And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon [the devil]; and the dragon fought and his angels (Revelation 12:7). God is unveiling Himself, uncovering the devil for us because it’s going to be war, war, war, war, saith the Lord. God, His people and the heavenly angels stand against the devil and his angels in this last hour, war on earth and war in Heaven. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places (Ephesians 6:12). This is the power of Lucifer and the fallen angels.

He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil (I John 3:8). In Old Testament times men had little power to deliver the devil possessed. So often without the cooperation of man, God worked to set the captive free; but a new day broke forth when Jesus brought deliverance through His shed blood, a day we are still in. Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil. Sickness belongs to the devil as well as all sin. Sickness is not of God, for every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning (James 1:17).

We read in the Old Testament that the Lord told Moses, They shall no more offer their sacrifices unto devils, after whom they have gone a whoring. This shall be a statute for ever unto them throughout their generations (Leviticus 17:7). Oh, how God’s heart has been grieved to see His people worship the devil!

They sacrificed unto devils, not to God; to gods whom they knew not, to new gods that came newly up, whom your fathers feared not (Deuteronomy 32:17). These are the accusations of the Lord against His people. And he ordained him priests for the high places, and for the devils, and for the calves which he had made (II Chronicles 11:15). Jeroboam, King of Israel ordained priests for the devils. Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters unto devils (Psalm 106:37). That same hideous demonic power is in operation throughout the world today, devil worship.

Power over Demonic Spirits

Jesus brought deliverance to all who would yield: And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them (Matthew 4:24). This is the first time a man had come to really show power over demonic spirits, a man who delivered all who wanted deliverance. Jesus was very man as well as very God. Savior, Redeemer, Son of the living God, Jesus gave His people power to trample the devil and keep him conquered as far as their own lives are concerned.

Jesus said, And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover (Mark 16:17,18).

Down through the years, the Church of Jesus Christ has failed; but the Bride will not fail, saith the Lord, in this her final hour. She will go forth to do His mighty works in the greatness of her Master. Close to God, she will speak and the devil will have to respect what she says because it will be the voice of the Lord going through her, saith the Lord, to the demonic powers. They will have to obey. How wonderful to know that our Lord with all His greatness, all His power will do so much through His people in this last hour!

When the even was come, they brought unto him [Jesus] many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick (Matthew 8:16). Churches today need this miracle power of Jesus; it should be in all of them—the healing of the sick, the casting out of devils, signs that follow those who believe. Wherever true believers are, the sick are being healed and devils cast out. If these things are not being done, there is a lack of true Bible believers. To be a true Bible believer, you must fast, pray and live close to God.

Jesus, after casting out devils from a child whom His disciples had not been able to deliver, said, Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting (Matthew 17:21). A real Bible believer will practice Bible fasting. You won’t have power over demonic spirits unless you fast. As the Son of God, Jesus didn’t need to fast; but as the Son of man it was a necessity. He is our example, paving the way for us to follow in His steps.

When the Lord calls anyone to the healing ministry, He calls through the spirit of fasting, a spirit of being set apart. A price is to be paid to have any one of the nine gifts of the Spirit. You must set aside your life completely, giving yourself one hundred percent to God.

Many, deceived, have claimed to have gifts. To have a gift of the Spirit operate through a person, the person must be totally dedicated to the Lord, fasting much, in prayer without ceasing and living in the presence of God.

And when he [Jesus] was come to the other side into the country of the Gergesenes, there met him two possessed with devils (Matthew 8:28). In this verse, two men met Jesus; but Luke and Mark only mention one man. Why? No discrepancy. One man was more ferocious than the other. Matthew mentions both; Mark and Luke simply wrote about the ferocious man whom the devils talked through to Jesus.

And they came over unto the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes. And when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit, Who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains: Because that he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any man tame him (Mark 5:1-4). So much demonic power raged in this man that he could break the chains and fetters into pieces. He was wild, wilder than any animal; no one could handle him.

And always, night and day, he was in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones (Mark 5:5). The devils that possessed this man, soul, mind and body, delighted in his condition. What a habitation of demons! But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him (verse 6). Deep down inside, the wild man, horribly tortured by demons, wanted deliverance.

If I can shine the light of God, the light of the truth into a devil-possessed soul just a tiny bit, suddenly through the Holy Spirit I can take control over the demons in that soul and they have to come out. If any desire for God whatsoever is in a devil-possessed person, that one can be set free by the power of God, through the power in the name of Jesus. No stronger power exists in the Kingdom of God than the power God gives to cast out demons and to handle Lucifer. I’m a different person when the power comes on me to cast out devils; I don’t know the end of my strength. My eyes become different the moment the Spirit of God goes into them. My whole being seems to change as God’s power and authority come upon me and I speak in the name of Jesus to those devils. I’m not speaking to a person; I’m speaking directly to demons, to devils, commanding them to come out in the name of Lord.

But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him, And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not (Mark 5:6,7). These were devils talking through the man they possessed, but something in the man’s spirit cried out to Jesus. For he [Jesus] said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit. And he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are many (verses 8,9).

Why did Jesus ask the devils who they were? He was showing the authority He had over all demonic spirits, proving to the people that He was the very Son of God with all power over God’s archenemy, Lucifer. Jesus made them identify themselves when they didn’t want to.

And he besought him much that he would not send them away out of the country (Mark 5:10). Not only did the devils recognize Jesus to be the Son of God, but they pleaded with Him, fell down as though they were worshiping Him. Why? They wanted to keep the man they possessed in deceit; but when they fell down to let on as though they were going to worship the Lord, they ended up begging Jesus to be lenient with them. The Spirit of God had gotten into the man, and Jesus recognized the cry in his heart for deliverance.

Now there was there nigh unto the mountains a great herd of swine feeding. And all the devils besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them (Mark 5:11,12). Fearing they would be cast into hell ahead of their time, knowing Jesus had all power and could immediately send them there, the devils also knew there was no need to ask to go into people; Jesus would not have allowed it.

And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, (they were about two thousand;) and were choked in the sea (Mark 5:13). The hogs choked, not the devils who avoided being cast into hell or into whatever confinement the Lord would have chosen.

If one devil went into each pig, at least two thousand devils had possessed the man. There may have been many more. The whole city came out to see such an amazing sight. Jesus wanted people to witness the manifestation of demons because many did not believe in demonic powers. Did they rejoice that the man was delivered? No, they wanted to be rid of Jesus. They loved pigs more than they loved souls. They didn’t care that the man was sitting, clothed and in his right mind.

When I received the gift of discerning of spirits, many people didn’t believe in it. I remember so well that first crusade in which the gift began to operate, and the Lord let a devil-possessed man be uncovered. The devils would rise up within the man, swell out his neck, and then go back. I had never before seen anything like that. I would command them to come out, and they would swell his neck—not a tiny bit—and return because he loved the power of the devil more than being delivered. He could have been delivered; the Lord tried to deliver him. The Lord let the people see that the man really was devil-possessed, but still some did not believe it; they thought I had lost my mind.

The Lord lets the devil manifest himself in different ways. It is astounding to deal with demonic powers, and only through the power in the blood of Jesus does deliverance come. Many times in the Gospels we read of devils being cast out.

The Pharisees said, He casteth out devils through the prince of the devils (Matthew 9:34). The church leaders of that day tried to turn people away from the fact that Jesus was the true Christ.

When people told Jesus He had a devil in Him He answered, I have not a devil; but I honour my Father, and ye do dishonour me. Then said the Jews unto him, Now we know that thou hast a devil. Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and thou sayest, If a man keep my saying, he shall never taste of death (John 8:49,52). The Jews talking to Jesus had no knowledge of who He really was. They knew more about the devil than they knew about Jesus because they were walking with the devil. You see what Jesus was up against? The devil worked in every way he could to keep people deceived.

And many of them said, He hath a devil, and is mad; why hear ye him (John 10:20)? Jesus called his accusers hypocrites. He uncovered them—and the devil as well. The hypocrites didn’t want Jesus, didn’t want His deliverance or the truth. You must want the truth and not deceit. Jesus said, know the truth, and the truth shall make you free (John 8:32). In this last hour, the Lord again is uncovering false doctrine and demons.

Then was brought unto him one possessed with a devil, blind, and dumb: and he healed him, insomuch that the blind and dumb both spake and saw. But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils (Matthew 12:22,24). Jesus pointed out: And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your sons cast them out? therefore shall they be your judges. But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you (Luke 11:19,20). Jesus cast out devils with God’s little finger. God was not using His whole hand on these devils, just His finger. Imagine what an insult that was to the devil! The devil is not strong when he comes under the power of God.

Beelzebub, a name which means god of insects, also is a name for a fly. Jesus calls the devil Beelzebub, nothing but a worthless fly, when He answers the Pharisees.

Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity (Matthew 7:22,23). Devil-possessed people many times claim to belong to Jesus, but they are not a part of Him. They do not prophesy through the Spirit of God but through the spirit of the devil. On the Day of Judgment of the Lord will tell them it’s a lie, they haven’t prophesied in His name, haven’t cast out devils or healed any sick in His name. “Depart from me,” He will say. The devil deceives unholy people into thinking they really are casting out devils, but Jesus said, How can Satan cast out Satan? If Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end (Mark 3:23,26). Think on the things the Bible tells us, the powerful words of Jesus. He did cast out the devils; the Kingdom of God had come upon them. Many rejected the Kingdom and missed Heaven.

And he preached in their synagogues throughout all Galilee, and cast out devils (Mark 1:39). It’s amazing the many, many times the Gospels record that Jesus cast out devils. How can ministers preach month after month, year after year and never mention the casting out of devils? Throughout the Gospels we read of the casting out of devils, the devils crying out. The Lord wants His people to know about demons and devils, and yet as often as they are mentioned in the Scripture and in spite of the way Jesus daily handled them, few churches teach the casting out of devils. Neither is divine healing stressed. Jesus healed people coming and going. How many churches have services in which people are actually healed and delivered?

And at even, when the sun did set, they brought unto him all that were diseased, and them that were possessed with devils (Mark 1:32). How sad that the Church has failed to follow in Jesus’ steps of deliverance! But in this last hour, God will have a true people to work His signs and wonders through; and God will move and God will deliver.

In Matthew 10:8 we read that Jesus sent the twelve forth with power to carry out His instructions to heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give. The twelve returned with this report: they cast out many devils, and anointed with oil many that were sick, and healed them (Mark 6:13).

After the disciples received the Holy Ghost at Pentecost, they no longer anointed with oil. The oil was used as a point of contact until the gifts became that contact. Before I received the gifts of God, I anointed with oil; but I never felt led to anoint with oil from the time I received the gifts.

We have no record that the apostles anointed with oil after Pentecost. They commanded the miracles done, spoke them done as Jesus had. At the Gate Beautiful Peter simply said to a man crippled from birth, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. And he leaping up stood, and walked (Acts 3:6-8). When the disciples had the power, the gifts of God, they gave commands, took authority over sickness, disease and devil possession, did the work of the Lord just like Jesus had. Jesus, remember, told them that signs would follow believers.

And devils also came out of many, crying out, and saying, Thou art Christ the Son of God. And he rebuking them suffered them not to speak: for they knew that he was Christ (Luke 4:41). Jesus didn’t want devils testifying for Him, to be witnesses for Him. He hated to hear their voices coming through a human, and because He had complete control, the devils had to be quiet. The Lord will make witnesses. The devil has nothing to do with witnessing for the Lord. God doesn’t recognize it. Many Christians don’t believe the devil exists, don’t live in a condition they can handle demonic powers.

A woman which had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary called Magdalene, out of whom went seven devils (Luke 8:2). When even one devil takes over, he degrades a personality. Seven devils certainly made a degraded creature, but Mary Magdalene was set free, born new in Christ Jesus. She was the one who preached the first message of the Resurrection; she was chosen to preach it. Regardless of how many devils once possessed a person, when Jesus comes in it’s the same to Him as though that one were never devil possessed. That’s the wonderful part of the blood, why Jesus came—to deliver and not hold sins against the forgiven souls.

And John answered and said, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name; and we forbad him, because he followeth not with us. And Jesus said unto him, Forbid him not: for he that is not against us is for us (Luke 9:49,50). The disciples were shocked.

In Luke 13:32, Jesus calls King Herod a fox. And he said unto them, Go ye, and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and I do cures to day and to morrow, and the third day I shall be perfected. The rulers esteemed themselves highly, but Jesus knew Herod was a deceiving, conniving creature. Vipers, snakes, whited sepulchers were some of the names Jesus had for hypocrites. He was mild-spoken to those with honest hearts but stern to those who had the devil in them, those who had taken on the personality of the devil.

But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils (I Corinthians 10:20). Until the Gentiles found the Lord, they were sacrificing to devils. But those who became disciples and apostles for the Lord, adopted into the family of God, went forth to heal the sick and cast out devils.

Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord’s table, and of the table of devils (I Corinthians 10:21). Some say people cannot separate from sin; but if they don’t, they belong at the devil’s table, not God’s. No sin is served at God’s table, no sin in the hearts of those feasting with the Lord.

Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils (I Timothy 4:1). Doctrines of devils influence many today to bring forth false teachings. We are in the final hour, and people have given heed to seducing spirits, thinking they have the right doctrine, the real truth, when all the while they are embracing doctrines of devils and living in sin.

Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble (James 2:19). The Lord wants us to know that the demons are afraid of Him and His power, afraid of His Word. They believe in God; they know who He is. At one time they were in Heaven with Him.

And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk: Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts (Revelation 9:20,21). All the plagues these sinners will endure will not move them to repent. When people are devil possessed, God is helpless to deliver them unless a desire for deliverance, no matter how slim, flickers in their souls. The unrepentant will be cast into hell. If God can’t get the devil out of people, the whole container is going into hell, into the lake of fire.

Jesus was casting out a devil, and it was dumb. And it came to pass, when the devil was gone out, the dumb spake; and the people wondered (Luke 11:14). I remember well a man who came to my service some years ago, totally blind in one eye. The Lord said to ask him if he was saved. “Are you saved?” I asked. The devil answered through him, “Yes, I’m saved!” The Lord spoke through me, “Do you believe in the blood of Jesus?” The devil shot back, “No! I don’t believe in the blood!” The Spirit of God came upon me, and I cried, “Thou foul devil: Come out of this man!” When the devil went out of him, the man instantly received his sight. Bible days are here. The Lord is doing the very same works that He did when He walked on Earth.

Judas once was saved. The Bible says Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place (Acts 1:25). Judas could not have fallen had he not once been in the grace of God. Judas backslid. Then entered Satan into Judas surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve (Luke 22:3). If Satan had already been in Judas, he wouldn’t have had to enter at this time. Judas was one of the twelve disciples who had power with the Lord to cast out devils and heal the sick. And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease (Matthew 10:1). Jesus said, remember, that one devil could not cast out another devil.

Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil (John 6:70)? Jesus is not calling Judas the devil but saying that the devil is in him.

No prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation (II Peter 1:20). In other words, fit all scriptures on a specific subject together to get the meaning. Keep this verse in mind throughout the series on the mysteries of God. People have gotten into false doctrine by isolating scriptures and not putting them together.

And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat (Luke 22:31). We must be the wheat and not the chaff that the wind driveth away.

Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it (John 8:44). Jesus told all about Lucifer, exposed him, so you will know your enemy the devil. For if you don’t know him, he will deceive you in many ways.

Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience (Ephesians 2:2). That same spirit of disobedience works today in a great way. Neither give place to the devil (Ephesians 4:27). Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil (Ephesians 6:11). Some preachers deal with the devil on such a small scale, one would think he didn’t exist. By covering up his involvement, the devil has been able to destroy homes. Without the truth, people are spiritually blind. Christian America as a whole does not have much true Christianity.

Wherefore we would have come unto you, even I Paul, once and again; but Satan hindered us (I Thessalonians 2:18). Can the devil hinder people? Some laugh at the idea, even Christians. But the great apostle Paul said Satan hindered. Realize that the devil will hinder you when you are trying to do God’s work, something good. For this cause, when I could no longer forbear, I sent to know your faith, lest by some means the tempter have tempted you, and our labour be in vain (I Thessalonians 3:5). Paul, writing to one of the churches wanted to know if they still held to the faith or if they had let the Tempter draw them into backsliding.

Jesus appeared to Paul for the purpose of making him a minister and witness, to open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me (Acts 26:18). For people to be born new they must be turned from the power of Satan by the truth so they can go into God’s power, but the Holy Spirit cannot work with those the devil has so cunningly deceived.

Before sin was found in his heart, Lucifer was in Heaven with God. He knows the strategy of God, how God has worked and will work. He knows what God will do and what He won’t do, but the devil had not known about the plan of salvation before Jesus brought it. Not knowing what to expect from Jesus when He was on Earth, the devil spent time learning everything he could about salvation, how to counterfeit it, how to deceive people into thinking they were saved when they were not. His strategy is to deceive people just a tiny bit at first, and then to keep adding more seeds of deceit. Every time he can get someone to disobey or rebel against God, another seed of deceit is added. Finally people are in such conditions they deceive themselves, their own hearts. They think they are living for God when they aren’t. Some of them will not open their eyes to the truth until they wake up in hell.

Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out (John 12:31). The Holy Ghost has come, great power against the devil, bringing the chilling message of the judgment of the world, the judgment of Lucifer. Lucifer, the prince of this world, will be defeated, cast into the bottomless pit and then into the lake of fire.

John 16:11, speaking of one of the works of the Holy Ghost, said, The prince of this world is judged. The Holy Spirit has all liberty and freedom to judge the devil; He recognizes the strategy of the devil and can give you all the knowledge you need concerning him. He knows when the devil is plotting, working against you, how the devil will attack you ahead of time. He knows your war, your coming valleys. The Holy Spirit keeps up with the devil, and the devil cannot hide his plans. It’s essential that you have the Holy Ghost abiding within to be your teacher, your guide, and that you yield to Him as He prepares you today for tomorrow.

One of the great frustrations of the devil is that God knows everything about him and what he will do. The devil, on the other hand, does not know all of God’s plan.

Ward Off the Devil

It is wonderful to have the Holy Ghost dwelling inside, preparing you for the devil’s attack. The Lord will even give you warning when the devil seeks to attack you with sickness so you can ward him off—if you will take note. Learn these things and know the devil is going to try to afflict your body.

My mother learned how cunning the devil was and how to defeat him. She taught me his devices, how he sought to afflict. She kept me conscious of his ways. It amazes me today to look back at her wisdom; it had to have come from God. If I said, “Mom, feel my head.” She would respond, “All right, the devil’s going to try you, Son. You’d better be getting up your faith.” I got ready. Mom said the devil was coming after me to try to make me sick. Again and again as a child I got ready to fight the devil. Mama said it and I believed it. It was just like the voice of God. Mama knew. She lived with God, and she knew where the devil was coming from. It saved me many, many times when others were sick. When the flu was raging, I would be in school, healthy. Mama headed the devil off. Mama rebuked the fever and told me to get up my faith. I decided I would not be sick, not miss school. I walked in that faith as a little boy. God was so merciful to me, so good. It was because of my mother.

How many times have you warned your children about the devil? You can when you learn his strategy. My mom was a person who loved Jesus with all her heart, and she looked to Him for her help. Through the Holy Spirit she directed me.

God will let you know how to head off the devil, too, when you let Him. Why wait, for example, until you are bent over with arthritis before you seek healing? When it starts, rise up in the name of Jesus and rebuke the devil. Arthritis doesn’t come from God. Jesus let you know it came from the devil when he healed a woman who was bent over and couldn’t raise herself up: Ought not this woman…whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day (Luke 13:16)? Jesus identified her affliction as the work of the devil. Instantly she was set free. The Bride will learn how to defeat the devil in this final hour. That’s the reason she will have better health than she has ever had, greater victories. She will recognize when the devil comes against her and be ready for him.

Get ready for the devil, not with your pillow and bed but with God’s overcoming power. The Bride will feel the power of God, the Spirit of God and His glory coming to defeat the devil. How wonderful, how great indeed! Neither give place to the devil (Ephesians 4:27). Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil (Ephesians 6:11). Stand against all his fiery darts, and that includes sickness. Put on the whole armor of God. Satan will hinder you if you let him, but how marvelous to know the greatness of God that freely offers you overcoming power!

Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer (I Corinthians 10:10). You head the devil off by not grumbling, not taking on the wrong spirit. When you take on a spirit unlike the Holy Spirit, you are giving way to the devil, opening the door for oppression, depression, despair as well as sickness. God hates murmuring and complaining. He sent fiery serpents, poisonous snakes among the Israelites when they murmured and complained. Many were bitten and died. At other times God let multitudes of the Israelites fall by the sword of death to stop their murmuring.

How much have you murmured in the last week, the last month? God is seeking to help people, but some don’t really want help. They would rather complain.

Are You Ignorant of the Devil’s Devices?

Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices (II Corinthians 2:11). You don’t have to let Satan take advantage of you. Some people worry that others will take advantage of them but never consider that the devil is doing the same thing. Has the devil ever taken advantage of you? If a human being had done to you what the devil has done, you would be up in arms. The Lord wants you to use all that anger on the devil, to not be ignorant of the devil’s many devices.

Paul learned the devil’s pitfalls, and he tried to teach them to the Early Church; but after those first few glorious years, a falling away came. It ended in darkness and chaos down through the centuries. But the Bride will learn the devices of Satan and be prepared; the Lord is teaching her, showing her how to defeat the devil for her life.

In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not (II Corinthians 4:4). If you don’t believe the Holy Scripture, your mind will become blind to the workings of God. Lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them (verse 4). The devil does everything he can to blind your mind so you don’t take in and keep the flow of the truth. He seeks to get you to carry anger, strife, resentment, envy, feelings that open you up to him. The devil can do many things with an irritated, dissatisfied mind. God’s people must put away all of these things, know the devices of the devil.

Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil (I Timothy 3:7). The devil busies himself setting traps for God’s people. That’s the reason you must walk close to God, yielding to the Holy Spirit so you will know where those traps are. Satan digs a pit, covers it over; but if you are guided and directed by the Holy Spirit, He will show you every trap of the devil.

For some are already turned aside after Satan (I Timothy 5:15). The “some” Paul is talking about had at one time walked with God. And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will (II Timothy 2:26). If the devil can get your mind, he can trap you, take you at his will. Your mind must work through the Spirit of God so you can accept His instructions that will free you from the devil’s snare. Many of God’s people have fallen into all kinds of traps of the devil because they haven’t given their minds over to the Lord. They have suffered hardships and heartaches they would not have had to experience had they not fallen into those traps. The traps of the devil are more dangerous than all the cruel traps made by human hands to catch and destroy animals. Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7).

No Longer Will Satan Be Prince of the Air

When sin was found in Lucifer, he and the angels following him were cast out of Heaven to never enter the main Heaven again. And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven (Luke 10:18). Heaven has different levels. Jesus saw Lucifer fall when God cast him out of the main Heaven, and He will see him fall again in the Tribulation Period when Michael and the angels battle against him. It will be a great war in Heaven, not in the main part, but in a lower-level where Lucifer is prince of the air. The devil cannot enter God’s Heaven, the site of the holy city and the wonderful things of God. He does not get to look at our mansions or go through the gates of pearl and walk down the Avenue of Glory, the street of gold.

But there are heavens that the devil can enter; for example, the place the sons of God present themselves before God. Satan goes there to accuse the brethren, but this is not the main Heaven.

In Revelation we read of another battle between the host of Heaven and the devil, one which will take place in the future. And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him (Revelation 12:7-9).

The Bible calls Satan by four different names in this passage: the Great Dragon, Old Serpent, the Devil and Satan. The Lord wants you to know this is the same devil He cast out of Heaven many thousands of years ago. Remember, Satan has been prince of the air since he was cast out of God’s Heaven, but this battle will end that reign forevermore. Michael and God’s angels will win over him. And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night (Revelation 12:10).

We don’t know how many heavens exist, but the devil, cast out of the main Heaven ages ago, will also be cast out of any other Heaven he was able to enter. He won’t be able to move through the air the way he once could; God will take that freedom away from him. God can do anything He wants. God can handle the devil; we can’t.

Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time (Revelation 12:12). Satan is a believer now, knowing he doesn’t have much more time to work. No longer the prince of the air, Satan can’t get back into any of the heavens or appear before God ever again.

And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman [Israel] which brought forth the man child. And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent. And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood (Revelation 12:13-15). Think what the devil can do—cast out water as a flood after a fleeing Israel! And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth (verse 16). If you saw a flood coming would you have faith to believe God would cause the earth to swallow the waters to keep you safe? He will do it in the Tribulation Period for the Israelites; the Lord can deliver His people any time. And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ (verse 17).

I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan’s seat is…where Satan dwelleth (Revelation 2:13). The Lord is saying He knows where Satan lives; He knows where to find him.

And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years (Revelation 20:2). When God gets ready to chain Lucifer, He will send only one angel to bind him and keep him in the bottomless pit for a thousand years. Notice again, the Lord wants you to have no doubt that He is talking about the real devil, the archenemy of God, the one who is the beginning of all evil, all sin, the one who created sin. Again God uses four names for him.

And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison (Revelation 20:7). And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever (verse 10).

A New Heaven, a New Earth

I want to more fully explain the heavens so you can have a picture of how this takes place. And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea (Revelation 21:1). Any heaven or heavens he devil could get into after he was cast out of the main Heaven God will destroy. He will destroy the earth that Lucifer has walked to and fro, up and down on.

Jesus ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things (Ephesians 4:10). Jesus ascended into the main heaven with His shed blood and offered it on the altar of God.

The words of Paul: I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven. How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter (II Corinthians 12:2,4). Paul was caught up into paradise, into the greatness of God. Lucifer couldn’t get into that place; it was sealed off from him.

But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat (II Peter 3:7,10-12)? God will get rid of sin forevermore. The heavens that are going to be destroyed do not include the main Heaven. Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness (verse 13). The Lord is going to make new heavens when He makes the new Earth. We don’t know just what they will be like. John saw the new Jerusalem coming down on the new Earth.

Everyone Has a Final Decision

Can the angels of God be tempted by the devil? No. They made their final decision to stay with the Lord when the separation came between them and the other angels that went with Lucifer. The devil can never tempt them again to go with him, to become unholy. When we make our final choice and enter into the presence of the Lord in our glorified bodies, the devil cannot tempt us with sin again, either. The devil will be put away for good.

Study these scriptures I have lined up for you. Weigh them out. Learn your enemy, how God will handle him. Know the power of your God, the might of Him and the outcome of the battle between God and the devil. Your thinking is to be on souls, saith the Lord, and bringing in the harvest. The Lord will take care of the rest; He will give the Bride power over the enemy.

Rising up with the knowledge of God, with the wisdom of God, we are more than conquerors. We will have all the wisdom, knowledge and know-how that the Early Church had, saith the Lord, to do battle in this last and final hour.

The devil will not be able to put some of you down the way he has in the past. Your will rise up, your eyes opened; the Holy Spirit is going to direct you, saith the Lord. You’ll be able to defeat the devil, able to trample him underfoot. He cannot keep you down the way he has kept some of you, worrying you half to death. The Bride will not have that problem in this last hour, saith the Lord. She knows that she is a conqueror of the devil because she has the Jesus-power, the Jesus-greatness, the power of the Holy Ghost moving within, the power of God that the devil fears. Resisting the devil through the Word of God will put him to flight. She will not give place to him, not let him have any part of her life whatsoever, but will have complete freedom and liberty, happiness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost. Blessed be the name of the Lord!

War, war, war with the devil! If you listen to God, you won’t fall into another of the enemy’s traps. Take the direction of the Holy Spirit and never rebel against God in any way. Go forth in the power of the Holy Ghost just as Jesus did, and victories, victories, victories will be yours.

Who is she who cometh forth as the morning like a mighty army with banners? Who is she? The Bride of Christ with all this knowledge, all this greatness. She has taken on her wonderful Jesus completely. With love in perfection, she is doing His work.

Aren’t you glad to be here for the final battles before the Church goes home? Aren’t you glad you’re here to help take Jesus to the world? Aren’t you glad you’re looking for Jesus to come in the near future? Aren’t you glad that you have Jesus in your heart, that you’ve climbed to the Upper Room and been baptized in the precious Holy Ghost? Aren’t you glad that you can see clearly from Earth to Heaven? Aren’t you glad that you know your hand is in the nail-riven hand, that there is victory for you in Jesus? Aren’t you glad every time you pray that you know somebody is listening, that you have the Word, the truth and you know the truth and are free through the truth of God? You know you’re going to stay free because you’re keeping he truth and living in the truth! It’s time to shout, to rejoice and praise God.

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths (Proverbs 3:5,6). When the Lord directs your paths, He will say, There’s a trap; the devil is working. Go another way. Never argue with the Lord. Thank Him and bypass what He warns against no matter what or who. If the Holy Ghost says something is a trap, He is right. He knows all the devices of the devil, all his snares.

Know the Greatness of God for Soul, Mind and Body

Sinner, you are missing out. You don’t want to lose your soul; you don’t want to go to hell or be in that lake of fire with the devil, his demons and sinful humanity. You can go to Heaven; Jesus came all the way to Earth to make it possible. He came to destroy the works of the devil. We wrestle not against flesh and blood; our enemies are Lucifer and the fallen angels, demons. That’s the reason we fast, pray to have power from On High over those evil, devilish spirits.

If you need Jesus, pray with me now: Oh, God, save my soul. Forgive me for all of my sins. I’m sorry, Lord, that I sinned against you; but I have come home. I’m going to serve you the rest of my life. I believe the blood f Jesus washes away all of my sins. Come into my heart, Jesus! Come on in, Jesus!

If you meant that prayer, He has come. Start reading your Bible, praying, loving God and doing His will.

You who are sick and afflicted, get ready for the Lord to heal you. He is the Lord who healeth all thy diseases (Psalm 103:3). Oh, Lord, I bring the cancer patients, the heart patients, the crippled, the sick and afflicted, people with all manner of sicknesses and diseases, the little disabled children. I bring them all. In the name of Jesus I inject your power from your supernatural gifts of healing and your gift of miracles. Through the power of the Holy Ghost in the name of Jesus: Heal! Heal! in the holy name of the Lord.

Yea, saith the Spirit of the Lord: I have given my servant knowledge and wisdom and light to give to you so that you can learn the ways of your enemy and mine. You must know his ways. You have shed so many unnecessary tears. You have been cast into many valleys that you would not have been cast into had you known the snares of the enemy. Had you known the devices of Lucifer, you would not have suffered as you have suffered. My people have suffered many things because they did not have knowledge of their enemy, and he deceived them into thinking they had to be in that valley. They were deceived in thinking that I willed them to be in that valley. Not so.

Now in this last hour, my true people must know. My true people must be victorious and do my work. My true people must not be cast down by the hand of their enemy and mine. I will give my people direction like they have never had direction before. I am giving you knowledge now in these messages as I open up the mysteries. That which has been mysteries to you: no more. I did not intend for them to be mysteries, but because of the darkness, because of the deceit on down through the years, so many have failed me and didn’t carry the true light and didn’t carry my true Word. My knowledge has been covered up by the enemy, but I’m uncovering my greatness now, and I’m uncovering the works of the devil so that you will know how he works, when he works, and know the limit of his power and know the greatness of my power working within and through you. Do not be afraid of this hour. This is the hour of my greatness and yours. This is the hour of my mighty victories and yours. Walk with me. Walk with me. Walk with me. Walk with me. I am walking planet Earth one more time before judgment, one more time—and walk it with me, saith the Lord.
