The eleventh chapter of Hebrews is known as the faith chapter; and it opens with, Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report (Hebrews 11:1,2). Those good reports did not come through human faith; they came through divine faith.

Everyone who wants divine faith can have it because God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith (Romans 12:3). It takes that measure of faith to find Calvary, so no one can be saved without using it. Unfortunately, many people won’t use their measure of faith, and that’s why they have never found Calvary.

Many people think salvation is going to church and being baptized, but those things won’t take you to Heaven. Jesus said, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God (John 3:3). Everyone has to go to Calvary, and the Holy Spirit will take you there through faith if you will allow Him to.

Divine faith gives you great power; but you must be mindful of it and protect it at all times. You can never let even one little bit of doubt in because divine faith can’t work with doubt. Doubt weakens you and prevents you from using divine faith like you should.

Faith Can Move Mountains

You must be so grateful that you can have a weapon as powerful and mighty as divine faith. That faith can move mountains of sickness and disease; mountains of fear, frustration and despair; and mountains of sorrow. Divine faith will bring you great strength and overcoming power. It will bring you abundant joy, faith and victories every day.

Jesus told the disciples, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them (Mark 11:22-24). Some people think that means they can ask God for lots of money, fancy cars or a mansion; but that is not what Jesus meant. God will answer any prayer that is prayed in His will.

God’s faith can do so much for you, so you must never get away from it. It works through the blood of Jesus, and you have to hold on to it with your life. Then that faith will always be there to destroy anything that comes against you.

Faith Tells You…

Divine faith works hand in hand with divine love, so you can’t have one without the other; and when you yield to them, you will hold no grudges and carry no unforgiveness. You will have no trouble forgiving others because you know God first forgave you. Jesus said, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you (Matthew 5:44).

Faith tells you that your sins have been washed away in the blood of the Lamb, so you are no longer under the dominion of sin. For sin shall not have dominion over you (Romans 6:14). You are righteous and holy before God, and you must stay that way. Jesus never said, ”Go and sin a little bit less.” He said, Go, and sin no more (John 8:11).

Faith tells you, I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me (Philippians 4:13). You don’t have to be afraid of the devil or the darkness that is now covering the Earth because the light of God is shining for you day and night. Faith tells you that you are connected with Heaven night and day; and that is why Jesus could say, I knew that thou hearest me always (John 11:42).

Faith tells you that you are greatly blessed and that your prayers are being answered. It tells you Bible fasting through the blood brings mighty results. Paul had the faith of God, and he said he was in fastings often (II Corinthians 11:27).

What Divine Faith Will Do

Human faith brings about wrong thoughts and wrong opinions. Divine faith enables you to live in faith, work in faith and think through faith; and it enables the Holy Spirit to feed you the thoughts of the Lord. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things (Philippians 4:8).

Faith takes you to the Word, and only through faith can you digest it. Faith gives you the power you need to receive the Word in its fullness and act it out. So many people today meditate on all kinds of things, but only by meditating on the Word will you get anywhere with God.

Faith can tear down all walls for you and bring the greatness of the Lord to you so you won’t walk around with your head hanging down. Faith says, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God (Hebrews 12:2). Jesus came to Earth as a man, but He used divine faith.

Faith is a gift from God. God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith (Romans 12:3). You can’t work for it or shout it down from Heaven. Some people think they can shout at God and get results; but when their shouts are over, nothing happens because they weren’t ready to believe. Instead, they were full of doubt, so they got nowhere with God.

Live by Faith

When the Israelites were up against the walls of Jericho, the Lord directed Joshua to instruct the soldiers in the army to walk around those walls for six days with their mouths shut. God didn’t want those people to say one word that wasn’t a word of faith. By the seventh day, those soldiers were all finally filled with divine faith; and the walls of Jericho came tumbling down.

If you don’t have the faith you should, don’t just keep crying out to God for it. Keep your mouth shut and seek God until you get rid of all doubt. Think on the Word and march in harmony with the Lord. Then you can have and use the faith of God. The just shall live by faith (Romans 12:3). You have to live by divine faith every day.

Some Christians have it so hard, and they have such small amounts of joy and happiness because they are trying to live the Jesus life without divine faith; and that won’t work. You have to have divine blood, divine love and divine faith; and that is the faith Jesus demonstrated when He was on Earth. He said, According to your faith be it unto you (Matthew 9:29); and the blind received their sight, and the crippled walked. They used divine faith, and it happened. You too must use divine faith in this final hour if you want to get results.

Faith talks, and it always says the right things. Faith never talks discouragement, fear, sickness or doubt. Faith in God heals and delivers. The prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up (James 5:15).

Use Your Faith

Never say you don’t have any faith because if you have no faith, you have no salvation. You can’t be saved without that measure of faith I have already talked about, so every child of God has faith. The problem is that many Christians don’t use it; and instead, they live by their feelings. They pray, fast, study the Word and praise God only when they feel like it; and that’s not what God wants.

You must praise God because He is worthy no matter how you feel. It can bring you out of sickness, depression and so many other things unlike God. You must praise God when the going is rough and when the battle is hard. You must praise Him not only when the victory is great but also when the valley is deep.

So many children of God have divine faith; but as I have already said, they don’t use it. It’s like a person who has a lot of money but won’t spend it, so they are starving. It isn’t enough for you to say you have faith; you have to use it and let it work for you. For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also (James 2:26).

By faith, Enoch walked with God; and by faith, Abraham offered his son. That’s the Word in action. God said it; they believed it, and that settled it. You have to have faith in God that pleases Him, and you have to use it just as Enoch and Abraham did. But without faith it is impossible to please him; for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him (Hebrews 11:6).

Faith Brings Blessings

When you have faith in God, you are able to use that faith for yourself and others; but some of you don’t do that because you don’t have enough confidence in God or His faith. Ask yourself, “How much do I trust God? Do I trust Him enough to believe every word in the Bible, or do I pick and choose what I do and don’t believe?” If you don’t have the faith to believe God’s Word, you don’t have faith in God.

Every blessing you receive comes through divine faith. If you are not being blessed as you think you should be, examine your faith. Paul said, Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith (II Corinthians 13:5). Without faith, you can’t have an obedient spirit that can receive God’s blessings.

Many so-called Christians are disobedient before the Lord because they don’t use the faith God has given them. Many also don’t believe people can live pure and holy when God said, Be ye holy; for I am holy (I Peter 1:16). Faith believes the Word of God.

Have No Doubt

The lack of faith is what has caused so many churches to become spiritually dead. It has caused Christians who were once on fire for the Lord to become lukewarm. You have to use faith to keep it alive. But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead (James 2:20)? Heaven has plenty of faith available for us to use; and Jesus said, Only believe (Mark 5:36). You may say, “I believed, and it didn’t happen.” Then you didn’t believe God’s way. You have to believe with divine faith.

When Jairus’ daughter died, Jesus told him, All things are possible to him that believeth (Mark 9:23). Then Jesus went to Jairus’ house; and when He arrived, the house was full of mourners. Jesus said to them, Weep not; she is not dead, but sleepeth. And they laughed him to scorn, knowing that she was dead. And he put them all out, and took her by the hand, and called, saying, Maid, arise. And her spirit came again, and she arose straightway: and he commanded to give her meat (Luke 8:52-55). Divine faith puts doubt outside and destroys it.

When Daniel was facing the lions’ den, he had divine faith with no doubt. Then when he was thrown into that den, the lions didn’t hurt him. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no manner of hurt was found upon him, because he believed in his God (Daniel 6:23).

When trouble comes and your faith is tried, some of you think God has turned against you; but that is not so. God has actually turned toward you. The Bible says, There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it (I Corinthians 10:13). If your faith does not stand God’s tests, then it’s not divine faith because God’s faith stands every test. People are the ones who don’t stand, but you can’t let it weaken your faith and trust in God when others fall.

No Shortage of Divine Faith

Some of you have more faith than you think you do. You may try to check it with your feelings, but you can’t do that because faith and feelings have nothing in common. You have to realize that you have just as much faith when your feelings say you have none as you do when you think you’re about to fly away.

You can have all the divine faith you can use and more, so you have nothing to worry about. There is no scarcity of divine faith, yet some of you are so stingy with your faith that you are like little, old misers. Faith won’t do you any good if you hide it away, so why do you do that? What are you keeping it for? You won’t need to use faith in Heaven, so why not use it now?

You may say you just can’t take any more; but if you look around and can’t find a way of escape, you must humble yourself and say, “God, I can take some more.” That’s faith talking. Never let your human faith have a louder voice than God’s faith, and you do that by listening to the Holy Spirit. Jesus said, He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith (Revelation 3:6). The Spirit connects with you through faith.

Divine faith will calm every storm, so you must check your faith before the storms get too rough and make sure it is always grounded in Jesus Christ. If you don’t have that kind of faith, you must get it and start using it; but you can’t do that if you are not a child of God. You must start by receiving true salvation through heartfelt, sorrowful repentance. Begin your journey by saying the sinner’s prayer located on page 6 of this magazine. Then go on to receive the baptism in the Holy Ghost so you can live by faith every day.
