What does Jesus mean to you? Your life and your soul depend on that question. How much of Jesus is a part of your lifestyle, your actions and your words? How much of Jesus is working in you and manifesting through you? The Bible reveals many wonderful things about Jesus, and He can be a great blessing and have a powerful impact on a person’s life.

Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me (John 14:6). Jesus is the only way to Heaven, and His life and teachings are the roadmap showing you the way there. Jesus is to be your eternal life; but first, He must be your sin-bearer. The Bible says Jesus bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed (I Peter 2:24).

At Calvary, Jesus took upon Himself the sins and sicknesses of the entire human race so that whosoever will believe upon Him can be saved, set free and receive eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16).

Because of Christ’s sacrifice at Calvary, He is also our healer and the deliverer of all our sicknesses and diseases. His divine blood flowed from His human body at the whipping post and then on the tree at Calvary; and it brought healing and deliverance for soul, mind and body.

Dine on the Word

Jesus said, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst (John 6:35). Is Jesus your spiritual nourishment? Your physical body came from the dust of the Earth; so it can only be nourished, fed, strengthened and satisfied with that which comes from the Earth. The soul came from God; so it must be nourished, strengthened and edified with that which comes from God—the Word. Jesus said, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God (Matthew 4:4). God’s Word is life to the soul, which will live on for eternity.

Each day, the spiritual person needs Jesus and His teachings to provide them with strength and spiritual life. Jesus is the vine from which the life of God flows to you. He said, I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing (John 15:5). Do you depend on Jesus like that and truly believe you can do nothing without Him?

In the natural, you see branches that are connected to a vine, yet they are dead and fruit-less; so you pluck them off. Are you really connected to Jesus and drawing life from Him? Examine your life today and find out whether or not it is pleasing God and bearing spiritual fruit day by day. The answer to that question will show you how much Jesus means to you and how much you truly are drawing from Him each day. Without Jesus and His life flowing within, your life will be fruitless and worthless to the Kingdom of God.

The vine, Jesus, does not just provide life to us; He provides it in abundance. Jesus said, I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly (John 10:10). Jesus has all the life you need with plenty left over; but as a child of God, it is your responsibility to draw from that life daily. How much of that life are you drawing on?

Complete in Christ

Jesus wants to be your fellowship. He said, Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me (Revelation 3:20). Jesus gave that great invitation to the church at Laodicea; and today, He gives the same invitation to every one of His churches and to every member of the body of Christ.

Jesus knocks every day because He wants to come in, but do you hear the knock; and do you long for His fellowship? Do you open the door and let Him in each day; or are you too busy with self, the cares of life, family, friends and so much more? Then when the end of the day comes, Jesus is left at the door.

Paul wrote of Jesus, And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power (Colossians 2:10). With Jesus, you are to be complete with nothing lacking; so when you as a child of God come up lacking, the problem lies within. Jesus makes Himself available, and you must learn to draw from Him. He must be your satisfaction and fulfillment.

Jesus said, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth (Matthew 28:18). Jesus has all power, and He is to be your everything. You must learn to trust Him and draw on Him for everything. You must forsake your own weak, human understanding because every time you lean to it, you will be in trouble.

The more you deny self and yield to Jesus, the greater reality you will have in Him; and the greater impact He will have through your life. Jesus said, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me (Matthew 16:24).

Give Your Burdens to the Lord

The Lord desires to carry your burdens and give you rest. How many people do you know in this world who want to do that? Jesus gave the invitation, Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest (Matthew 11:28). Jesus has the power and ability to do that because He is the head of all principality and power, and He will never give an invitation He cannot fulfill.

Jesus said, Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light (Matthew 11:29,30). Do you have rest in your spiritual walk, or is it a constant struggle and fight for you to survive? Your life is not to be that way. Jesus is ready to take every one of your burdens and replace them with rest; but He will not wrestle you to the ground and pull them away from you. You have to give them to Him in all trust and humility.

Yes, it takes humility to turn your burdens over to Jesus because you have to go before Him and say, “Without you, I am nothing. I am weak, and there is nothing I can do.” Jesus will not impose Himself on anyone. You have to surrender yourself to Him. He will meet you every time and give you the rest you need.

Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). All that Jesus did in the Bible, He is still doing today; and He will continue to do those things for each person who will look to Him and believe in Him. Jesus has not changed, and He never will. Jesus said, All things are possible to him that believeth (Mark 9:23. So with Jesus in your life, what do you have to fear or worry about? No matter what life brings your way, you will be victorious with Jesus.

Jesus, the True Foundation

The foundation is the most important part of any building or structure. Is Jesus the foundation of your life? Do you study His teachings and practice what He taught? The Sermon on the Mount is the greatest sermon ever preached by the greatest life ever lived; and in it, Jesus said, Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock (Matthew 7:24,25). You have to hear or read the sayings of the Lord, study them and then put them into practice.

Jesus went on to say, And everyone that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it (Matthew 7:26,27). Jesus was talking about those who hear His sayings but refuse to do them because of arrogance, deceit or unbelief.

When your life measures up to the Sermon on the Mount and all of Jesus’ other teachings, you will be victorious no matter what comes your way. There is absolutely no defeat in Christ Jesus. With such a solid foundation, the winds of this life can rage, the flood waters can flow, and the rains can beat down; but it does not matter. Your life will stand to the glory of God.

Wisdom Above All

Jesus said to a group of scribes and Pharisees, The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here (Matthew 12:42). Will the queen of the south rise up to put judgment upon your life? You have the words of the one, Jesus, who is greater and has more wisdom than Solomon; but like the people Jesus spoke of who refused to listen to His words, will you be condemned before God? Are you refusing to practice Jesus’ teachings and partake of His wisdom?

The Bible tells us, King Solomon exceeded all the kings of the earth for riches and for wisdom (I Kings 10:23). People traveled from all over the known world to hear the wisdom that God gave Solomon; yet in Jesus, you can have even greater wisdom. How much are you drawing on and learning from that wisdom? How much of it are you putting into practice?

Jesus brought Heaven’s wisdom to us; and the Bible says, If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him (James 1:5). Do you ask for godly wisdom every day, or do you feel content and satisfied with your own wisdom? If you are content with what you have, God will let you be; but He will take no responsibility for what you do or the decisions you make.

Solomon’s riches were earthly and temporal; and when he died, he left everything behind. When Jesus came to Earth, He made Himself poor so that all of us could be rich for eternity. For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich (II Corinthians 8:9).

A Ladder of Life or Death

Jesus said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man (John 1:51). In that verse, Jesus likened Himself to a ladder that reaches to Heaven with angels ascending and descending upon it.

The world also has a ladder, and they call it the ladder of success. Many people devote so much of their time and effort to trying to climb to the top of that ladder, but only a relative few ever reach the top. Of those who do, what good does it do them when they reach the end of their life, especially if hell will be their eternal destiny?

People may die at the top of the ladder of success; but like King Solomon, they will just come crashing down to the Earth and leave everything behind. Jesus said, For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul (Matthew 16:26)?

For children of God, Jesus is to be their ladder of success; and angels of God are standing by ready to help them throughout their climb. Are they [angels] not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation (Hebrews 1:14)? People of the world may see God’s children climbing that ladder and think their efforts are worthless and futile; but in the end, that Jesus ladder reaches all the way to Heaven.

In the eyes of God, true success is determined by how much Jesus is working in and through a person. It takes great devotion, sacrifice and self-denial to climb Jacob’s ladder to Heaven. Are you climbing daily? Are you seeking to reach greater spiritual heights in the Lord, or does that thought never cross your mind?

Jesus, Our Intercessor

Children of God have a high priest in Jesus who makes intercession on their behalf to the heavenly Father. It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us (Romans 8:34). Jesus walked the Earth as the son of man, so He understands the weaknesses of the flesh and everything we have to endure in this life. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin (Hebrews 4:15).

Child of God, you must not live in the feeling of your infirmities; you must live by faith knowing you have an intercessor who understands whatever you are going through and has the power to do something about it. You just have to look to Him.

Paul didn’t live in the feeling of his infir-mities; he declared he would glory in them. He said, Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me (II Corinthians 12:9).

Let Jesus Lead You

Jesus said, I am the good shepherd (John 10:11). Are you one of Jesus’ sheep, and is He your shepherd? The Psalmist said, The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul. (Psalm 23:1-3). Jesus will lead you if you allow Him to, and you will not want for or fear anything; but you can’t be a sheep who prefers to stray thinking you know best. You can’t prefer your will over God’s will because that will only lead you into trouble.

Jesus is the good shepherd who will lead you through life as you yield to Him. There are times when He will lead you into a place of sacrifice or into a deep valley, and you must follow. If you stray from His leadership and go your own way, you will not be of service to the Lord; and you may miss Heaven. Jesus said, Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven (Matthew 7:21).

Jesus is to be your peace and contentment in this restless society where a strong spirit of dissatisfaction controls many lives. The prophet Daniel prophesied of this thousands of years ago saying, Many shall run to and fro (Daniel 12:4). Many people search for contentment and satisfaction through money, entertainment, sports and other pleasures of this life. Others search for happiness through drugs, alcohol and other vices; but the more they indulge, the more dissatisfied they become. True contentment is only found in Jesus.

The Apostle Paul learned that no matter what he faced in this life, Jesus would be his contentment. Paul went through so much; but he could still say, I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content (Philippians 4:11). Are you always content and satisfied with Jesus?

God Will Supply

Jesus will be your strength in time of weakness. I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me (Philippians 4:13). There are times when you will encounter overwhelming situations that may take you completely off guard. How will you handle them? Will you look to Jesus and His Word? Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2).

When you trust in Jesus and His Word, He will provide you with all the grace you need to do God’s will; and His miraculous supply will be yours. But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).

Heaven’s riches never run out; so when a need arises—whether it is spiritual, physical or financial—it is time to look to Jesus. His divine supply for your life will never fail or run short; but you must always keep in mind that God promised to supply your needs, not your every want and desire. If you ever pray for God to supply a request and nothing happens, you must check to see if that request is a true need or just a selfish desire.

Eternal Life in Christ

Jesus is our resurrection, both spiritually and physically. And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins (Ephesians 2:1). By the power of Jesus’ divine blood, a person who is spiritually dead in sin is raised up to spiritual life. Jesus called it being born again. Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God (John 3:3).

When you or a loved one dies in the Lord, you have the blessed hope in Christ that the physical body will live again one day. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord (I Thessalonians 4:16,17).

Jesus is our promise of escape from the Tribulation that shall come upon this world to try all people. Jesus said in Revelation, Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown (Revelation 3:10,11). You had better be careful with whatever you receive from the Lord because you can lose it. Hold fast to the truth and let no man or devil deceive you.

When you faithfully serve Jesus in this life, He promises to give you a crown of life in the next world. Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him (James 1:12). You are blessed when you endure temptation.

You Must Endure

You don’t have to fear anything, not even times of great suffering. Jesus said, Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life (Revelation 2:10).

You will have to endure trials and persecution in this life, but don’t be afraid or seek to avoid them. Jesus said, Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you (Matthew 5:11,12). Jesus also said, In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world (John 16:33).

As a child of God, the Lord will allow you to have fiery trials because He loves you; and He will use those trials to draw you closer and make you stronger in Him. So when trials come, don’t question God or doubt Him; just hold fast to the profession of your faith and go deeper in Jesus.

Always remain faithful even until the end, whether that be in death or in the Rapture, because by Jesus and Him alone, you will live forever in a new Heaven and on a new Earth. And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband (Revelation 21:1,2).

A Way Of Escape

Because of Jesus, God’s children will never know the eternal darkness of damnation; and when this civilization comes to an end, God will take everyone and everything that is without Jesus and cast them into the lake of fire forever. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire (Revelation 20:14,15).

Friend, God sent Jesus so all could escape eternal death; and as children of God, Jesus is to be our compassion and our zeal for lost souls. But when he [Jesus] saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd (Matthew 9:36).

There are multitudes of people in the world today who know nothing of the Good Shepherd. They are like scattered sheep with no guidance, no security and no protection. They are out in the night of sin facing the danger of eternal death and damnation, and we must reach them.

Jesus told about a shepherd going forth from the ninety and nine to search out one little lost lamb. What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it (Luke 15:4)?

When that lamb was brought back, Jesus told of how all the shepherds’ friends and family rejoiced. Then Jesus went on to say, Likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance (Luke 15:7). The more you yield yourself to Jesus, the more compassion for souls you will have.

Jesus Brought Salvation

Friend, the name of Jesus is your only hope of salvation and eternal life. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Jesus is God’s gift to you, but is He your sin-bearer? Is He your eternal life?

If there is any sin or disobedience in your life, you have no part or lot with Jesus; but He came to forgive you. The Word says, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (I John 1:9). Why?—because of Jesus and His great sacrifice. On Calvary, He interceded on our behalf. He willingly took our sins and our sicknesses in His body, suffered untold agony and died on the Cross. He paid the price so we could receive the gifts of salvation and eternal life.

Friend, Jesus is the only true life, so give your heart to Him today. Pray this prayer right now and mean it with your whole heart. Oh, God, I confess all of my sins before you. Forgive me, Father, for I have come home to serve you the rest of my life. I believe that Jesus Christ spilled His divine blood and died on the Cross for the atonement of my sins and for the healing of my body. I believe He rose again and that by His sacrifice, all of my sins are washed away. Come into my heart, Jesus! I accept my gift from God! If you meant that prayer, God’s love gift to you is yours!

Jesus Brought Miracles

Now, in the blood that saved your soul, there is power to heal your body. Before Jesus went away, He told His followers, And these signs shall follow them that believe...they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover (Mark 16:17,18). Jesus has power over all.

Friend, I’m the Lord’s believer, and I’m agreeing with you today. Whatever your need or prayer request is, God knows and understands; and He is waiting for you to look to Him in faith believing so He can provide for you.

Lord, in the name of Jesus, I bring the people before you according to the Word of Jesus. Lord, lay a healing hand upon each one and supply their need. Lord, by the power that is in the blood of Jesus, I curse every sickness and disease. Lord, break every bondage; deliver them and set them free! Heal and deliver each one in the holy, blood name of Jesus. And, Lord, we will forever give you the honor, the praise and the glory. Amen.

Friend, watch every improvement and give God all the praise, honor and glory for what He has done for you. Then let your light shine and tell others of what Jesus has done for you.

Receive the Holy Ghost

Now, Friend, you must go on to receive the Holy Ghost. The Bible says, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call (Acts 2:38,39).

The Holy Ghost is God’s gift to you, and it is made available by Jesus and His sacrifice. If you are born again, blood-washed and have Jesus in your heart, you can have this gift come and live in your temple of clay. Just lift your hands unto the Lord and start praising Him. Keep glorifying and praising Jesus, and the Holy Ghost will come in through those praises.
