Friend, time not only counts on Earth but in Heaven as well. Day to day, we are so dependent on time; and so much of our lives are dictated by Earth’s clock. We get out of bed at a certain time so we can be at work by a certain time. All appointments we make are set by Earth’s clock, yet how much of your life is dictated by Heaven’s time? Children of God will come up short in their relationship with divinity and miss out on many blessings if they are not conscious of Heaven’s clock.
You must always remember that Heaven’s clock is not synchronized with Earth’s clock. To illustrate this point, I take you to the 11th chapter of John’s Gospel. Lazarus fell sick unto death, and Lazarus’ sisters sent word to Jesus to come and heal him; but Jesus did not arrive until four days after Lazarus had died. Lazarus’ friends and loved ones believed Jesus was too late by the time He arrived at Lazarus’ tomb; but even while He was on Earth, Jesus lived His life by Heaven’s time. He was four days late by Earth’s clock, but Heaven’s clock declared He was right on time. That is why Jesus could stand before Lazarus’ tomb and boldly proclaim, “Father, you always hear me”; and it was confirmed when Lazarus walked out of the tomb.
Child of God, be careful to stay on time with Heaven or you will get ahead of God; and then you will think, say and do a lot of the wrong things. God moves according to His divine will, and His will includes not only “what” but “when.” Timing can mean everything with God, and that is why the Bible instructs us to be anxious for nothing and to wait upon the Lord. But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint (Isaiah 40:31). If you want to receive Heaven’s best and to mount up above the storms of life with eagles’ wings, you must learn to patiently wait upon the Lord.
Friend, we live in the final hour. Heaven’s clock is pointing to all the end-time signs being fulfilled around us every day, signs that Jesus, the Apostle Paul and other prophets declared would take place before the Rapture. Jesus is coming soon, and the hand of Heaven’s clock is about to strike midnight! Children of God must hurry to bring in the harvest. We must win every soul God has marked for us to win.
The Bible tells us, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil (Ephesians 5:16). The Bride of Christ will make her time on Earth count for Heaven. She will not allow Earth’s clock to consume her time with the cares of life and with unnecessary obligations to those around her. She will consider Heaven’s clock every day and give time to her Lord. You will not keep in time with Heaven unless you redeem your time on Earth for God. Only then will your life be on time with Heaven’s clock. Jesus warned, For in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh (Matthew 24:44). God has set an hour for Jesus to come and get His Bride—a people without spot, wrinkle, blemish or any such thing. That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish (Ephesians 5:27).
You must be born again and live free from all sin. You must be filled with the Holy Ghost according to Acts 2:4: And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. The Holy Ghost was sent to Earth for the purpose of preparing a Bride for Jesus. We do not know exactly when Jesus will return, but the Holy Ghost does; and as you daily yield to Him, He will make sure you are ready to meet the Lord in the air.
