In this Mysteries of God series, I set aside a time for questions and answers. Following are some the questions that were asked, and the answers the Lord gave me to pass on.

1. At what moment does the communion bread and juice of the vine change into the body and blood of Jesus? The Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread: And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me. After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me (I Corinthians 11:23-25).

Answer: Note that Jesus didn’t serve His actual body. The taking of the bread and juice of the vine is symbolic of the faith to receive the whole Christ in the deepest spiritual sense, all that the body and blood represent. We can’t take just part of Him and expect to be victorious. We must take the whole Jesus. For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do show the Lord’s death till he come (I Corinthians 11:26). When you show the death of the Lord, you also show the Resurrection, the coming of the Lord; you show the whole Jesus for the whole person. Jesus points the way for man from the cradle to the grave. I repeat, you are not physically drinking His blood or eating His flesh. This is faith in action, symbolic tokens of His shed blood and His broken body given for the salvation and healing of all who believe.

2. In II Kings 13:21: And it came to pass, as they were burying a man, that, behold, they spied a band of men; and they cast the man into the sepulche of Elisha: and when the man was let down, and touched the bones of Elisha, he revived, and stood up on his feet. How can power remain in the bones of a dead person to revive one who was buried with him?

Answer: How can power linger in a dead man’s bones? God’s power can linger in anything for all eternity. That’s the reason you can carry the anointing of God with you all the time. In this case, there was war in the land and a man had to be buried hastily. The burial party didn’t mean to disturb Elisha’s bones, and when the dead body touched his bones, the man suddenly revived. If Elisha’s dead bones held that much power of God, think how much you can have. God didn’t anoint the bones of the prophet after he died. This power was in his bones while he lived, and it lingered.

How can God’s power linger? When you are dealing with the power of God, remember the Bible says that all things are possible with God. This illustration shows the greatness of the anointing that was with the servant of God; even after he was dead the power of God that lingered in his bones resurrected a dead man. At the resurrection of the righteous dead when Jesus comes the second time, the power of God will bring bodies out of the grave that have been there thousands of years.

3. Where did Cain get his wife?

Answer: He had to marry someone related to him, his sister, probably. Even many years later, Abraham married his half-sister.

4. When David numbered the people, why did God destroy 70,000 people but not David?

Answer: The 70,000 that were killed had not been obedient to God. Israel had failed God again and again, and God sent judgments. This would never have happened had they been what God wanted. Had they been, they could have helped David be what he should have been.

5. Hell is a terrible place. Why isn’t it a greater reality to the human race?

Answer: The devil does all he can to wipe out the reality of hell in the minds of people. Why were Adam and Eve robbed of Eden? Because the devil deceived them. People are being robbed of eternal Heaven and will be in hell because they are deceived by the devil. Jesus tried to make hell real to people when He told of the rich man who died and in hell lifted up his eyes. Tormented, the rich man begged Lazarus to just dip his finger in water to cool his tongue. Jesus taught the reality of hell, and still even some Christians don’t believe in it.

6. Why didn’t Jesus speak in tongues?

Answer: It wasn’t necessary. Jesus knew the Holy Ghost and didn’t need anything to convince Him that He had received the Holy Ghost. It was not yet the Holy Ghost dispensation; it was the Jesus dispensation. John saw the Holy Ghost descending on Jesus in the form of a dove. It was essential for Jesus as the Son of man to have the Holy Ghost; but as the Son of God, it was not. Jesus became very man as well as very God. As very man, Jesus had to walk like us, talk and be like us in order to become the elder brother of the human race. Since Jesus had to have the Holy Ghost, you know that you must have Him, too. At Pentecost and since Pentecost, everyone who has been baptized in the Holy Ghost has spoken in tongues. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance (Acts 2:4).

7. How do you know when God speaks? Is it in an audible voice? Is it a thought in your mind?

Answer: At times, God does speak to people in an audible voice. In a great way He speaks to people through the Bible. He speaks in visions, but people must be careful about visions. The devil can give visions, too. If you have a vision, observe every detail. There will not be one thing in that vision unessential to your well-being. If the vision is from God, He will not allow it to be counterfeited completely. This is where the devil has deceived people. They didn’t keep in mind all that as in the vision God gave them, and when they saw a vision similar but not exactly the same, they accepted the wrong vision and were deceived. They got ahead of God, and the devil made them think the vision had come to pass. If God gives you a vision, the fulfillment of that vision will be exactly the same as the vision. The Holy Spirit will burn it upon your heart so you will remember.

When people say that God told them a certain thing, and it doesn’t come to pass, God didn’t say it. God doesn’t change His mind. Some people are free to say God told them something, and the next day they have forgotten it and claim God told them something else. When God speaks to you, His words will stay with you.

Some people go by inspiration, not revelation. Of all the millions of thoughts you have had in your lifetime, how many were from God? You can be inspired through enthusiasm on a sunny day. If a thought comes to your mind, what condition is your mind in to receive it? Was the devil able to bring that thought to your mind? Don’t take a thought and run with it. Thoughts come and go. Wait. Never get in a hurry when God is dealing with you. But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint (Isaiah 40:31).

If I have a dream, I always want to see the same thing when I’m wide awake. Visions always come when I’m awake; they are never dreams. I watch them just as I would look at another person or scene. Visions are real. The Word of God is real. Everything must be taken to the Word of God; everything must stand the Word-test. Your life must stand the Word-test. One day it will be the final test. All you need is a willing heart and mind for anything God wants done. Live holy all the time.

8. What is in people for God to be able to visit them, give visions and speak to them?

Answer: Humility, holiness, righteousness. God visits people in different ways; He visits with all His children. The name Emmanuel means God with us. When you accept the Lord as Emmanuel, He is with you. You don’t need to hear Him knock on your door or hear Him speak in an audible voice for Him to visit you. He is with you in Spirit and through His Word.

God chooses certain people for different things. Some people would become so confused in visions, that if the Lord were to give them a vision, they wouldn’t know how to handle it. God is the judge; He chooses who He wills to do His work. The Bible says, Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will. For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ (I Corinthians 12:4-12). God divides the gifts, and it’s the same with visitations, visions. God moves according to personalities. Some people would be puffed up if the Lord would visit them or speak to them audibly. Even some ministers develop such egotism from these things that they fall by the wayside. You must be humble before God and come to the place that a divine visitation from God doesn’t feed your ego. God’s visitations do not make you one bit better than any other child of God who has never had a visitation.

9. What does the scripture mean: And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down (Matthew 24:2)?

Answer: This is the prophecy of the destruction of the temple in Jerusalem that took place in AD 70.

10. What does I Corinthians 15:51 mean? Behold, I show you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed.

Answer: It means we won’t all die. We who are alive, baptized in the Holy Spirit and totally obedient to Jesus when He comes will be changed from our present bodies to a glorified form. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord (I Thessalonians 4:17).

11. Could Pilate have freed Jesus instead of freeing Barabbas? If so, would Jesus still have been crucified?

Answer: Yes to both questions. The death of Jesus had been prophesied in the Word of God, and what God says will come to pass. Jesus was to have been crucified. A wicked man, Pilate was in the position to free Jesus or crucify Him. His wife tried to stop him, but he went ahead anyway.

12. What happened to people as far as Heaven and hell are concerned before the Law was given?

Answer: If they died without God they went to hell. If they died with the Lord they went to Heaven. Christ preached to people who died before the flood. For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison; Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a-preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water (I Peter 3:18-20). Even those who died before the flood were given light to reach Heaven. After the flood, God dealt with people through the heads of families, and then later through the Law of Moses. Those who obeyed God are in Heaven, and those who disobeyed Him are not.

13. Is circumcision required for all males, Jews and Gentiles alike?

Answer: Circumcision today is for health purposes. Paul was very plain about circumcision: Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing. For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law. Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace. For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith. For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love (Galatians 5:2-6). As many as desire to make a fair show in the flesh, they constrain you to be circumcised; only lest they should suffer persecution for the cross of Christ. For neither they themselves who are circumcised keep the law; but desire to have you circumcised, that they may glory in your flesh. But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world. For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature (Galatians 6:12-15). Paul was saying that certain ones of those who were circumcised didn’t keep all the Law; they were just talking, criticizing, wanting people to be like they were, and they gloried in it when they were. To be circumcised doesn’t make either a boy or man holy. Is any man called being circumcised? let him not become uncircumcised. Is any called in uncircumcision? let him not be circumcised. Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but the keeping of the commandments of God (I Corinthians 7:18,19). In this grace dispensation, the Spirit of the living God is the important thing. Holiness comes from a pure heart. Jesus said that they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth (John 4:24).

14. What did Jesus mean by the word “bless” when He said to bless them that curse you (Matthew 5:44)?

Answer: How do you bless people? By showing love, by giving kindness. The Lord didn’t say you had to like your enemies, but to pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you (Matthew 5:44). Pray for their salvation: Oh God, don’t let them go to hell! God, save them! God doesn’t like the evil ways of people, and you don’t need to like those ways either, but you must love their souls. The soul came from God; ungodly ways come from the devil. Praying for your enemies doesn’t mean you need to fellowship with them—light and darkness have no fellowship. But if the problems come from your brother or sister in Christ Jesus, you need to be careful. You don’t have to be around them, but you should never go out of your way to avoid speaking to them. How would you feel if the Lord said He forgave you, but He didn’t ever want to be around you again? You must have enough God in you to be able to sincerely bless your enemies, enough love to not want them to be eternally destroyed. Remember how David responded to his enemy Saul, an enemy who sought to kill him: The LORD forbid that I should do this thing unto my master, the LORD’S anointed, to stretch forth mine hand against him, seeing he is the anointed of the LORD. So David stayed his servants with these words, and suffered them not to rise against Saul (I Samuel 24:6,7). David had more than one chance to kill Saul, but he would not put forth his hand against his enemy. God took care of Saul.

God gives a blessing spirit, a spirit that lifts up people and doesn’t cast them down. We are to bless others and put them into God’s hands.

15. Will the United States be one of the nations that go against Israel in the Battle of Armageddon?

Answer: The United States will not be going against Israel, but will be fighting for her. We are a nation good to the Jews, and so we are counted as one of the sheep nations.

16. How will the nations that go into the thousand-year reign, the Perfect Age, be able to escape the mark of the beast given in the Tribulation Period?

Answer: A lot of people will escape the mark of the beast in the Tribulation Period. The Antichrist will have more power and will rule with greater force in some sections of the world than in other sections. The nations that have been good to the Jews will have more protection against the mark.

17. Why do some believe the doctrine “Once in grace, always in grace?”

Answer: It gives people license to do whatever they want and still tell themselves they are going to Heaven. They think that once a person is saved he can do whatever he wants and still keep his salvation. That’s ridiculous! The devil loves that kind of message. It is not the message of the Word of God. Scriptures used to back up this doctrine are scriptures taken out of context. A person can backslide after he has received salvation, go back into sin and be lost, be out of grace. In that case, he needs to repent and renew his salvation. Jesus made it possible to live without sin after you receive salvation; in fact, being sin-free is a must if you expect to reach Heaven. The soul that sinneth, it shall die (Ezekiel 18:20).

18. Do people in Heaven know what is happening on Earth? Do they know when a soul is saved?

Answer: The angels rejoice over souls that come to the Lord, so why wouldn’t He let those in Heaven know if loved ones come to Him?

19. Are there degrees of punishment in hell? Will those in hell be aware of who is in Heaven?

Answer: The ones in hell will know who went to Heaven, but those in Heaven will not be conscious of the souls in hell. The Lord will erase Heaven’s memory of people in hell, will wipe away all tears.

There are degrees of punishment in hell. The righteous will be rewarded according to their works, and the unrighteous will be punished according to their works. God is a just God. Revelation 22:12, And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

20. Can angels in Heaven sin?

Answer: No. They have made their choice for God and that choice will not be changed. That final decision to go with God rather than with Lucifer came when Lucifer was cast out of Heaven along with the angels who followed him. Just as they made their choice, we on Earth are making our choice: God or damnation. We are free to choose now, but after death, we will have no more choice. Never again will sin be found in Heaven.

21. Why does God allow the devil to come before Him to accuse the brethren?

Answer: The Lord still deals with the devil; He hands out punishments to the devil’s kingdom. The Lord has contact with the devil. There are times, I’m sure, the devil doesn’t want to come before God, and God forces him. When God begins to tell the devil how things really are, the devil accuses the righteous and holy. The Lord lets him see that his accusations have no effect. God doesn’t believe one thing the devil says.

In Job we read that the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it (Job 1:7). The devil had been walking the earth, seeking whom he could devour. But in Revelation we read that the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night (Revelation 12:10). In the Tribulation Period the devil will be defeated, no longer be prince of the air or able to accuse the brethren any more.

22. Why doesn’t the Lord just kill the devil right now so we could have peace on Earth?

Answer: The devil’s destiny is written in the Word of God, and God is not going to change His Word. The devil will be cast into the bottomless pit for one thousand years, let loose for a season when he will gather from all nations those who prefer him over the Lord. As Satan and his army come against Jerusalem, God will send fire from heaven to destroy them; and then he and all his followers will be cast into the lake of fire forever. Revelation 20:7-10: And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them. And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

23. Why didn’t God imprison the devil and his angels before Adam and Eve were created?

Answer: God made man with free choice, a creation in the image of Himself. God has a soul; He gave Adam a soul. God has an infinite mind; He gave Adam a miniature mind. God has hands, feet; He gave Adam feet and hands. God moves at will; He gave man the ability to move at will. God wanted man to have free choice. He wanted man to worship Him because man loved Him, not because he had no other choice. He wanted man to worship Him, love Him, bow to Him and Him only.

It takes at least two things to provide a choice, and Adam and Eve were given a choice between God and the devil. Had man no choice, he would have had to serve God like a zombie. The angels had a choice in Heaven before Lucifer’s fall, and some chose not to go with God. Free choice is so valuable that man and woman did not lose it even after they sinned. We all have choice between God and the devil. Jesus came to buy back everything lost in the fall of man, but He didn’t have to buy back free choice. The time comes for everyone to make that final choice: God or the devil.

24. Are angels, like men’s souls, a part of the breath of God?

Answer: God made Adam out of the dust of the earth and breathed into his body a miniature soul like His own. The angels, too, have souls. If angels did not have souls, those who fell with Lucifer would have been cast straight into hell and burned up like animals. The soul makes them eternal. The fallen angels will be eternally in the lake of fire one day, just like lost human souls. The soul is the part that can never die.

25. Do demons stay in families?

Answer: They stay in families as much as they can. If a child has not been taught about God, if good character and discipline have not been instilled in that one, the child is open to demon possession. Alcoholics, for example, often have children who also become alcoholics. Diseases such as cancer, sugar diabetes, heart trouble can run in families. Having a disease certainly does not mean a person is devil possessed, but diseases do not come from God; they come from the devil. Always remember that God’s power is greater than the devil’s power, and God has power over any disease or affliction. God is in the business of giving miracles.

26. Can demons stay in animals for long periods of time?

Answer: They don’t want to stay in animals; they prefer to be in humans. The devil is well organized, making demons obey him and punishing them if they don’t.

27. That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish (Ephesians 5:27). What is a blemish?

Answer: A blemish is a tiny foreign particle in your skin or in your spirit. All sin, all deceit must be out of your spirit and soul. A little deceit makes a tiny blemish. The Lord is coming after a people without spot, wrinkle, blemish or any such thing. Adam and Eve committed only one sin, and they lost everything. One sin, no matter how small, will cause you to lose everything, too, all of Heaven: the soul that sinneth, it shall die (Ezekiel 18:4). Jesus made it possible through His shed blood for us to live free of sin, free of spots, wrinkles, blemishes or any such thing. The Groom, Jesus, is saying to the Bride: Thou art all fair, my love; there is no spot in thee (Song of Solomon 4:7).

28. Will God ever start another Earth?

Answer: Revelation 21:1, And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. The Lord will at last have His Garden of Eden on the new Earth, and His children will live in it. There was no curse in Eden until man gave over to the devil. In the new Earth there will be no curse at all. Revelation 22:2-4, In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads. Not a tree of forbidden fruit, but a tree of life will flourish in the new Earth, and its leaves will be for the healing of the nations. How wonderful to live in an Eden where the throne of God and the Lamb will be! This Eden will be greater than the first Eden.

29. The people who die without ever having the chance to hear the message of salvation—will they go to Heaven?

Answer: If that were so, why would Jesus tell us to go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned (Mark 16:15,16)? Why should I spend all this effort on foreign crusades if people who don’t know about the Gospel will go to Heaven anyway? Fulfilling the great commission is our responsibility. We must do what Jesus told us to do. It will take the blood of Jesus for people to enter Heaven. Every plan of God is just. If all the heathen would be saved without the Gospel, why did Jesus give His life for it? He died for everyone and we must carry the burden of taking His message to the lost. The Bible says, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God (John 3:3). Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved (Acts 4:12).

30. When does a person actually blaspheme the Holy Spirit? Can grieving the Spirit turn into blaspheming?

Answer: You can grieve, reject, insult the Holy Spirit until He ceases to deal with you altogether. If you don’t want Him, one day He won’t want you. When a person blasphemes the Holy Spirit, there is no forgiveness for that one. Jesus said, And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come (Matthew 12:32). Many people have blasphemed against the Holy Ghost by their ungodly ways, by hypocrisy. Ministers pretending to be holy men of God and yet leading ungodly lives have blasphemed. Their consciences are seared.

31. Can Satan create more demons? Can God create more angels?

Answer: The devil cannot create more fallen angels, but he can create different kinds of demons. He creates that which is sinful, bad. He has created leeches of the mind and other kinds of demonic spirits. But when it comes to the strongest devils, those are the fallen angels; and he cannot create those.

Has God created more angels? He didn’t tell us He would or that He had. We don’t know. That which God has not said, we do not know about. If He wants more angels, He certainly can create them. God’s children do not enter Heaven as angels, but as His born-again sons and daughters born into the family of God through the blood of Jesus, human beings with glorified bodies. What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels (Psalm 8:4,5). Although we are made a little lower than the angels, we will be able to move in Heaven as the angels move; we will enjoy all the benefits of Heaven just as they do, and we will serve the Lord as the angels serve Him.

32. How does one take everything to the Word of God?

Answer: By applying the Word to everything, giving it the Word-test. If any subject doesn’t match the Word, if there is any disharmony at all, it fails the test. To help you do this, you need the baptism in the Holy Ghost, for He is the teacher, the guide, the instructor.

33. The Bible says that we should not be forsaking the assembling of ourselves together (Hebrews 10:25). When one lives in an area of dead churches and false doctrine, what can one do?

Answer: If you can’t find a Jesus fellowship with people, then make fellowship with Jesus in your prayer closet and continue to look for a place where the truth of God is preached. Make sure you yourself have the knowledge of the truth. If you are honest-hearted, the Lord will show you where to go. He will not direct you to where false doctrine is preached. When the Lord cannot find a true Gospel church for you, He will send you to the prayer closet and He will meet you there.

34. First Peter 2:13-15: Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme; Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well. For so is the will of God, that with well-doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men. Does this mean that if you break one of man’s laws you are really sinning against God?

Answer: There is a difference between sin and disobeying man’s rule. If you break a law of man that also happens to be a law of God, you have sinned. Know what sin is. Some people think faults are sin. Sin is knowing God’s will and deliberately going against it, breaking God’s law and not caring. To break man’s law isn’t necessarily sinful. Man has many laws, and they often change. God isn’t like that. His “Thou shalt not’s” have not changed. You should abide by the law, of course; but going through a twenty-five mile an hour zone at thirty miles an hour is not sin.

35. When Jesus asked the Father to glorify Him with the glory He had before the world, did Jesus actually remember Heaven or was He speaking wholly by faith?

Answer: Jesus was speaking wholly by what He remembered. He knew who He was and where He came from. Jesus knew He was the Son of God and that He had been in Heaven with the Father for countless ages. He had to lay aside His glory to come down to Earth for you and me.

36. How can I be sure I’m really saved?

Answer: Take your soul to the Word of God and see. Are you indulging in any of the seventeen works of the flesh listed in Galatians five? Do you know the definition of each work? Have you asked Jesus to forgive you of your sins and come into your heart? The blood of Jesus is the foundation of salvation and eternal life.

37. How can we know we will be taken in the Rapture?

Answer: We know through the Bible. We will be changed according to the power that worketh in us (Ephesians 3:20). The power working within is the power of the Holy Ghost. We need that power to change us. The obedient receive the Holy Ghost: the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him (Acts 5:32). Jesus is coming after a Church not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish (Ephesians 5:27). When you receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost, He will help you be rid of all the spots, wrinkles, blemishes and any such thing. You not only need the Holy Spirit baptism with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues, you need to be yielded to the Holy Spirit totally. Your speech will be His, not your own, a speech like those in the Upper Room received on the Day of Pentecost: And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance (Acts 2:4). No one will teach you to speak in tongues at will; it will be the real Holy Ghost speaking. It won’t be a flesh experience, but a Bible experience. Receiving the Holy Ghost is a commandment of Christ; He is coming after those who are obedient. Jesus commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which saith he, ye have heard of me. For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence (Acts 1:4,5). If ye love me, keep my commandments (John 14:15).

38. Can you be raptured if you have any leeches in your mind but not in your soul?

Answer: Do you think Christ had any leeches? Do you think Stephen and Paul had leeches? Jesus brought the remedy to be rid of all leeches, all spirits unlike Him, to be rid of anything that would hinder you in any way. You will not be excused for leeches because Jesus made the way for you to be leech-free.

39. Why did God wait so long to send Jesus?

Answer: Do you think God was eager to see His beloved Son crucified? God tried everything He could to bring man back into His fellowship. He tried dealing with the heads of families; it didn’t work. He tried the Law: neither did that work. As a last resort, God gave Jesus. If Jesus doesn’t work for you, God has nothing more to give. The Old Testament’s types and shadows of Jesus are now living realities.

40. Will the unsaved people who live through the Tribulation Period have a chance to receive Christ as their Savior?

Answer: They will have a chance in the Tribulation Period to receive Jesus, but we have no record that they will have a chance to saved during the Perfect Age of one thousand years.

41. What are the keys to death, hell and the grave?

Answer: Jesus Christ and the power of His resurrection. Jesus left death behind when He walked out of the tomb. He conquered hell for us; He conquered the grave for us and brought victory for us through the power in His blood, His divine blood. In salvation you have the keys to unlock all the treasures of Heaven and to lock all the doors against the devil.

42. What does this scripture mean: Whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven (Matthew 16:19)?

Answer: The Word of God and the blood of Jesus are what we use to set people free. What we bind with the Word of God, with the blood of Jesus is bound for all eternity. What we can set free with the Word of God and the blood is free on Earth and honored by all the powers of Heaven.

43. First John 4:2 states, Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God. Can’t the devil confess this, too?

Answer: Yes, he can say it with his mouth, but he doesn’t believe it in his heart. The Bible says, That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved (Romans 10:9). With that confession must come belief. No one scripture is of a private interpretation. In other words, take all the scriptures on a subject together to get the full meaning.

44. Why in Mark 16:7 did the angel make the distinction between the disciples and Peter? …tell his disciples and Peter. I thought Peter was a disciple.

Answer: Peter was one of Jesus’ disciples, but Peter left Him when he cursed and denied Him at the time of the Crucifixion. Peter had backslidden and forfeited the right to be a disciple. Jesus knew how the denial had tormented Peter, that he had wept bitterly. After the Resurrection Jesus wanted Peter to know He had forgiven him. When Jesus referred to the disciples, He included Peter, letting him know He still loved him and wanted him to be a part of His Kingdom.

45. When Jesus sent out His disciples, why did He instruct them not to go to the Gentiles? These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not: But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel (Matthew 10:5,6).

Answer: The Jews were God’s chosen people; they had first chance. When the Jews as a whole wouldn’t accept Jesus as the Messiah, the Son of God, the Lord offered salvation to the Gentiles, adopting them into the family of God.

46. What was the purpose of Job’s testing when the Lord said he was perfect?

Answer: It doesn’t mean you have imperfections when you are tested and tried. The Bible says, Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you (I Peter 4:12). The Lord gives faith and then He tries it. Daniel was not backslidden when he was thrown into the den of lions, but his faith took him through. The three Hebrew boys were not cast into the fiery furnace because they were backslidden, and God honored their devotion to Him. The Lord puts His children on front-line duty. A faith that isn’t tried is not the faith of God. A love that isn’t tried is not the love of God. Jesus said, In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world (John 16:33).

47. When a person commits a crime and is confined in prison or a mental hospital, what do the demons that caused him to commit the crime do during the period of confinement?

Answer: They torture the person, get him ready to commit the same kind of crime again if he has the chance. Unless the person is delivered, the demons stay in the person. A devil-possessed person becomes whatever the demons possessing him are. A demon or demons take a person over, and the person is not satisfied unless he does what the demons want done. If the demons have a desire to kill, the person has that desire. If the demons have a desire to rape, the person has that desire. The devil uses human beings to do his work, and it grieves the heart of God. Children of God, we must fast more, pray more to deliver all the devil-possessed who want to be delivered in this last and final hour.

48. When mental spirits take over a person, sometimes medicines can restore his mind. How does this work? Does the devil lift his spirits from that person when medicine is applied?

Answer: When the body is in good condition, it can resist mental devils. But when some part of the body isn’t functioning right, it is vulnerable to the devil. The devil takes advantage of every weakness he can. Sickness in the body can weaken the mind, and the enemy can take over. Sickness does not mean that the person has committed sin; it means that the enemy took advantage of a weakness in the body. Elderly people can be susceptible to mental confusion when their bodies become weak, and their minds no longer function right. If you feel the enemy is closing in with illness in any way, it is important to rise up and refuse to give in to it. My Aunt Dovie, who was way up in years, told me that she would have been just like other elderly whose minds were confused, but when the confusion started she recognized it as a takeover of the mind. She rose up against it with the Spirit of God and refused to give into the devil. Like Aunt Dovie, you don’t need to accept what the devil strives to give you. You can have a sound mind; it’s the will of God for you to have it. Why not have what God wants you to have?

49. Why did Satan contend with the archangel Michael over the body of Moses?

Answer: At one time Moses neglected to sanctify God, and because of it, he was not allowed to enter the land of Canaan. The devil, however, decided to defy God and claim the body of Moses because of that one lapse. God had forgiven Moses, and he bore no mark of the devil. The angel said, The Lord rebuke thee (Jude 1:9), and the angels buried Moses.

A Message from the Holy Spirit

Thus said the Lord: Open your ears, open your ears to what the Spirit is saying. Listen not to the opinions of man. Man will weaken you. Man will turn you from my course. Man will take you out of my will. Man will defeat you. Heed what I am telling you. I am giving my people direct words from my own mouth in this final hour, words of power and victory and strength. Do not let your heart be troubled when people are seeking to defeat you, when people are trying to pull you out into darkness and away from my will. Trust in me with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding. Let me talk to you. Do not be influenced by others. Let me talk to you. I am your God; I am your Lord. I know the path I want you to take. I know what I want you to do. I know all that I want you to do, and I am leading you into my paths of righteousness. I am leading you beside my still waters. And I am leading you in the direction that you should go. And do not turn to the left; do not turn to the right. Obey me. Listen to what I am saying. I am manifesting myself. I am revealing myself in this last and final hour. Don’t let the enemy defeat you, and don’t let man defeat you. Be what I want you to be, and I will use you. And I will make you a power for m in this last and final hour. In the beginning of the Church, my people listened to me, my people obeyed me, my people did not go by man’s opinions; they went by my will and my will only. Walk in my will. Obey my will, and deliverance will be yours daily and you will have victory over all the powers of darkness that surround you. And you won’t have to be afraid of anyone, man or devil. And as you look to me, I will give my greatness to you and you will serve my greatness to the people. You’re now in your last hour. Be careful with this hour. Be careful with every moment of this hour. Every time you fail me, you lose strength. Every time you fail me, you lose love. Every time you fail me, you lose faith, and you can’t afford to lose any of my greatness in this last hour. Look unto me and obey me and walk in the way that I am showing you, and I will show mighty wonders, saith the Lord.
