your heart, it is time to receive healing for your body. It does not matter what your need is; the Bible says, Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases (Psalm 103:2,3). You can be healed of leprosy, cancer, heart trouble or any other disease or affliction you may have right now; but you must live for God and give Him all the honor, the praise and the glory for your miracle.

Lord, I bring the people to you. I come with your supernatural gifts and with your divine blood. As a servant of the living God and as your believer, I inject miracle, healing, blood power into the bodies of the people that will destroy all their diseases and bondages. Heal! in the name of Jesus. Heal! in the all-powerful, blood name. Make them whole from the crown of their heads to the soles of their feet.

Jesus healed people when He was on Earth, and He has not changed. Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). Now, watch yourself get well. Then write, email or leave a message on social media telling us what God has done for you. We love to hear what the Lord is doing for people all over the world through this Jesus ministry.
