In Bible days, more people listened to the devil than they did to God; and the same thing is true today. Jesus said to a group of Pharisees and Sadducees, Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it (John 8:44). Jesus knew those men were hypocrites.

There is no truth about the devil; so why do you listen to him and worse yet, believe him? Don’t believe the stories Satan brings to your mind to frighten you, torment you or make you think the Lord doesn’t love you. The devil wants you to think you are not worthy of God’s blessings and that you will never make it to Heaven; but if you are a child of God, there is no truth about it. The quicker you learn that, the less the devil will be able to bother you.

It is dangerous to believe the lies of the devil because that can damn your soul. The Bible says, And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness (II Thessalonians 2:11,12).

Beware of the Devil’s Voice

The devil’s voice is one of hate, torment, fear, agony and death. It is a voice of darkness and weakness and of lies and deceit. Satan will tell you there is no need for you to pray, fast or read the Word. He will do everything in his power to get your attention off of God and feed you any lie or deceit he thinks you will accept. He wants to keep you away from the truth and in bondage; but Jesus came saying, And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free (John 8:32).

Jesus said, The thief [the devil] cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy (John 10:10). Why listen to someone who is a thief and out to destroy you when you could be listening to Jesus? He said, I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly (John 10:10). That is the voice of life, love, grace, faith and compassion.

When God created Adam and Eve, the devil had no power to make them do anything; and if you are a child of God with divine blood in your soul, the devil has no power to make you do anything either. You have to give over to him and believe his lies and deceit for him to be able to get anywhere with you.

In Eden, Adam and Eve heard the voice of God, and that was the only voice they were ever to listen to. They never were supposed to have listened to the serpent voice of the devil, but Eve did; and that is why the devil was able to get to her. Let that be a warning to you that if you begin listening to the devil, you will be in big trouble too. I see children of God who are so troubled because the devil told them one thing or another, but that is ridiculous! Those people know it’s the devil talking, yet they listen to him and even believe him.

Never Let the Devil In

Some children of God let the devil torment them with despair, oppression, depression and so much more when none of those things come from Heaven. The Bible says, Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights (James 1:17).

Jesus came not to give oppression but to take it away. God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him (Acts 10:38). Notice that verse says “oppressed of the devil” and not “oppressed of God.” If you are a child of God, you must never let the devil’s darkness into your mind because it will take Heaven’s peace and joy right out.

The devil wants to take over your mind, and he begins by dropping in tiny spirits of deceit. Those spirits cluster together to form leeches on your mind. The devil keeps dropping in more and more spirits which create more and more leeches until your mind is completely taken over. Even with just one or a few leeches, you won’t be able to think right, pray right or study the Word like you should. Your heart will no longer be in fasting, and you won’t have the zeal for God you once did.

Listen to the Holy Spirit

The Lord said seven times in the book of Revelation, He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith (Revelation 2:7,11,17,29; 3:6,13,22). As a child of God, you are to hear what the Holy Spirit is saying, not what the devil is saying. When you are God’s property, the devil has no claim on you; so don’t listen to him as if he does. What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s (I Corinthians 6:19,20).

You were not purchased with silver and gold but with divine blood, and it brings you freedom and liberty; but the devil will constantly tell you otherwise. Sometimes, Satan uses people to do his talking for him, so you have to beware of whom you are talking to and of what they are saying. You have to be able to recognize the devil’s work and his serpent talk no matter who he is using.

When you listen to the devil, he will tell you that you cannot be healed; but the Bible said, I am the LORD that healeth thee (Exodus 15:26). Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases (Psalm 103:2,3).

Satan’s Words Lead to Hell

If you keep on listening to the devil, you will be in danger of falling away from God just as Adam and Eve did. At first, you may just listen and not do the things the devil wants you to; but still, you will be robbed of many blessings. You will have no peace in your mind because you will be fighting oppression, depression, despair and anything else the devil brings your way. Again I say, you have to be able to discern Satan’s serpent talk.

The devil will tell you there is no hell or lake of fire when the Bible says, And all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death (Revelation 21:8). Jesus told the disciples, It is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: Where their worm [the soul] dieth not, and the fire is not quenched (Mark 9:43,44).

Hell is a real place; and once you are there, you can never get out. Many people and even preachers don’t believe that, but everyone will be a believer one day.

Reject Satan’s Permission

Do not be deceived by the devil. He will give you permission to do anything you want to and to satisfy every lust of the flesh, and that is why so many people listen to him. He will give you permission to tell a lie when you are in a close place saying that God understands and will not hold it against you. He will give you permission to bypass divine, blood salvation and tell you it is okay just to join a church and be baptized in water when the Bible says, And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission (Hebrews 9:22). Without the blood, there is no deliverance from sin and no Heaven.

Jesus brought that divine blood to Earth to destroy sin, sickness and every work of the devil. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil (I John 3:8). Yet many preachers don’t preach about Christ’s blood or its many benefits.

The devil will give you permission to take part in the 17 works of the flesh. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God (Galatians 5:19–21).

The devil will tell you it’s okay to commit a little “no-harm sin” once in a while, but there is no such thing as a “no-harm sin.” The Bible says, The soul that sinneth, it shall die (Ezekiel 18:4).

Stop Listening

Beware, Christian. The devil wants to make you think it’s okay to detour from the Lord’s straight and narrow road; but Jesus said, Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it (Matthew 7:13,14). We are to walk God’s way and never listen to a voice of no truth.

Oh, Child of God, why do you let the devil discourage you or make you sad? Why do you let him tell you that you should stop going to church because you aren’t getting anywhere with God? Why do you listen when he says you can’t have happiness and peace from Heaven when the Lord promised you could? Happy is he...whose hope is in the LORD his God (Psalm 146:5). Jesus said, Peace I leave with you...Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid (John 14:27).

It is time to stop listening to a liar who denies all the promises of God and the wonderful fruits of the Spirit. Wake up and know that when you listen to him, you will lose your anointing to pray, fast and study the Word of God; and you will lose your desire to be what God wants you to be. The Bride must be listening to the voice of her Groom in this final hour. Her heart must be set upon Him and His soon coming.

The Lord says, “Come”

The world has never before been in such an awful condition, and more evil things and calamities are happening every day. There is great danger wherever you go, but the Bible said it would be like this. This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come (II Timothy 3:1). Sinner, Backslider, we are in the last days no matter what the enemy tells you, and the coming of the Lord is nigh at hand. You have to hurry home because eternal darkness is about to settle in on you, and you will never be able to escape it.

Come to Jesus today and stop listening to the devil tell you that you have plenty of time. There are many people screaming in hell today who believed that lie. They are damned forever because they listened to the devil’s voice.

Lift your hand right now and say this prayer with me: Oh, God, save my soul. Forgive me of my sins. You said if I would repent with godly sorrow, you would forgive me. I am so sorry, Lord, that I sinned against you, and I believe the blood of Jesus washes away all of my sins. Come into my heart, Jesus! Come on in, Jesus! If you meant that prayer, Jesus has come; and He is yours.

You Can Be Healed

If you are sick and afflicted or bound with a deadly disease, listen to Jesus saying, Wilt thou be made whole (John 5:6)? You may have AIDS, cancer, diabetes, heart trouble or paralysis; but God is ready to heal you. There is no case too hard for our God.

The Bible says, And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up (James 5:15). So let’s pray right now: Lord, I bring the people to you. You are the Healer, and I am your believer whom you have endowed with your supernatural gifts to bring healing to the people. In the precious, blood name of Jesus, I curse all their diseases. Heal! Heal! I put every disease and affliction under the blood to be destroyed right now in the name of the Lord!
